I think Rokuro is trying to bear too much responsibility himself this arc. Especially the way he's trying to overcome innumerable odds...

Mayura is still trying to help out as usual. What a kind girl.
Expecting another big fight coming soon and it'll probably be a nasty one.

Another boring, plodding episode. Benio announces her feelings while Rokuro pretends not to hear and acts cruelly towards her for what he thinks is her own good. There, I just saved you 20 minutes. So we got 6 episodes left, guess fighting Yuto will take all of them.

Oh, and poor best-girl Mayura, reduced to cheerleader.

this was a pretty exciting episode through the end, Rokuro sure was Savage AF, but I understand him, it wasn't the best way, but looks like he is going all in and he doesn't want her to suffer the same thing all over again

I wonder how the hell does Rokuro expect to fight Yuuto. He already knows that he's incomparably stronger than him.
The only way that comes to mind would be him purposefully letting his kegare side take over, kill Yuuto this way and then have Arima execute him. If that's the plan, then I'm 100% sure it's not going to go that way.
I predict something more along the lines of: He tries that, fights Yuuto to a standstill, Benio or someone else arrives, appeals to his humanity, he turns back and they *somehow* defeat Yuuto together.
And then, in the very last episode we finally get that confession.
In other words: BOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!

Is it odd that I have absolutely no faith that this is going to end in an interesting way?

My prediction
He goes full kegare mode
Benio somehow fines out and goes to the fight and see rokuro in full kegare mode and cry
Rokuro feels Benio pain and revert back
Together they beat yuuto with some magical power boost
But what up with the basara haven't seen them in action for a while I have a feeling Kumai might appear

Rokuro didn't want to see Benio to get hurt again, so he's going to face Yuto alone. Benio said her feelings for him, but he probably didn't hear it. Mayura trying to help out is not going well.

Now that is a "better-to-watch" awkward moment, and it's been a while too. Between Rokuro and Benio. But after that, what really got into my nerves. How can Rokuro fight as as a "Twinstar Exorcist" if he's all alone? OH COME ON.

Also, last week they revealed the origins of the Abe no Seimei and Guardians, and when I compared it with the one mentioned in the manga, I saw they were the same, and makes sense(except for Rokuro being Cataclysm King, although that could be a possibility, but still), and I think the introduction of the Guardians was better here than in the manga, where you don´t get an idea of their characters, only their powers(except for Tenma, but that intro was also good), so that´s why I say manga fans are more of a scum crybabies when it comes to adaptations, they don´t understand what an adaptation should be(it shouldn´t always be faithful to the source material). Yeah, the anime is mediocre, but at least it has some redeemable qualities, and if you read it as a complement to the manga, it´s fine too. It´s not the trash of Tokyo Ghoul, which was bad in source to begin with

Basically, Rokuro is gonna revert into an inhuman entity to fight and hopefully defeat Yuto. However, he isn't strong enough to do this on his own. Then again, the Twelve Guardians are gone. Arima doesn't have any power left in him. But...

What about Tsuchimikado Mikage? I am pretty sure that's the real Abe no Seimei who is possibly stronger than the Head Exorcist. He isn't going to help? Something is fishy...

I love how Rokuro (the anime) always act so strong and mighty and then gets his ass woped. Of course he's bound to unleash his special mc power in this last fight and will come out victorious! Oh and don't forget that Benio will assist him in someway or make him come back to his senses at the end.

The anime adaptation has honestly been very dissapointing. I recommend y'all to read the manga as it's actually great!

Now we'll have to see how they patch this little argument up during the fight mostly. Seems now it'll be slightly rushed with only 6 episodes. Still, a nice and socially dramatic, violence building up episode.

when finally benio admits she loves rokuro , rokuro turns her down by stopping to fight with her anymore even saying she is in his way ... I think rokuro didnt know what to do in this situation and the only idea he came up with is to fight yuto alone and didn't bring benio coz he don't want to see her die or tortured by yuto or else if he turns into a kegare he might kill benio lools ..

Please it just like any romance anime. Rokuro will become a monster, benio will save him and they both say they love each. They kiss then they get married had the miko and the world is save . It is just like every romance anime so there is nothing new it is same old same old.

so you are speculating the possibility of another series? With the rate this is dragging (HORRIBLY) you may be right but I somehow doubt it. I have no faith in studio pierrot. They canceled Bleach, never forget... which means Twin Star Exorcists could just as well end in tragedy.

