Production is going so badly that there's a hidden cry for help in the ED credits of the latest episode.

As underlined in the above tweet, one of the animators is listed in Japanese as 正直困太, but that’s not really a name. The first two kanji characters, 正直, are actually a regular Japanese vocabulary word, read shojiki and meaning “honestly” or “truly.” The remaining kanji, 困太, aren’t a name either, nor are they a vocabulary word, but combined as they are they’d be pronounced komata, which is just a slight modification of komatta, which means “to be in a difficult situation.” In other words, the credits for My Sister, My Writer’s newest episode contain the message “We’re in serious trouble.” It’s not clear if this is purely a message to viewers, perhaps as a plea for fans’ understanding or forgiveness, or if it’s a pseudonym adopted by an animator who was brought on to pinch hit and get the episode out the door, but in order to do so had to turn in such rough artwork that he didn’t want his real name associated with it. | I can't imagine how bad it is there that they have to send a SOS out in the ed. Probably a little exaggerated, but jeez. Low budget + insane amounts of work is not a good combo by any means. It's a shame really since I'm actually enjoying the show to a degree, despite the bad art and others. (Yeah yeah burn me at the stake for liking an imouto show). Of course there's a super low chance that they're trolling us for whatever reason. |

No one blaming you for watching degenerated anime because watching hentai according to morale should be worst than that. Now to point , 1. Profit, i don't see this anime profitable at all, the production value and advertising is way below average to be profitable, and they might as well go broke trying to air this thing considering all the cost to make and airs it on TV including small Advertisement. 2. Even if it has shit summary, it needs at least watchable, for every anime came out every season only less than 5% of it actually memorable. Then again this was badly foreshadowed by Oreimo and Eromanga which has far better art and animation including all other production value such as Sound(OST/OP/ED), VA etc. 3. Japanese should've realised by now that the industry should've stayed away from getting their ass on cashgrab following the trendy tittle especially for the Low budget anime. This anime is a mistake just like Marchen Madchen. Talk about Imouto stuff, Wasn't Imouto Saraeba li have that one author who's got anime adapted but badly adapted and get shitted on or laughing stocks? Now imagine it tothe same author that currently working in the Novel. Must've been a bad day. |

From what I've heard, pre-orders for this show are above average, so that's something. 2. Production value does not result in a better/better selling show. Take KyoAni's Nichijou from a few years back. Like all of their shows, it was very well made and this show in particular is considered pretty good. That said, it completely flopped in Japan. Compare that to something like Kemono Friends which was undeniably far below-average in the budget department, but was an instant hit anyway. It usually comes down to being entertaining or fulfilling to one's wants. Hence why Eromanga Sensei was a success. 3. In Japan, they are much more forgiving of what we would consider "trashy" anime. What we consider good is fairly different from what they consider good. In the end, I could see this show being a financial success. I can tell you it will do better than Seven Senses of the Re'Union, a show from last season, which set the record for worst-selling Vol. 1 Blu-Ray sales (50-something if I remember correctly). That show was a just a generic isekai but flopped completely. |

I mean, it's okay to force it if they have interesting story (Like what happen to 3D kanojo, some drop graphic but the story saved it), while this one is just have generic incest story. Marchen Madchen will get its last 2 episodes though...checks original air time "2018 Jan"...shieeet, they needed almost a year but it will happen in 2019 Jan XD. The worst thing about "trash" is that the chance of being able to finish it is not even 100% since it might not even actually get finished, denying you the satisfaction of suffering through it all. |

Anime like this should start to fail one after the other. I don't think it's particularly healthy in the business sense that it's near impossible for a bad anime to get axed. I'm not someone who says that current anime is fundamentally worse than it used to be in "the golden age", but the past few seasons were pretty pathetic and this one seems to be the worst by far. |

Then there's also Beatless, after seeing how amazing the LN design and some absurd cut for only the last 4 episode something does seems wrong on the first 24 episode adaptation. |
