| Not going to lie, seeing Monica with those glasses gives her a more mature look. A friend from the past also made their way back to Monica's life again. It seems this whole competition turned more complicated than it looked. Monica had so much shit to deal with now that I'm impressed she can keep up. |

| Bunny is a piece of pretentious trash even with the thing he did in the end. Guy is just full of himself thinking he is better than others. Now the question is how long will Monica be able to keep her identity hidden. It's clear it's becoming harder for her to hide it and i wonder how the others will react. | Men will do ANYTHING but tell you they like you. Bernie did all that nasty shit, projected insecurities on Monica, gaslit her into thinking she was the problem and constantly belittled her all because he liked her and wanted her to continue relying on him. Literally all he had to do was just say “I like and don’t want to lose you” and Monica would’ve stayed by his side. They tried to redeem him at the end, but I still don’t and won’t like the dude idc. Lana did a little too good a job on Monica’s makeup, she’s in her popular phase and getting marriage proposals mid tournament lol. Peep how defensive the boys get when dude starts getting too aggressive with Monica. Everyone is so protective of our adorable witch. Speaking of her makeup, Lana probably should’ve given her some contacts to change her eye color or changing her hair color if she really wanted to fool Bernie because that disguise really ain’t doing it lol. God it was so uncomfortable watching Bernie touch Monica’s hair and gaslight her. He’s such a nasty piece of work, Lana showed up at the perfect time and I like how this author doesn’t let things snowball. Like in a lot of stories, Lana would’ve shown up, but maybe not directly confronted Bernie and telling him off for those ugly ass glasses lmao. Saying that he’s jealous of Monica was great because he needed to hear that as well. So proud of Monica standing up for herself and saying she won’t seek validation from him anymore. Not stuttering, not crying, just getting her feelings across. Surprise surprise, all that shit Bernie talked and guess who it is coming to save him from the assassin lol. Imagine being friends with a magical genius and instead of being proud of them, you just try to tear them down to build yourself up. Dude could’ve been right next to Monica as her best friend or even more, but his pride wouldn’t let that happen out of fear she’d outgrow him. Too bad so sad, yea he kept news of Monica’s exploits secret, but even then he’s only doing it so she stays grateful to him forever. Idiot doesn’t realize she has ALWAYS been grateful to him. Great episode as usual, I love how simple these eps can be. Like really nothing crazy happened today, but it’s still such a moving experience to see Monica stand up for herself and move on from the past. |

| The episodes are back to being fantastic. For the Bernie arc, they did skim through it quite a bit, since they want to get through the final arc of LN #3 in the last two episodes, but they still did a very good job of how they adapted it, and I'm personally satisfied. This arc also helped Monica a lot, since Bernie was her absolute best friend before meeting Lana, and while he did start to hate her due to pure envy, this changed him and seems to brings some peace to both of them. |

Love how the professor doesn't even remember Bernie and only remembers him as Monica's friend. Also seems he knows that both Monicas are the same.

| So it seems Bernie isn't moving away from being a jealous prick but at least he doesn't seem to be a complete lost cause yet. He defintely didn't meet my expectations though. While this overall feels like a step forward for Monica in building up her confidence and being able to speak her mind, even if only briefly while assisted by Lana, I'm not so sure if about Bernie. |
| A relatively light episode. The proposal was funny. It feels well paced even though it omits the fact that Monica and Bernie faced each other in the LN. Now you see why I love Lana the most among Monica's friends. |

| While everyone was suffering, Claudia was having fun, and overall the episode ended on a positive note: Bernie admitted that he was just jealous of her talent, and Monica was able to more or less make peace with him after a fight with the idiot assassin. |
| I stood up and applauded when Monica put Bernie in his place, despite how much she cares for him. You can really see our girl growing up. Bernie is an idiot: his narcissism and inferiority complex caused him to lose a great friend. All he had left was Monica's fear of him, which he used to mask his envy and inflate his ego. Luckily, he came to his senses enough to help Monica in her mission and didn't reveal anything about her identity. |

| I still don't like Bernie with his petty attitude and the way he threatened poor Monica but at least with this she was able to stand up for herself (with a little from her true friend Lana). He was able to save a little face with that excuse but it didn't feel satisfying enough. Also, no idea what was up with that chess player. |

Idk Bernie isn't a bad guy deep down, he just caught up in his own pride and jealousy for Monica becoming one of the seven. Once again Lana proves to be the best friend you could ever ask for, plus that scene at the end with Claudia was cute. |
