In a way, this felt kinda rushed.

I know they built their business towards the end to make a profit and reach audience but the thing feels like one glorified brand. Felt underwhelmed imo but it's the business world. They have to do what's needed in the end.

The gamble for Trillion News against Kawara TV and the Mithril Company, Akari chooses not to gamble and Haru having to backtrack his thoughts and get good with President Aragane Kyotaro of the Mithril Company...so that he could back them into a corner with other news executives picking up on the story's backroom deal. That forces the president to take measures to course-correct before things could get any worse, and the world's selfish man has made a deal out of his own power. The thing is, that is a convenient lie that was used for the bluff, it's so Haru.

The Mithril phone recall ends up being Trillion TV's first big scoop, though at the insane cost of win-win for all parties, with a major ad approval. Though on Kirihime's end, they're going with a game changer model, for Haru, the scoop ended up promoting both Trillion News and the TV station itself. And when things get worse (like bad weather), Gaku is there to help navigate the entire scenario from backend servers, which results in everyone being able to tune to Trillion TV on Mithril smartphones charging on power generators.

Of course, the timeskip for Haru and Gaku being billionaires, and Haru going international to buy Silicon Valley, the partnership of the two in the never-ending course of Trillion Game, it's not just one selfish person, but two.

Quite the stretch for a rather long show, but while it suffers in pacing, it's at least consistent somehow.

Wasn't expecting a double episode drop for Trillion Game, but Trillion Game is now playing with the big boys now along with Dragon Bank making Haru and Gaku billionaires. Now they are expanding their business in America to take over the big companies of Silicon Valley. I enjoyed this as a show that aimed for business bros and I'm going to check out the live action version since there is no sequel announcement.

Final Inagaki-Thursday Part 3

Akari decides to save Trillion TV's skin on air and reads the kitten story instead. Haru requests Mithril to increase ad placement in exchange for withholding the story. Arranging it in a restaurant, they were pulled into Haru's trap to get them to recall their phones. Fooling Mithril into believing there are reporters next door listening, they decide to let Tirllio nTV report the fire risk after all. It's a win-win situation: Trillion TV get their story and Mithril is depicted as honest to its customers.

Haru puts a lot of faith in weather forecasts. With Gaku speedily transferring their service to the cloud and gambling on the generators. Trillion TV remained online as the people's go-to news service throughout the typhoon. With these boosts, Kokuryuu acknowledges they've climbed into the same arena as Dragon Bank.

Mizuki forbidding Gaku from finishing his boring speech with AI 😆
Haru went to America to take on big tech.

Haru being a huge mastermind for the final episode was all I needed, so he brained the Mithril company CEO to force them speaking about the exploding phone issue even because he took some journalists where listening to them so Haru could actually record them when he had to speak about it to not ruin his reputation XD and now the channel worked so much that everyone is stuck to it even in the streets during a typhoon, what a win... not to mention this ending where it turns out the whole argument between Haru and Gaku that was teased throughout the anime is actually just another Haru's plan to infiltrate the biggest companies in the USA, now I NEED to see that in anime format, anyway I also need to read the manga, the story was too awesome and I loved the from rags to riches progression with all of Haru's plans and the goofiness around it while staying mastermind. I will miss this anime now :(

as much as i love Haru's character and personality, I'm going to have to draw a line in the story premise of trillion game breaking into the American market. Haru's strengths of being a highly intelligent, willful, and individualized persona realistically will eventually run into a brick wall if any realism were to be introduced into the plot because these attributes are simply not unique to any individual, even more so in the Extremely individualized culture and society of the United States where "harus" are basically a dime a dozen and allowed to propagate through a much looser structured and free society than that of Classical East Asia. American figures of both fame and infamy traditionally are seen as the rebel, the tyrant, the pioneer, and the trailblazer who either "don't play by the rules" or simply "makes their own rules" to selfishly empower and further their own visions and goals. This means American history as short and minute in comparison with older civilizations is proportionally and comparatively extremely fraught with conflict and violence than other civilizations on the majority of scale or metric on any measurable timeline. this in turns mean that the likelihood of Haru actually succeeding in winning the American market based off either underhand, out of the box thinking, or sheer talent alone is figuratively lower than the likelihood of him untimely meeting his demise to another "Haru". Only besides this is to join forces with other Harus who would then enter a never ending race for the limelight and the protagonist's story is canceled out with another protagonist's and the story goes nowhere.

