Do you guys watch the trailer to an anime to see if it piques your interest or do you just watch as you come across animes randomly?

I checkout the anime trailers, otherwise I have nothing to go on. Sometime, I watch youtubers who give brief synopsis of new shows in a top 10 video. I have zero platforms on social media, other than youtube to go by. Very rare, but my co-workers do give out good recommendation, like Beastar for example. Its a show, I couldn't get into the trailer, but once I give it a chance, the story itself took me for a joy ride!

No... I always watch anime by myself only no trailers, no suggestion.

It's rare for me to watch a trailer. Recently I dont even read the synopsis. Going blind and get surprised is one of the main parts of the experience to me.

I just read the synopsis and look at the genre. If the story seems interesting to me (and there are no Shounen ai/Shoujo ai genre) then i'll watch it. As simple as that.

I never watch trailers for any anime. However if I'm waiting or I am interested in that anime for a long time I watch them like Horimiya and Fumetsu no anate.I mainly watch trailers for anime based movies.

Same. The ost is too catchy that I can't stop watching it even now.I watched it too many times that I don't even need the subtitles to understand.

I'll do watch the trailer for upcoming animés. Sometimes it might be an decider of whenever I would actually watch the show or not. For example: Lapis Relights that aired last summer had gorgeous animations in the trailer so I decided to watch it, while Project Scard that airs now reminded me of Hand Shakers, so I dropped it.

I always research shows on my ptw list when I'm deciding what to watch next and that includes watching the trailers.

A trailer gives you a good sense on what the show looks and feels like and helps me make up my mind on whether to watch it next.

I never watched an anime trailers intentionally. But if it just shows up on my screen and it got my attention, i just watched it and then forget about it a minute later.

Sometimes, but most of the times I come across the anime randomly then read the synopsis to see if it's interesting or not.

I don’t go looking for trailers unless they’re recommended to me. I like reading the synopses, that helps me decide whether I want to watch an anime or not. Kudos to MAL Rewrite for convincing me 99% of the time.

If it's something I'm really excited about and plan to watch while it's airing, I might watch the trailers/PVs, but otherwise I will just read the synopsis.

On occasion. When I'm looking through the new seasonal shows usually I can tell whether or not I'll like it just by the poster, but I'll watch the trailer on mute just to kill time.

I read the synopsis as well as the genres involved. I also like to know the studio but I dont worry about it much just some studios I like so if they are doing it I feel it gets a bit more credibility. I check out the source material and how it is received as well. I dont worry too much about that because they dont always follow the source very well but its a start. The trailer for me mostly just shows me the art, much like movie trailers I dont really trust them to show me much else.

Yeah, I watch trailers if they are available, gives me more idea what to expect. Sometimes anime can look fine on pictures and you can't really tell anything from the synopsis but in the PV there's a godawful voice acting or animation or just more information and I end up losing interest. And vice versa.

Yeah, I subbed to Funimation and Crunchyroll's channels, so I get a good amount of trailers and clips to watch from all kinds of different shows. I find a lot of new shows like that

I will usually watch trailers for recent anime. Older stuff I usually just go by word of mouth or if it stands out in plot or images.

Yes, i view available trailers. It helps me decide if I should watch it or not but that's not always the case. I have my random times too but I mostly resort to trailers since it would show the vibes that the show would presumably present.
