Well, they weren't shy about the food part for this show.

Wada and Yamamoto's personalities definitely don't fit together as a pair introduced in this first episode. I hope they can get along though. Seems there's a lot of social media presence in this episode already including games. Episode is kinda cute in some ways and it seems the majority of this anime would take place at the food court.

Mangaka Shinichirou Nariie's Twitter webcomic turned manga series with only 2 volumes out, it's no wonder why the anime only has half as much as the typical average seasonal show.

Oisicle Melonpan's OP is just the kind of chill-pill song that just emits vibes.

On the outset, both classmates of the quiet Wada and the gal Yamamoto may look at odds with each other, but the truth is that the former is quite the mobage otaku, and the latter who's even more reserved than her, both hanging out at their local food court (in this case, KFC) with their conversations as their secret.

For a first, Wada being pissed off at how she's being overcharged for her KFC combo, and Yamamoto being more reserved than she usually is (other than talking to Wada at the same place all the time) to even reply to her through text. The password though...Wada1234 is easier to remember xD

For a rock n' roll shirt that Wada feels like she's being mocked at, giving to Yamamoto and letting her wear feels all the more natural...until she starts talking about aliens, intelligent lifeforms and the like for Wada to get disconnected and spam her mobage as per usual. Yet, Yamamoto thinking that her time with Wada isn't a waste, and the luck for Wada to pull a SSR of her most hatable character, what are the odds.

The cringe conversations of people that gets Wada all riled up, nothing beats the conversations she has with Yamamoto, though the latter just learning her English alongside the conversation and getting her with the placebo effect (or psibola as Wada reckons it), it sure only gets worse when the sme group of girls come back to her chagrin. Also, Wada seeing Yamamoto being the studious person is quite the unexpected switcheroo, and even to quote her in English, it's the back-and-forth conversation that works either way.

The VAs' ED is nice too, considering that this is newbie VA Hiyori Miyazaki making her debut as Wada, alongside Bocchi's VA Yoshino Aoyama.

Quite a nice chill show to start off the Monday Blues, half the usual show length though.

Yamamoto's password is Wada1234. Hmmmm...................... 😏

Okay..... Morisekinoshita Station. So, it's Sendai and Aeon Mall Natori, then.
Their seats should be somewhere around here.

I like Wada for bravely attacking the social media character, Prince Eiberu. Because Eiberu has many fans, Wada's account was targeted by Eiberu's fans. Yamamoto heard Wada's story and stopped at Morisekinoshita station. Is it just my impression, or is Morisekinoshita Station often referenced in anime? I mean, aren't railway anime also set there?

600 yen just for a KFC meal? Isn't that quite expensive? Their conversation jumped around, starting from discussing trendy jackets, flying, and even aliens. No matter what, Wada did a gacha and got an SSR rarity—why did it have to be Eiberu?

After a short break, Wada tried ramen and encountered an NPC talking about hamburgers and girlfriends, but Wada's reaction was unexpected, leading to a debate about women's values. Wada also mentioned medication at the hospital. He was curious about Yamamoto, wondering why Yamamoto always played on his phone, even though he doesn’t use social media. Ehhh??? Yamamoto used to have black hair?

I like how Wada speaks with an American accent. I mean, the way Wada says "I don't know" is really funny. There’s another fact too: Wada has a sibling. I love how Yamamoto speaks English at the end, lol.

Despite the fact that they were sitting in one location talking about random stuff, they did a great job of making this anime funny and interesting!

I'm loving this anime so far!

"Eehhh~ Sugoi~~~" hahahahaha xD. Wada is very talkative which makes the conversation between her and Yamamoto just keep flowing. I thought this would focus on the food at the food court, but in fact it's more about the activities or chats between them while eating at the food court. It's pretty funny though.

Freaking LOVED this. Hilarious. And two really unique characters. 10/10 first episode. Can't wait for more. And just a pity it's only 6 episodes.

Voice acting is phenomenal too. Especially for Wada, who does most of the talking, as it's Hiyori Miyazaki's first VA role.

