| yuri because i don't like women, but i am actually reading a shoujo ai and i'm enjoying it, just sex between girls isn't my thing harem, the exceptons is bakemonogatari if i remember correctly, they are mass produced and full of cliches, i doubt that finding a quality one would actually be easy and i don't have time to waste for that horror because nothing look scary if its an anime, i'm a scaredy cat in everything but gore and jumpscares in anime just come off as laugable, i still couldn't sleep because i saw the spot of a film horror in tv though lol, i actually tried watching shiki but i got bored of it, i will still try the umineku naku koro ni serie becuase i want to read everything in the top 50 manga section idol because i think i would get bored, all female cast isn't really my thing because of how female characters get portrayed in anime usually expecially in high school settings(which is where idol happnes i guess?) i try to avoid high school comedies or romances except if they are shoune ais or things that are i high school but focus on something else like hyouka that focus on various misteries or something like that also martial arts anie, the only exception is holyland because my favourite manga tuber has it in his top 10 favourite manga, the reason is that they usually end up being another shounen with op main characters and ranomd power ups from waht i heard and that doesn't really appeal to me in any way usually i try to avoid dark fantasies with claymore and berserk being the exception because the same youtuber like them a lot with berserk as his number 1 and claymore i don't remember, generally i don't like edgy protagonists and probalby the main hcaratcers in dark fantasies are going to be super edgy and badass which isn't really my thing, i started avoiding them recently, thats why there are some dark fantasies on my list but i doubt i will continue them other than maybe aot. |

| I don't outright avoid any genres in an absolutist sense. Meaning that I will never read the synopsis of any series, be interested in the premise detailed therein, and then check the genre tag list and turn around and say "Oh well, I can't watch it then because it's X or partially X". No, that isn't a way of being I ever entertained. Of course, like everyone, or at least most folks, I have my own defined preferences and least favorite genres, but just as my favorite genres contain plenty of poorly written and abysmal shows and it's my responsibility to sift through it all to find the worthwhile material, the same is true in my less preferred genres. My definite top least favorite genres are Comedy, Sports, Ecchi, Harem, and Hentai. And beyond those, I would say my next level of least favorite in the sense of "Least likely to watch" or "Least likely to find something rewarding which personally speaks to me in" would be some of the genres I don't think of as as major, like Yaoi, Shounen-Ai, Yuri, Shoujo-Ai, Mecha, and Parody. My approach when discovering any series is honestly to read the synopsis first and only afterward looking at the date it was released, genres, length, etc. so as to not allow any of those factors to influence my decision or deter me from embarking on another journey. It's more that relative to my favorite genres, those 11 genres I listed have perhaps the most unfavorable ratio of stories which interest and appeal to me versus those which do not. Maybe instead of 40 or 50% of the series in it being ones I'm interested in watching as in the case of my favorite genres (say, Thriller or Slice of Life) or 25 or 30% in any of the other genres, the ones in my bottom tier of genres would maybe have 10%, 5%, or less to offer. |

| Easily ecchi. 95% of ones I've seen are just awful. Harem to a lesser extent but only if its in ecchi territory or your standard trope of innocent big booby, flat chested angry tsundere, cute loli bait ect.. Shoujo slice of life. Nothing more boring then watching irritating young girls doing boring stuff. |
