Meh, this went with a safe and more lighthearted approach to the season finale. Didn't have high expectations anyways but that little girl crying was annoying.

Ein is still being a gentleman to help anyone in need so no surprise there either. Yuri had the biggest smile on her face so good for her happiness I guess.

Kursh and May joined Ein! This episode was pretty chill, with everyone enjoying the welcome party after cleaning up Ein’s newly acquired castle.

Meanwhile, Echidna is plotting to kill Ein with other demons while he and the spirits are just living their best lives.

May sure is unapologetic as a Spirit who acts more like a toddler, and can cry for all she wants, though Ein quickly got her approval for entertaining her. As for Kursh, protecting her World Tree is important, but joining the others does help instill the whole Spirit family together by parent and guardian, one by one. That makes 4, and another 4 more to go (though the anime will not have time for that) to add to the Spirit Core register for Ein.

With Nigun's mansion given to Ein, the large spring-cleaning operation proceeds...as Alice is paired with Ein, and gets misunderstood about his love for books, interpreting it as romantic love. While the other Spirit-guardians handle the mess all over the mansion in their respective places, the spring cleaning gets done, and the welcome party can start with the dresses on his harem, and Ein being fitting of the new lord.

This is an unfinished story waiting to be told, but the show has too many issues to ever call this good.

It was a nice and relaxed season finale this time round, nothing ever wrong with these kinds of endings just kinda bland in my opinion with this show.

Be keen to see if a second season will be greenlit or if this will go into the pile of single season overpowered MC harem "shut-brain off" type show, as they have a good foundation for a second season.

Season finale was lighthearted, and fun.

I enjoyed the anime, better than the other isekai slop.

I wouldn't mind another season. 7.3/10

Meh pretty weak ending, just a quick shot of the bad guys and other sisters (were there always 4 more? maybe the picture skewed my thinking but I thought this was it). This was OK but the whole concept of tree spirits looking and acting like lovestruck girls is just kind of dumb. How do spirits who spent their entire existence inside a dungeon know about anything in the outside world or be interested in a human man (at least Alice read books)? Oh well whatever, there have been dumber concepts in anime. I wonder if they will have real human looking babies or just acorns? Too bad we won't see Ein fighting off the squirrel looking demons, "Ein stop him before he eats our babies!"
An overly generous 6/10 because I like trees.

The last episode is a relax episode. I think they deserve a peaceful moment since they, especially Ein, have been fighting so much for the whole time. Ein is really a good person, a role model for overpowered protagonist.

I won't object if there's a sequel.

honestly found this show pretty damn disappointing.... despite being a harem, its was OVERLY safe and Echina just didn't have me simping like i wanted

not to mention the very mediocre art quality only made it worse

it was about a 6/10 imo

7:10 Poor Alice couldn’t bring herself to say it as confidently as Yuri 🤣

13:30 oh dear Alice had a misunderstanding moment because of dense Ein 😅

Each of the cleaning pairs had hilarious moments 🤣

My 13th Winter 2025 anime finished! This was an enjoyable watch. Satisfying watching Ein get OP after nearly dying in the beginning which was very brutal and graphic 🤣 glad those two that betrayed him both got their karma. Ein now has an awesome harem of great girls with emphasis on Yuri, Alice, and Kursh 🙌🏻

The final episode delivered plenty of sweetness—classic for a closing—but it also served as a fitting end to the season, especially when reflecting on its beginning. Remember, in the very first moments we met him, the same man was falling into an abyss, asking, ‘Why was I even born?’ That instantly hooked me. And now, seeing his journey culminate in the words, ‘Because with you and the others, each day is more fun than the last’—it’s genuinely heartwarming.

To add some tension, we also got an ominous scene of Echidna’s henchmen gathering, clearly plotting Eins’s elimination. Looks like he’ll have his hands full in the second season!

Why do cockroaches in anime look a bit like we're watching another kind of video?

That's it? Well, I was expecting too much, like a big fight with Echidna, which might just be the sister that became a baddie, but not just in that way.

