| This is something I really dig. If it gets to be this good all along, I'll probably consider watching the anime as well. |

| The tone is set right from the start: - very precise environment, with its technology, political situation, etc - unaltered violence - issues/questions relevant to the future seen here. 5/5 Not surprising that Oshii reworked this prologue to use it in his movie too. |

| I've seen the Oshii film, the Arise series, and the live action movie, but I already like the manga way better than any of them because it has a sense of humor! The illustrations are hilarious, and the dark comedy of the orphanage place was priceless. This Major is way more fun than any of the other iterations I've seen, and it kinda makes me sad that the most prominent adaptation totally strips her of this badass personality. The action scenes were a little hard to follow at times, but the depiction of the cyber warfare snaking its way through multiple cyber brains was wicked cool. Not only that, but the full color illustrations blew my mind! The prologue and opening of this chapter had me flipping pages with one hand and picking my jaw up off the floor with the other. I really wish I could see scans of the raw pages to know how this version of the Major identifies herself. When she says "A little voice is urging me on... My Ghost!" I like to imagine she's enough of a hardass that she says "Ore no Goosuto!" instead of "W/atashi no." I suppose "Boku" would also be cute for her to use :3 |

| ye i like this none serious energetic Major better than the anime too they solve a case of cyber brainwashing eh and now they gonna form a better unit with higher funding and wtf this manga is read from left to right like western comics must be that the site im reading have the western version then |
