I do not have anything with people who are supporting this community or those who are part of it, this is just their choice of life. But I believe this should not be normal, we were made to build relationships with women (if you are male) and with men (if you are women).

| Im surprised a confession and kiss happened just on second episode. I thought that would drag on longer. Ugh these subs plus that censorship messes with the feeling of scene. Pedo and lolicon dont mean the same thing and only come close because of how recent years the term "pedo" in US has been applied so widely beyond it's original scope of meaning. For subs it usually is better untranslated while dubs can make all sorts of changes for context since you cant hear the original audio. As for comments here on "grooming" I understand the sentiment but it would be more accurate to say what the teacher did with presumably ulterior motive from the very start exploiting Hisashi for his family situation. That would have been no better if he was not a teacher or if he was same age as Hisashi or Hisashi was of age if the teacher was aware of what he was doing which he presumably was. Actual meaning of grooming of the sexual nature how actual psychologists used it is directed at things done to little kids from lack of awareness of physical boundaries and lack of knowledge about sex, it involves intentional deception about larger social norms such as confusing them of meanings of words in order to achieve an ulterior motive. Hisashi was not that naive so it is more a situation of him being between a rock and a hard place and that the company of his shitty boyfriend was preferable to him over being alone which is why he stayed with him for years even though it wasnt a very healthy relationship for him and only broke it off now when he realized he had other options. jotasui said: A lot of other things could've been done to put Hisashi in a tough spot. strange to me that you are watching this and you dont support lgbtq+. you should rethink why you don't support it and research more about it and the personal stories of people in the lgbtq+ community. often, they will face prejudice that heterosexual and cisgender people wouldn't face.

| The BL film gets going, though the prep has quite a lot to be done. And even then, Mao still gets the tingy feelings for Hisashi, which doesn't make the latter all that convincing when the former gets the word that he's been dumped by his boyfriend, needing an avenue to rant his feelings out, which Mao wholly gives it to him, recognizing his feelings for Hisashi. The thing is, Hisashi's been subjected to misunderstandings, yet feeling the attachment of being loved and belonged to someone, that Mao was the only one who made him feel that way. In the same way, despite the promise that he made, Mao is willing to submit to Hisashi, despite having feelings that he thought he wouldn't have. And when the film shooting gets underway, Hisashi isn't feeling it, and Mao just wants to push all the way through. Feelings are important, but the film is even more so. |

But damn, the art makes me feel like they're adults, I forgot they are high schoolers, 16 years old, holy fuck. But it's so cute they both liked each other and I like that the author acknowledged that Hisashi's action may seem like a rebound. No way he just ran off lol. Ending song slaps af. |
| Cmon... im dissapointed 1st how fast stuff happened between tehm? 2nd lack of communication and the ending words of Mao. Also oh my lord how traumatised Hisashi is... poor man, no wonder he felt so comfortable with Mao in dorm, couse Mao actually cared about him somehow, Hisashi didnt even experience familiar or friendship love before it seems. I will keep watch new episodes, but i feel like it was too much information for 2nd episode and i feel theres gonna be more misunderstandings *facepalm laugh* But art stile is so nice and i wonder how they will solve their issues together. Every couple is involved with the film club. Think of it as the three-act structure repeating thrice over the course of the series. I haven't read the manga properly yet for each couple's story (wanna experience that through the anime), but I did check out some... saucy panels out of context and... well, all the tops , is all I have to say. And I think that's beautiful and so rare in BL anime ๐ญ (less so nowadays) I'm buying all the manga volumes as we speak <3 And I second Fabio's recommendations! Given is wonderful and a masterpiece of a romance, it is famous for a reason! Try not to spoil yourself and definitely watch the sub! I watched the trailer after I replied to your comment this morning and eventhough I was surprised by the second couple, I didn’t think of continuing but I will because if you insist it must be worth it. I will tell you abt my thoughts as I watch it then !๐ง๐ฝโ๏ธ

@Slay_rylle  Yeah, ever since Hisashi asked Mao if he was alright after the, y'know, and seemed genuinely concerned about the answer (like his integrity as a man & a top would take a nosedive if the answer was 'no'), I've been all heart eyes, m-f***er! ๐ Granted, that's a pretty low bar, but even if there are tops who care in BL they pretty much never talk about it, and what's been so different about this anime is all the things that it does and shows that in other stories are assumed or left unsaid, if that makes sense? I love that, love that, love that! Sometimes (and especially when it comes to romance & slice of life genres) stories don't need endless dramatic, world-ending conflict to be good! Like for Hisashi, I think this story/arc is about healing. Glad to hear you're into green flags, both Given & Umibe no Étranger are so full of green they are practically meadows XD Might I also recommend the following anime? Doukyuusei, Sasaki and Miyano, No.6, and Yuri!!! on Ice. While the latter two are not strictly categorized as BL, let's just say historians are unlikely to say 'they were such good friends...' ๐ |

So I just started tasogare out focus where I left it (at the beginning of ep4) and yeah ommgggg I see what you mean.
Even in the s€x scene (that was shown in a gentle way), the top genuinely cared abt his boyfriend to have as much as pleasure as him and not feel pressured in any way!
I will watch given and all y’all recommendations after. I’ve decided during these holidays I’ll be extending my BL culture to animes because I’m more used to watching others genres in animes whilst I only watched BLs with actual humans before (I don’t know if I was being clear ๐ญ) .
In all what you added to the recommendations, Yuri!!!on Ice is the only one I know but never watched tho I’ve had the opening in my playlist for so long lol
