This was amazing, full of action combined with is chereography and soundtrack.

Gammamon put up a hell of a fight and episode also shows that Digimons are capable of feeling human emotions.

So... apparently this time they got attacked by a Mole Digimon that's apparently trying to sacrifice Humans for some strange ritual about "Human can't become Digimon" and "Humans will destroy the world"? (which he misunderstood from a movie, LUL)

And he gets smacked by super Gammamon, get rekt'd big-nose-mon.

Interesting way of using Gigasmon...

Paradoxe : They turned him into a paranoid wanna-be savior of Humanity due to a commercial.

Still pretty interesting : The abilities they gave him are- ^^b

Paradoxe : He's just able to melt in the ground, follow the soundwaves, turning people to stone and raise the ground. If not for the plot armor, they'd be burried. -___-

So no one thought to tell Ruli wearing a skirt isn’t a very good clothing choice for spelunking in an unknown cave? Lol From the start I was just waiting for her to scuff her knees or something.

My chest tightened when that one guy had those walls close around him like that. A bit claustrophobic

Hiro came off naive this episode saying humanity wont end as if he thinks it’s impossible and that humanity will exist for all eternity.

Kiyoshiro’s remark to Angoramon at the end made me lul

So, will we see other Digimon spirits in the future? Will they be referred to as Digimon spirits?

I liked the action in this episode though I don't know if this episode was the best in a while or not.

So we're getting Hybrid-type Digimon from Frontier now.

The enemy Digimon's motive for doing BS and how they resolved is getting stupider with each episode imho. They're running out of ideas...

All Spirit Evolutions are classified as Hybrid level. Beast Spirits are somewhere between Champion and Ultimate.

The episode was fine, i'm just getting a bit disappointed that it seems like we won't ever get a proper, continuous storyline. I've completely lost my suspension of belief honestly. :(

Just this feeling that none of the main characters are ever getting into true danger, and that whatever problem there is in the episode is 100% getting resolved by the end of it, ruins my suspension of belief personally.

Do you have this problem with any other anime? I ask because I can point hundreds if not thousands of other anime (much less other forms of serialized media) wherein you can be near certain that the main characters aren't going to die and that the main problem of the episode is going to be resolved by the end of it.

I have to wonder if this episode might be based on one of the unproduced Digimon Adventure 20 episodes. The bonus material included in the BD releases confirmed that the show was planning to have an episode with Gigasmon as an antagonist to round out the set since that show featured the other four B-Hybrid antagonists from Frontier in various other episodes. Speaking of Adventure 20 it is kind of nice that they're willing to call Gigasmon a Hybrid Digimon, in Adventure 20 they did a profile on another Hybrid and they just listed its level as "???"

As for the episode proper, it was pretty good. It's clear Gigasmon just didn't understand what "media" was, but I can't help but wonder if he was accidentally foreshadowing something with his doomsaying. Good use of him and his powers as well, they definitely did him justice as a fighter.

And speaking of foreshadowing, I'm keeping an eye on the psychic girl. It's a long shot, sure, but if she comes back then I think odds are about 5 to 1 she's going to be tapped as Espimon's partner.

I had this issue with the original Digimon Adventure anime regarding the "rotational" segments where it was x person's turn for their digimon to digivolve, as well as the horrendous Digimon Adventure: (2020) reboot series where almost every episode seemed almost completely episodic and it was very obvious everything was going to be alright. This anime, presents something spooky happening, characters we NEVER SEE again outside of meaningless little cameos, other than that one digimon who was deleted earlier on - when the anime was still convincing me btw, still drawing me in.

Because for at least the first 20 or so episodes i was really drawn in. Now it's just been an episode here or there that really sold me. Really suspended my belief. It's just gotten a bit too samey. I hope that things change soon.

And I know if you disagree then that's fine. I love digimon very much. And this anime is actually way, way better than most of the other digimon stuff i have seen. At the start, it seemed like it would succeed Tamers as another amazing entry in the series. But it's sort of cooled down for me and I just pray that, in zatch-bell fashion, it turns things up to 11 and we are excited. That's all.