It's comedy but also a social commentary.

I wish this season has CBDCT as many as CGDCT, I feel so alone in this season. People that love CGDCT must feel like heaven right now, not me though.

At least this anime use real brand name like KFC and Baskin-Robbins.

I knew this anime wasn't going to be mindblowing, but I came into it for an enjoyable and relaxing time with two girls talking to each other and eating some food and it delivered. It was very fun and I had a smile on my face for most of it! Also, the product placement was hilarious and I hope they got paid for it. Honestly, I rated it a 10/10 because there isn't anything I would really personally change about it. It does everything it sets out to do perfectly and I respect it for that. Definitely gonna keep watching!

Wait, wdym 6 EPs!? no....

But the amt of ad/brand plugs in this EPs is amazing. wwwwww

Maybe bc they didn't have anything to do (suru koto nai), that's why it's amazing (sugoi).
I hear ya Wada-chan, that convo is trully annoying af. wwwwww

I don't usually prefer Gyaru types, but Yamamoto-chan is kinda interesting. wwwwww

Just two girls talking about random stuff is enough for me. Plus with food? even better. They actually did a good job making this anime interesting and actually able to get a few chuckles out of me. So far, really fun actually and I'll be back for more random talk.

I need somebody who can love me at my worst
No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth
'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

If you stay forever, let me hold your hand
I can fill those places in your heart no else can
Let me show you love, oh, I don't pretend, yeah
I'll be right here, baby, you know I'll sink or swim

For the series "stereotypes never retire". Anime that does not disappoint the mental idea that I had made, and that despite the static scenery does not affect the enjoyment of the narration. In addition, the quality of the drawings and animations is excellent. Despite the limitations of this anime series I will continue to watch it.

The summer of slice of life is so stacked. Now we have our ‘Meet me at the Ballpark’ style series(sponsored by KFC) with two people meeting up everyday to discuss random shit, slice of life in the truest sense. I love Wada and Yamamoto’s casual conversations because they actually talk like two real life friends. Yes, it’s slow and uneventful, that’s what 99 percent of life is and that’s why we like these types of series because they feel like we’re watching other people’s slow lives!

The artstyle is gorgeous, Wada and Yamamoto are so cute and I love how Yamamoto in particular is such a departure from the usual gyaru. She’s actually very intelligent and chill, not obsessed with social media or clout, just a very laid back person who happens to like gyaru fashion

Their conversations were all so believable to me. Yamamoto studying English while Wada is playing a gacha and eating, it’s just the sort of normal everyday shit that you’d actually do with the homies wrapped in a cute anime aesthetic and I love that.

Crying tho because why are Indians taking strays in my seasonal anime lmaoo. Great premiere, but whys this only 6 episodes 😒 The engrish at the end was a bit grating too lmao

I can't grasp why Jukki Hanada took on this job! After Stein's Gate, SoraYoriMoi - Antarctica, Girls Band Cry and dozens of other memorable anime, does he really need to work for fast food stamps, as cannon-fodder for Colonel Sanders? Already the OP shows this anime is completely hollow.

I had checked out a little of the manga and thought that I would check it out later before the manga was announced, but yeah this is basically ever conversation in a Tarantino movie—but with a gal and otaku. I was surprised they greenlit this with relatively so little source material (as this would’ve been a perfect OVA adaptation), but KFC realized they had found their perfect anime adaptation (and they didn’t have to put any work into itπŸ˜„).

Background noise: the anime.

Jokes aside, it's more well animated than I thought, especially for something that's all about talking. Not surprised this is slated only for 6 episodes since the manga doesn't have many chapters yet.

The rest of the English lines were completely fine, but there's no way whatever she said first was supposed to be "Solemnity is the shield of fools", what the hell was that??

Anyway, cute little anime about two friends talking, but as with many other sketch based anime, this one could really benefit from just having a shorter length. Whatever happened to the old 7~12 minutes anime from back then?