Actually after careful reflection of East Asia to America, i would like to walk back my statement. This anime is more fiction than not, not because of the difficulty of actualization in America but actually due to the reality of East Asia. East Asia holds ultra conservative nations that still embrace and utilize feudalistic views of Classism born from Imperialism, cemented by Confucianism, and evolved through Communism. They believe and rely on hegemonies and monopolies for competition with other markets and through tribalism block all dissent and change and with that change any opportunity of growth, progress, and efficiency. In fact its less realistic to say this anime were to take place in japan than America but in truth an actual impossibility. In fact there is a reason why the richest people in the world are mostly Americans and not Japanese, Korean, or Chinese. Their cultures(or governments aka china) wouldn't simply allow it. Any Harus would simply be ostracized by society or worse "disappeared". No amount of money, smooth talking, maneuvering, or even faith potential can break loyalty to their "lords". Haru in the end realistically wouldn't even be able to get enough investors to set foot in the market not to mention play it. so i guess this anime "should've" taken place in America and not Japan, although America's main success doesn't come from "winning" so much as "creating". the moment you create something new you automatically initially have a monopoly on it and therefore are likely to succeed than competing against someone.

I can't lie, that ending felt abrupt. It went from them seeing everyone going on Trillion News to a timeskip several years in the future. It won't affect my final score but it is jarring.

I'm hoping for a second season for this because there is so much more they can do, and also they aren't trillionaires yet.

It just wouldn't be right for the finale to not have Haru pulling another Haru, and I'm glad that the apparent distance between him and Gaku in the future was all according to plan all along.

Sad how underrated this is. Hopefully it'll get the recognition it deserves eventually.

Hoping this gets a second season. Sure, the art style and theme are not everyone's cup of tea, but when you see past them, it's a good anime about business and conning. 8/10.

At first I thought that the news arc is definitely not the fastest way to trillionaire. But today my country experience big earthquake for the first time. Unlike Japan which has monthly earthquake. So everyone is checking on online news instead of traditional news. So Haru might be right. Online news is the future, no, it's already mainstream.

The final win is pretty iffy. Sure people want to know what's going on during a crisis, but who's going to go to a video news when power may be limited? You'd look for quick articles or a social media feed. Over the course of the show I definitely felt the excitement at times, and it grew on me, but it never fully escaped the sense that this is a bit too stupid and Haru's face is more than a bit too punchable.

Great, too bad it's only 26 episodes. It's a shame they didn't show how Mizuki changed her employer. The story clearly has a lot of room to expand and hopefully when there are enough chapters it will get a sequel.

This was one of the shows I extremely enjoyed from the latest seasons. It's nice they didn't make us wait another week with this cliffhanger, but the ending was a bit rushed, although not unsatisfying. I would really like to see a sequel though, there's still a lot to explore, and the theme of the show is rather unique. Even if the story had some imperfections and not always believable with how they pulled off so many gigs, I do appreciate that there was at least an attempt to make a story like this.

There's criminally not enough anime centred around finance (or financial crimes), and this show was actually surprisingly solid, going deeper into all the mechanics of climbing the top, without anything looking like they got it too easily. Maybe there was some luck involved a few times, but they had a fair share of failures too and had to actually work a lot to achieve their goals. It was very entertaining to see what new unconventional ideas they always came up with.

Not to mention, all the brilliant characters. While Haru is very charismatic and creative, Gaku was on top of his game too. Kirika-san with her sharp mind (and outstanding wardrobe collection) also became a good rival, while her father a straight-up adversary, which gave our MCs a great challenge and motivation to push forward. Other characters, like game developers, business partners and even the latest addition with the news personnel, all had their individual stories, making the overall cast rather diverse and fleshed out.

Also, I'm glad that nothing serious happened to Haru of between Haru and Gaku. These most selfish guys honestly have still a lot to do to conquer the world. And even up until the ending point, I'd rather see a slower progression where we can cheer them on, rather than just a time skip where everything is seemingly resolved.

I was a bit disappointed that Akari did not report the defects, but good thing Haru's schemes and power move forced the manufacturer into a much better situation.

And boy, did you notice Haru's alpha male posture? Yeah!

Episode 1 started with Haru claiming himself as the world's most selfish man, but Episode 26 ended with both of them telling us that they are the world's most selfish men.

Ayn Rand would be proud of them.

ETA: If there's any anime that will claim to be a spiritual successor of Trillion Game, I wish it will be about the world of investments and high finance: not just bonds and stocks, but commodities, precious metals, oils, derivatives, FOREX, and cryptocurrencies, possibly involving hedge funds.

Not sure if this is just a one-season anime since there's still a lot that hasn't been explained, but I really didn’t expect the finale to be this meh. The second half felt super rushed.

Overall, the season was good, but yeah—animation and character design felt off in a few places.

Wonder why Haru's backstory or atleast from where does his personality/ambitions stems from never got explored. The way he and rest of the cast always did background investigation of most investors/competitions. No one, not even the DB bank heiress/ trillions president expressed any desire to know his past, afterall this was thoroughly shown how knowing a person's past helps in deals or any sort of negotiations. I think this got hinted during their host arc where he was portrayed as someone who's been there before and acted the most natural way. Not the usual him faking his way through.

as someone mentioned in a forum - "Shark Tank, the anime"..definitely entertaining to watch.