I do not know if this is really getting a second season, but it left the door quite open for it. Then again, we got to see the ladies in the fanciest of clothes which was so nice. Odd that Negun (who you callin' a N...) had that many dresses.

pretty show. fun show. sexy girls wearing sexy outfits. cute n cuddly and adorable girls doing the same. dark and gory and definitely places where multiple physical and psychological traumas were shown. noblesse oblige used in more than one place. i wonder if the source materials give Ein the plotlines of improving his new 'fiefdom'? any source readers care to comment? but this ending is almost all warm n fuffy with several funny and goofball moments. of course, foreshadowing was quite obvious amongst the demons and the next four sister-spirits to find. but if that was a setup for a S2 no immediate announcement after ep12 was made... so perhaps this show will just be another 'pump and dump promo project' to bump the sales of the source materials and merch. we'll have to wait and see. i'd watch a S2, this was a show i looked forwards to every week. especially Yuri's 'ear wiggles'... those were just funny and adorable! :D

roaches are pixelated like that so as to not traumatize the female viewers of Japan. outside of 'the little German ones' most folks are familiar with worldwide skittering around inside their houses, Japan also has lots of the BIG UGLY ONES that are multiple inches long and fly around like crazy. it is also a 'joke trope' in manga/anime in Japan that 'girls scream and run' from roaches. it is kinda like the old 1900's US and British comics and cartoons where the wife or maid hops up on a chair screaming 'Eeek! A Mouse!' like in Tom and Jerry when the ladies see a mouse/rat run around inside the house.

the 'roach' trope also goes along with other female-centric stereotypes in Japanese media.
don't like scary stories or are afraid of ghosts.

don't like spicy foods.
don't like greasy/meaty/oily foods with a strong/masculine taste.
don't like slimy/icky/sticky textures like slimes or old dirty/wet sponges/rags.

those are the ones i can remember off the top of my head, there are probably many others.

@KiliianSleipnir, thanks for that. You got me on "they fly around like crazy". If the little ones doing that over here always causes mayhem, I can't imagine one that's several times that size.

I can understand why they pixelated it... But I'm already seeing that out of context, and it's funny.

yeah the 'pixelated like H anatomy' is a long-standing joke as well. if you want to watch a slice of high school-life comedy anime with a crap-ton of raunchy humor that goes into so many tropes i lose count... https://myanimelist.net/anime/8675/Seitokai_Yakuindomo start there and enjoy the whole franchise, don't skip the OVAs or the Movies. i personally rate every piece of it 10/10 even if the visual appeal of the franchise isn't absolutely gorgeous... the writing and stories are overflowing with gut-busting humor. but some skits ARE very VERY ethno-centric to Japan... so sometimes you'll have to do a smidge of digging online to 'get a good English explanation' of what was going on. it is an episodic/periodic story, so you don't have to seriously worry about an overall storyline that tells something like 'I Don't Have Many Friends' or 'My Teen ROMCOM is SNAFU'. the skits/episodes/shows are 'basically chronological' in order from Year 1 of HS for the Male Lead till the final movie. but a few bits n pieces do hop back and forth on that timeline.

Not going to say too much about this one. I don't want to waste a ton of time being negative. I'm just glad it is over.

I will say, the OP song is awesome. I think it is super underrated and it has been a mainstay in my playlist all season. My second favourite OP song of the season actually.

As for the show, the first two episodes were pretty enjoyable in the, "so bad, it is good," kind of way. I legit enjoy things like that. Entertainment is entertainment. :P The sequence of events in that first episode which led him to discovering the World Tree was hilarious and just fun to watch. I kind of was hoping that would continue for me, but that didn't last very long. Second episode had another sequence I really enjoyed. However, it was just really boring for me after that. Plus, a harem with giant breasted females and bunch of loli's is just not my thing. Glad some peeps seemed to enjoy it though. I root for anime to do well whether I enjoyed it or not. Gave this one a...

Well this was about as “read the LN bait ending” as it gets, but I’m ngl this was one of the best episodes of the show. Ein didn’t have a PowerPoint battle with a demon or monster hoard, it was just about Ein reflecting on his journey thus far and some fantastic moments with the girls, I really enjoyed all of their cleaning bits and they were looking fantastic in the dresses.

We also added May and Kursh to the tree spirit collection, I would say waifu but May makes it hard to say that lol, but she sure is an adorable kid character, but man I’m especially sad that Kursh only just appeared in the previous episode with such an amazingly hot character design, at least she was quite prominent in her short time. And we ended on one last moment between Ein and Yuri, I may not have been the biggest fan of Ein but I can say I do really like his moments with his harem, Yuri being his first girl makes it sweeter.

