I only watch recaps if I haven't watched the show in a long time

I usually only watch recaps if they have original content.

The first two Madoka Magica movies are enhanced recaps with better art/animation, music, and English voice acting than the series, along with some new scenes. I prefer sub for the series and dub for the movies.

Usually no, unless there is new material. And even then it's a hard pass.

I can't be loosing time watching re-caps, when I could be watching another episode of the show.

Or start a new one.
Me every time I hear the word "reparations": 🤣🤣🤣

Nah, I'd watch a retelling in movie form and even then it's a rare occurrence.

Unless they do what Kill la Kill did and jam the entire recap in the bit of time before the opening, with the rest of the episode being new content.

Most cases no, only if I really want to refresh my memory on a show than I will.

Occasionally. Sometimes when I come back to a show I need a recap because I haven't watched it in a long time. This is mainly for normal TV shows though. Recap in anime is typically just filler.

Sometimes it just depends on how long i've been away from the show.

I do because I'm afraid they have mixed in new content into them. I am stern when it comes to watching then even though I hate them.

They're super useful for refreshing my memory on key plot points or character developments, especially when there's a long gap between seasons. Plus, sometimes they include extra insights or a different perspective on events, which can add depth to the story.

Only Gintama recaps because I think only one of them ended up being an actual recap

I watch them very, very rarely, but it's not like I don't watch them at all. It depends on a show and whether watching a recap episode would be good to refresh my memory about the series.

If I paused it for a year, suuure, in most of the cases however what's the point?
