Look at all those memories. Even if they no longer want to be witches, they still made a lot of them over this season.

Glad they were able to put their differences aside in the season finale. This anime didn't need a huge emotional episode but it managed to still capture the emotions of the cast imo.

The Maebashi Witches going back to their flower shop to get their items and exit the witch business for good, eveyrone is in tandem, albeit Azu with her weight appearance. Alas, with the shop looking less than intended, the girls still being able to have their costumes from Keroppe as an encouraging effort, this does not bode well with Eiko. Nevertheless, the girls willing to take in her rants of fear and comparisons, even singing her a song of hope to purify her evil being, it does the trick alright.

The 5 girls getting along better than ever before, even for Kyoka finally becoming Mayor of Maebashi and having the pedophile of Megutan be arrested, the Witches have become idols in their own right...or it's all a dream from Yuina's end. Either way, one more song, and the flower shop will continue to operature for anyone who enters into it.

This "idol"-esque original show may have its issues from start to finish, but it's still decent overall.

A happy ending.

Well, this definitely wasn't as entertaining as Love Live!, but I think most of the episodes were pretty decent.

If I had to rank the girls:

1. Choco
2. Yuina
3. Mai
4. Kyouka
5. Azui

P.S. Croak. 🐸

A nice happy ending
Really great to see the girls as witches again and once again they put on such a beautiful performance. This was a decent show that was fun to watch.

Not a masterpiece by any means but it was an enjoyable journey with a very nice cast.
Going to miss it for sure

Wowza. What a finale. Sunrise, please continue to invest in this franchise and don’t just let it die. Easily the most underrated and under viewed show this season. Got better each and every episode and every complaint I had about the story or characters was addressed either before or in this finale. Very well done. These girls rocked my world and I’ll miss them so much. Maebashi Witches are forever!

Fairs, great resolution to Eiko’s arc. Not a bad person, just dealing with a lot of mental and emotional issues and allowed them to consume her and make her turn inwards, rather than looking to her mother and others for help. Icl. I got pretty emotional when they started showing the montage of her childhood. Poor thing just needed someone to talk to instead of shutting herself in her room. The girls had each other, she had no one and just lashed out at the closest targets which were her mom and the girls. I really wanted her to join the group as the Yohane/fallen angel kinda edgy member, but there’s still hope in the future!

I guess Keroppe not as neutral as we thought he was. He definitely really cares about the girls and missed them lol.

I like how they had Azu slowly start embracing her actual body and becoming more comfortable eating around the girls. She’s still not to the point where she’ll show everyone her true form, but she’s learning to accept both bodies as her true self. Baby steps 😂

LMAOOOO THEY ARRESTED MOGUTAN FOR GROOMING. I was gonna be so annoyed if they didn’t resolve that plot point. I still think she should’ve spoken up sooner to law enforcement, but it is what it is. They addressed that and Yua/Mai’s relationship which were the two big outstanding plot points imo. I’m fine with Mai seeing Yua again if she’s not gonna be simping and putting her on a pedastal.

The final performance was sooo good omg. 3DCGI has come so far!! I’m gonna miss these girls so much man. Hopefully we get a game or manga or something to continue the franchise even if it’s a different cast, but same concept. Sunrise, my soul is yours!!

Ah, this anime sure is the best for me. But of course it's not an actual masterpiece. It's like you need to lower your expectations with this anime, it's not an idol anime. You just watch the show for the character itself. Nothing more nothing less.

Btw Yuina's dream might be giving us an image "What if they became full fledged witch?". Even Mogutan gets arrested in the same time Yuina dream about it.

I will lower my expectations for second season and OVA. Because i'm already happy with the series. I wonder what they will do with these two plot-holes
1. Keroppe's origin and zipper scene
2. The mysterious witch that helps the girls to remember.

Was a bit letdown by this episode, sure we got a happy ending, but it kinda felt... weird? the situation with Eiko was resolved rather easily, just relied on her guilty consciousness. And the whole dialogue of "you did nothing wrong, we root for you" didn't sit right with me.
The other thing is that Keroppe was a bit of a letdown, I was expecting some twist or at least a reason why he needed witches, but none was given. I guess it's all for his entertainment, I also thought he had some "real form" and a frog was just a faccade.
Then it was unclear what actually happened with all the dream stuff, or if they actually became witches, or are they still apprentices?

Great episode with a happy ending, funny development of Yuzu's relationship with Yuina, at first not love, but in the end became the translator of her chaotic thoughts and quite a good friend, and the progress of characters for 12 episodes Mai, Kyoko, Choco for 12 episodes is very good, I do not know whether you can consider the scene after the credits a hint to continuation, but from me a clean ten, not one episode did not get bored.

