Simple question really the ones you'll never touch with a ten-foot pole which ones are they?

I won't read these:

Killing Stalking
Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
Anything related to Hetalia

Off the top of my head I would say just merely adaptions of light novel and original anime. There is barely anything worth reading from those + most of them don't add any extra value at all. Besides that, there are no restrictions.

MAL is far from being my primary site for literature, which is why I’ve stopped doing single-chapter updates. Baka-Updates and two French sites are far superior—more detailed, complete, and less restrictive. They're perfect for manga, light novel, and book collectors like me, making the process much less stressful and tiring. -g-

This doesn't apply to me, I don't know any manga that I for sure wouldn't read at all because I don't know what I'm missing if I haven't at least tried it.
I do tend not to read manga rated below 6.00 but okay sometimes a one-shot still goes.

Pls don't write animeS or mangaS >.< // + <50 man(g/hw/hu)a not in MAL. // Join my >manga club< here!

No way in hell will I ever read Spy X Family. It's mostly comedy and I have to say hell no to that.

Typical mangaka as of late writing graphic novels for 15 year-olds just to get payed. The things people desperately do for money.

Random mangaka can come back to us when they write something with emotionally attachable characters that die. Like when they take notes from FF7.

People should learn to take notes first. Make a manga with characters people would care about greatly when they die (like in FF7) and then we'll talk.

In conclusion, I won't read manga that people or sources tell me is mostly comedy. I didn't even have the attention span necessary to watch Lucifer which is blatant comedy.

Some manga I don't read.

However, if they are not read at this time, but are made into anime and well received, or are recommended by others, there is a possibility that I will read the details.

Oyasumi Punpun

Just seems way too depressing of a read for me. I never seem to be in the right headspace for stories like that to not fuck me up mentally.

I have no restrictions as long as there's at least a good story but there's one I think I would never ever read in my life : Henshin.
A friend summed it up to me and it just horrified the hell out of me lol
I mean it's so cruel... I don't want to see this poor Saki girl suffering like that, going through all this massive shit... I wouldn't stand such a sordid story.

Same for unfinished mangas, I buy most of mine, so I want to be sure to have a complete story in the end, although I buy some on-going ones too when I really like them.

True... The anime was really good by itself, nothing else exists lol

I refuse to read any series by Inio Asano. Why would I intentionally read something that would make me sad?

I would say Junji Ito as well because I am not a fan of horror, but I'd be willing to read Cat Diary.
I'm either crashing out or fujoing out.

Junji ito cause his storytelling sucks _SO BAD_
His art is neat but his stories are poop

Loli and shota is not my cubp of tea either.

I also get bored pretty fast if something in the story doesnt appeal to me and makes me want to read or learn more about it.

I'd say you are safe with both of those authors: Asano only achieves that level of emotional butchering on Punpun, the rest of his work is safe and Ito is not capable of creating horror at all, his manga reminds me of those very silly B-movies one laughs at

Oshi no Ko is another manga that I refuse to read.

I'm also not ruling out that the father of all manga that started it all deserves to be best which is Astro Boy.

Seasonal hype doesn't mean that Oshi no Ko will pass the test of time. When it fails the test of time, then I'll laugh at all the airheaded zoomers that stupefied that manga.

Astro Boy, on the other hand, was popular enough to be adapted into a fully 3D film or a video game.

I bet you that Oshi no Ko with the lol is and crap won't be big enough to be a franchise.

If that's a franchise, then last decade's manga are a masterpiece.

I laugh at all those stupid kids that assumed last decade's manga were gonna age like wine. They thought wrong.

Mostly for me I think I won't read that covers ecchi/hentai genre since isn't my cup of tea personally and as well the titles that have solid adaptation in form of anime show, as well some stuff that might be a bit harder to handle aka one of those a bit more "edgy" stuff...

Nothing is set in stone, but I'm usually reluctant to read the manga of material that I'm already familiar with. I'm sure that something like Jojo looks better in manga form, but being a secondary is good enough if the anime covers the entire manga. Or something like Umineko, which is an adaptation of the VN. I don't think that the manga is a waste of time, but I'd rather read something new.

One Piece. I don't understand why folks like this one. But, that's the beauty of manga. There is something for everyone and not everything is for you. That, and Gundam Wing. I love the anime so much but I don't want to change my current opinion by potentially ruining it with the manga.

I won't read manga for anime series that I'm not at all ever interested in watching mostly (specifically the ecchi titles that's gotten more popular in recent years), which makes obvious sense. There's not really a manga series without an anime adaptation that I'm too vehemently against reading. If anything, I'll just have a passing disinterest.

I don't plan reading Goodnight Punpun, but that might change, because there are some manga I said I won't read but now they are in my TBR.

If talking about genre, I tent to avoid manga for kids, harem manga and manga that are adaption of LN and original anime.

I also won't read any completed manga that isn't fully translated. That is biggest turn off for me

Usually I avoid adaptations, unless the source material is impossible to get.

I wouldn't say I never read certain types of manga but lately I find myself becoming reluctant to read anything that involves romance or tragedy. It's not that I feel bad while actually reading them but somehow I always feel like I'd rather read another manga before getting around to mangas involving those themes.

@malvarez1 honestly i agree with all of that but sadly some of the greatest manga will never be finished.

also unreadable or simply ugly manga art is a major dealbreaker for me. I have read some manga with really ugly art in the past that i would not touch nowadays.
