| The movie and TV series follow a lot of the manga, it's just not panel by panel, which is a good thing because it means each format has it's own unique parts rather than be a straight up copy. |

| After finishing this, I have to say that Ghost in the Shell has to be one of the most consistent franchises. The manga, movie, and tv series are all of high quality. While still being different. |

| Motoko was more like the SAC major in this one. It seems the movie major is the most anime original. And wow, that naked scenes surely where very daring. Was that chick fingering the major? Yes mostly this chapter was in the movie but from what i see the movie took different parts from the manga(for example the 1 chapter events where presented in the movie but with different back-story) and some story elements and made it's own little plot so yeah it isn't exactly faithful to the manga. |

| The beginning of the Puppeteer case... interesting to finally read the original who inspired Oshii (and sadly started an oversized franchise). Overall less cold than the animation. The false hacker was so sure of himself I ended up believing him (despite my knowledge). ^^" I appreciated the little epilogue picture given to the junkman. 4/5 Kusanagi's life is... rich? "Major" being used in every chapter of the french version starts to sound weird, why not translate the grade? (it would avoid confusion with "our" ranks) edit: I just found the author's words translation (hidden at the end of the book) and think I'm going to follow his advice to read all his annotations separately, because it is indeed disruptive. But it's harder to do than to tell: curiosity is strong. |

| I must be a dumbass because I have to read these chapters more than once before I understand them. Something about this manga makes it hard for me to follow. |
