What do you do when you feel like you want to watch an anime but you just don't find anything that is interesting or feel like you have watched all the good anime?

I don't think I'm even close to watching all the good anime but when I can't find an anime I'm interested in at the moment, I just do something else. This doesn't a lot happen to me though, because I make sure to have variety in my entertainment by watching stuff from different genres/eras or other media.

I have ironically never had that problem, though I intentionally never invest too much consistent time in one medium to avoid burn out; read manga/comics, play video/role-playing games, watch film and tv series, etc. "Unplugging" is a good suggestion, whether for the day, weekend or even a week if you don't want to stay away for too long. Its important to also remember why you fell in love with the medium in the first and either go back to those series, find something similar, or find out if the people who worked on it made other stuff.

I waste a bunch of time garbage diving, only to have the time allocated for anime watching to pass by, not having achieved even a little thing the day.

Aside from doing something else, which is an obvious answer: I keep dropping anime until I find something worth watching. I'm also starting to rewatch anime more often, especially if I feel like they might be even better than I remembered (and some of them were indeed).

I want good proper ending. Anime is fun, but are mostly incomplete. So there is indeed less to watch for me. I am trying k and c dramas nowadays because they have endings, but most are not really even half as much enjoyable like anime so far (always poor or lackluster execution). So I might return to anime, but i still feel like i have not explored enough.

Watch cricket. That's basically all I do when I'm not watching anime xD

Although I've been playing more video games recently. I guess I'd do that as well, until I naturally find a new anime to watch.

take a break? you problably are consuming to much media. you don't have to watch anime everyday or even everyweek. there are ebs and flows to everything. likely scenario is you are just watching way to much

Dude you have 27 completed, that's like 0.01% of all anime lol. There's still TONS of good stuff out there you can watch. And even if something "isn't good" you can still watch it, not everything in life is good, so just watch it lol.

27 completed? Burner account detected.

It's best to have interests other than anime so this never happens. I read books, watch movies, play video games, etc.

I read Manga play videogames or try to find an Anime which has a interesting narrative or style. That normally fixes this problem for me. Also if not already done try to watch older anime form 80, 90 etc.

I don't get the feeling that I've watched every "good" anime because theres still new anime coming out constantly, and I don't have nostalgia bias. Also I have no issues watching "bad" anime so long as they aren't dull and boring, so my cup runneth over. The only thing getting in my way is my lack of interest in certain genres.

I find isekai trash entertaining, so I guess I don't have that problem. Good luck with that.
If you reply back to me and I never respond, I lost interest and don't care. Sorry about that.

This has never happened to me. If anything, I feel like there's more good anime than I will ever be able to watch, unless I start watching way more than the few episodes a day I usually do. Especially considering how many new anime come out every year, I don't know how it would be possible to ever watch "all the good anime."

Thats why you keep 2-3 really good shows in reserve. Don't watch them and save them for when you need something epic to watch.

You can always try to watch someone out of your comfort zone. An anime might not be interesting from the synopsis or someone’s description but you might be surprised if you just try it.

I keep trying the first 1-2 episodes of anime from my PTW and priority lists, and dropping them until I find one that seems good.
I've been doing that for a long time now.

I'm not even CLOSE to watching all the "good" animes.  But when I do so I'll probably do something else like playing video games, hanging out with people, and getting more active which I havent been able to do so for the past few months and maybe I'll watch seasonals as well.

I watch a lot of anime but I spend only like 24 minutes a day dedicated for it. Maybe watch one episode per day? Or just browse youtube as that's what I mostly do for entertainment.

There are times when I'm spoiled for choice and I don't feel like wasting time, trying out one or two episodes of several anime, just to find the one I'll enjoy most. In times like that, I take a break for several days and wait for a sudden burst of motivation to hit me. When that happens, I'll be in the mood to either start an anime and complete it, or watch several episodes of different anime, until I figure out what I'm in the mood for.

It's different from your issue, but I'm sure you'll figure out a solution, as I have.

Happens a lot with me too. Sometimes i feel like watching anime but any series i pickup gets boring midway. U cant even switch to other media coz that desire pertains and restricts u to consume something else. Even I dont know what to do at times like these. So cant help ya buddy, sorry :โ -โ (

What I find most annoying is when you look for an anime that actually finishes its story. Even longer titles adapt only like half of the source material. I know this is just how it has to be, but still I am more cautious about my selection than as a beginner.

make a list of anime you haven't seen and assign a number to each of them. Use an RNG to spit out five numbers, and limit your choices to the anime corresponding to those numbers.

it's happened to me a few times, and when it did i'd normally start a few new seasonals which look interesting to me or read manga/manhwa. those normally keep me occupied enough. if those make me bored too then i'd play games or watch some english shows.

Play games like stardew valley & terraria
Watch shows like breakin bad & better call saul
See movies like shawshank & pulp fiction

Hell you can even switch to western animu like tom & jerry
Or you can choose manga or novel books

There is so much shit besides anime. Fuck anime. Anime is trash anyways

There have always been many more anime which I would like to watch or rewatch than I actually have time to watch, so I have never had such a problem.
