I'd say it gets better and better despite being very long, the first 2 episodes are the weakest ones that would feel slow if you're not a 100% into it. If you're feeling mixed about it and don't want to push on, then just try out the manga version then but if you're willing to push on and see if it gets more enjoyable, that's a way to go with too. I did love the episodes from the second half of the series a lot more than the first one, although I really loved episodes 3 and 4 too. 1 and 2 for me are good, but easily weaker than the rest.

Nah you definitely can, manga days are much more skewed since I read plenty of chapters a day and they calculate much faster than the actual amount of time I spend reading chapters. I've just mostly been committed with seeing a ton and reading a ton, and it is what it is.

Zera is practically the villain of the story so I don't really see a problem.

The kiss isn't really that far-fetched.

Did a manga whit robot powered by lychee give you the impression it's trying to be realistic?

Because of the charisma. And because they were pushed too far. The corruption by bewitchement of a charismatic leader is like one of the main themes of the manga.

"The romance between the robot and girl was probably the most unrealistic and appalling thing I have ever seen"
Other than the robot being sentient, why so?

To search for beauty.

"How come the police didn’t do shit even after so many people were killed?"
The Japanese police is useless.

"Why was jaciob obsessed with zera?"
He gay.

"How did a simple club turn into such a dark cult?"
Because charismatic evil became the leader and corrupted the rest of the members.