Most episodes of this series felt off, like something was missing, and the finale is the perfect example of that.
That is why I've had a theory that the story was intended to be more complex but was toned down for whatever reason.
Despite watching the series with that idea in mind I was never able to figure out with certainty what that original intent was.
Azu's story is probably the most complete one and also what started this train of thought. After that, though, there are too many pieces missing.
Kyōka especially feels like a background character to me. The only things left of her are the creepy DMs and her wanting to be a mayor (for some reason).
Eiko probably had a reason for taking over the shop as well, or a more important role in general.
My guess is that, in the original script, she actually didn't take over the shop and all of what we see at the start happened when she was still an apprentice.
After that, the girls would decide to stop being witches and then the whole of episode 10 would happen, as they realise they were going to lose their memories if they did that, so they would struggle to find the shop again and ultimately forget each other. (That episode always felt like an ending to me.)
The message of the series would be that having a wish granted or using "magic" doesn't solve your problems, you are the only one who can solve them.
I think that would be a great theme to explore, but we unfortunately didn't get to see anything close to that.
That is why I believe you should create whatever you want to create, let your creation out into the world and there will be someone who will appreciate it.
If you try to appeal to the masses you end up crippling your idea, your vision will be lost and the result will be nothing more than... mid.

Usually with these shows I like the story and character and don't really care about the songs but it was the other way around here, I like the songs but I didn't enjoy the show itself that much, hated the first episodes but it certainly got better later on, I liked the way Eiko was handling the store and wishes and being a "proper" witch, best girl was Choco and I guess Eiko, the rest of the girls can go screw themselves.

This was a great wrap up for the anime, Idk if this has a source material or is a original anime but regardless a s2 would be great I just don't really know how that would work. I think each of the girls were very unique and fun and had well thought out personalities, Maybe with the exception of Yuina she was kinda just silly fun compared to the others but not in a bad way.

The development of each of the girls leading up to now is very good, they essentially all managed to accept themselves and are becoming more content I suppose accepting themselves to were they don't even feel that desperate to be witches anymore.

Overall I thought this show was amazing and heavily underrated, the animation was also pretty decent, The cgi wasn't anything special but not bad. In terms of characters Azu was probably my faviorite but their all amazing.

Great show

Low 9/10

the ending was pretty predictable, but it still wrapped things up nicely. What I really appreciated was how each character arc was handled with care even when dealing with heavy themes, everything felt honest and sincere. The show had its confusing moments, like Yuina’s dream fake-out or Kyoka somehow getting elected mayor while still in high school (?!), but none of that ruined the experience. Honestly, it’s that mix of craziness and warmth that made this anime so special. Maebashi Witches ended up being my guilty pleasure though I don’t even feel guilty about it. It doesn’t need more, it was already enough and well done. But if we get a second season, I’m totally in.

Very good ending episode of a very good series!

Aren't the Maebashi witch apprentices cunning vixens?

Team Azu!

I guess a second season will not come. So, godspeed, Azu, Choco, Kyouka, Mai and Yuina!

im so happy i started watching this. i do agree that there were a lot of things that felt rushed, the biggest examples being the whole eiko takeover arc and the kyoka and the vtuber. honestly i felt like kyoka was a bit underdeveloped compared to the rest of the girls but i think given the threshold of 12 episodes might be the reason for that. anyway those are my only complaints, everything else was just fantastic! the characters are great, their motivations and stories are so heartfelt. i wish we could find out who/what keroppe exactly is though.. it was sweet to see that despite being a jerk he has a soft-spot for the girls lol. i always find that trope cute.

(i didnt really care for eiko though. they should have fought her tbh but they're way too nice for that. eiko's so lucky bc whew early season azu would've thrown handsssss)

im gonna miss these girls so much :') they mean so much to me. i really hope they get a second season or maybe a movie! maebashi witches are forevermore!!!! 😭

Kyouka being elected mayor with 100% of the vote while in high school was only in Yuina's dream.

I guess it has its moments, but not many of them. A lot of the early episodes were irritating and the story didn't really go anywhere. It wasn't bad though. 5/10.

As for that VTuber "facing justice", it'd probably just be a short good-behaviour bond or a small fine.

It was kind of a lacklustre finale, not bad but also not great, which kind of sums up the whole show really. It's enjoyable enough just feels like it never really found its footing. At least Mogutan got arrested.

An interesting show based on Artiswitch which had more of a fashion vive a mysterious shop serve those whose wishes have gone unheard,
giving them an opportunity to unlock their hearts' greatest desires. It isn't a deep dive into wishes from witches yet and would love to see more from these folks.

Overall in my top ten although wanted to see the dark side of the magical girl witch.

If you dug this check out the Artistwitch channel on YouTube.

These girls did really good, all five of the Maebashi witches are inexperienced anime VA's, great performances. Must be cool to work with a veteran like Sugita.

Last scene in part B:
“Um... what shop is this?”
Have you gotten a chance to recognize that HANAZAWA Kana portrayed the final visitor?

Despite the drama being set in the actual regional city of Maebashi, I could not feel content about why none of the characters spoke with an accent.

That aside, the show was filled with distinctive and quick-talking gal speak. I wonder if the translators were able to handle it properly, which was a tough task.