And that was the “a boy and his tree harem” anime, not one of my most creative alternate titles lol. This was decent, not that good but not bad either, it’s just basically pure wish fulfillment fantasy without much else to set it aside from the others, bro hits absolute rock bottom, and then gets handed the ultimate power along with cute girls that love him, also said girls give him more power to be more broken. I did like that Ein had to hone his skills at first, but after the initial one episode training arc he kinda solo’d everything with ease and we didn’t get much details on his wins, he’d just pull moves out and delete enemies with the occasional help from his harem, with the exceptions of Zoid and Shadow’s fights. So yeah, it didn’t win much points from me in the typical fantasy plot after the first few episodes, but I did find myself really liking the girls, lots of cute designs and their interactions with each other and Ein were very fun, I think I’ll miss Pina and Alice the most, they probably had my favorite moments, I’d throw Kursh in there too but she was barely in the show.

OP and ED both rocked, I think I’ll probably miss these songs as much as the babes, 22/7’s ED was especially cool, I’ll have to check out the other anime they’ve made songs for beyond the show about them. And I guess I can say I’d watch a Season 2 of this, despite my complaints I did enjoy myself, at the end of the day these kind of shows are dumb fun, and I can’t say I’m not interested in what Echidna is up to, but for now this is it.

May's a mix of cute and fun. Man do I love Kursh, need more of her. Felt like decent epilogue for the season with everyone together cleaning and having fun. They looked nice wearing dress but I prefer them with their usual clothing. Specially Kurohime, she just feels wrong going from yukata to dress.

Somewhat okay fantasy, the waifus are great though and appeal of the anime for me. Like em all, won't mind another season cause curious about the other sisters. Also love Meegan as well.

Started out kinda like arifureta and shield hero, with the underdog maybe showing us the show wouldnt be one note...YEs beta male ish, then yes the route of op MC....and ok, and a "virtual" harem of lovely ladies...but it focused too much on just having them around and "acquiring" them before hte middle of the show. The animation was ok, the art style at times was alright, and yes some large boobs that the show obviously was trying to distract people with so we wouldnt notice the tiring storyline...but thats it. BIt of humor here and there, and the group overall was nice enough, but some things reminded me of other shows, and not really in a good way. Had to downgrade it to a 5.5/10 unworthy of being rewatched, despite hoe attractive Yuri was. AND HER BIG BUSTY SISTER WIth the eye covering! O>o lol Oh well.

So Ein can now use Kursh’s Evil Eye Nothingness, which erases anything in sight, he can assess demon aura, absorb it into his Spirit Sword, and use it to make himself stronger, along with a third ability. If a Season 2 isn’t coming anytime soon, then all of this doesn’t really matter. But the family is coming together and there are four more sisters that they need to find.

I did not expect this last episode to be spent cleaning the mansion, but we got to see a different side to May and we see that similar to Tsunade, Kursh really likes to drink alcohol.

That party seemed to be a symbolic representation of how far Ein has come and the hopes for a brighter future, and hopefully we’ll see what this future entails.

It’s interesting to hear that Ioana was holding back during her fight with Ein given that she didn’t use her aura, and she obviously won’t be making that mistake. Does Demon Aura counteract Drain Level in some way, because otherwise Ein could in theory just do the same thing he did. Or drain her aura, make himself stronger with it, and then drain her continuously. Obviously the second fight will be more difficult.

Well, hopes for a new season sooner rather than later.

Most things were predictable, and there was no reason to finish watching most episodes. The main character receiving new, stronger powers from the tree ladies made any bonding with the characters very hard. This is one of the types of shows that are slowly making me consider dropping my Crunchyroll account for months at a time to save money, then binge-watching shows.

Well this was a great rendition of The Giving Tree Waifu Edition. Watching Ein get more and more world tree spirit ladies and their guardians in his eye over the course of the season was fun. His foes were oh so confident and talked a big game, but a lot of them got one shot (and it was pretty satisfying.) My favorite moments were Ein overcoming his low self worth while batting Zoid, and I liked how Shadow was an unrepentant troll. It was satisfying to see him get defeated. Yuri was best girl, and I hope to see Kursh's VA in more shows. I'm glad this show got dubbed, and I'd be excited for a season 2.