Tragedy -
1) We only see a kiss scene and the miko idea is non-existent
2) anime is going too original anyways, how would they possibly include the manga scenes that go right after the time skip after a long arc of episodes that is in the end, "filler"? (anime original at this point, Soul Eater number 2 much?!)
3) Horribly rushed last 5 episodes like all horrible studios like to do. Cram all the timeskips at the end then cram the rest of the storyline somehow into the last 5. It makes no sense.
Honestly it seems like there were intense budget cuts or something because of that scene at 8:46 with the crappy running, the "crush a blooming romance in 1 minute that took 44 episodes to build," AND NOT TO MENTION Rokuro. He is now the only important character, with Benio now completely useless to the story line now. It's like she became Sakura Haruno... absolutely no significant or special traits because any female character can basically take her place now.

I am in high doubts.

This is one of the most deppressing episode ever.
ROKURO. Man up and think wisely. Sure you may be a kegare and the king of catalysm and all, but you have proofed that kegare could have feelings like human. Just hear that pink haired basara.
BENIO. Girl... speak up your mind clearly.
Above that, it is pretty interesting but nothing special.

Well, if you wanna tell me that I don't read the manga, which I do, and even there this same situation is happening. As of chapter 38, Benio has no powers whatsoever. Even if she recovers them(which I'm sure it's going to happen), she is gonna be sidelined in the same way the manga has done it since chapter 1. I want people to be more open minded with the term adaptation(which means it doesn't have to be a faithful recreation of the source material to be good, like FMA), but you always ruin the fun for someone else because thing like these. Read since chapter 1 and you'll notice the situation. Even a reviewer of the manga in the site AdventuresInPoorTaste hates when Benio is shown to be a powerful exorcist, only to be sidelined for The Rokuro Show

Good emotional episode for this anime, the first 10 minutes isn't necessary, but the last 10minutes was worth watching. The opening song is still awesome, the ending song not so much.

I legit hope Rokuro dies in the end, so that this series of 50 episodes can have at least one memorable thing other than ops and eds.

Also I found a certain scene pretty funny. Where Mayura and benio were standing in front of a destroyed shop, and ask "Oh you're closing down?" Well no shit, the shop is destroyed -,-

Pretty good episode

The revelation last week though was pretty surprising
Whats more was that Yuto is still intent on provoking Rokuro though
Benio recovering from her injuries and them not being lasting

Though it looks like Benio is now wary of Rokuro after the revelation though. This is the first major crisis in their relationship it seems still Its nice seeing Kinako try his best to cheer Benio up though his pose was pretty funny.
Considering the revelation its no wonder that Benio is still bothered by it but at the same time its nice to see Benio actually wants to listen to Rokuro and try and help him rather than be afraid of him that some people would do. Though Rokuro probably won't be the same.

The revelation did create some interesting questions about Kagare though. If Rokuro was a Kagare then can other kagare be good as well. But for the most part this episode focuses on the rebuilding of the bonds that Benio and Rokuro had and how they deal with the revelations that has happened.
Its sad seeing the town being so devastated though but im glad that most of the people seemed to be safe. Its nice seeing the branch members work so hard to help the people though. Rokuro's determination to protect the town was nice to see as was seeing Kinako turning into a wheelchair for Benio

The relationship between Rokuro and Benio will unfortunately change after this though and seeing him avoid Benio is unfortunately the first step. This rift between them would take some time to heal which is even more tragic that before they were ready to confess to each other as well. Damm you Yuto. But it looks like both would need time to deal with the events first i guess. Still its a shame that he wasn't able to give her the gift that he bought her. Its impressive on how much they were able to rebuild though. But humanity has always been able to come together in times of crisis. The fact that Rokuro conferred his fears and worries to Arima was to be expected though. And he is right in that Yuto has become way too strong. Its nice seeing Benio be so considerate towards Rokuro though. And Mayura work so hard to help them as well. Mayura does care a great deal about Benio and Rokuro and their relationship though and its nice seeing her be so blunt in asking directly. Otherwise this state of affairs would continue.

Mayura being Rokuro's childhood friend would see any changes that he has quite easily though. Still watching Mayura's guesses and ideas though was funny. Still i guess it will be hard to tell Mayura the truth though. Still Mayura is right to be worried though as both are not children anymore. Too bad that Benios favorite sweet shop was closed though but looking at the damage its inevitable i guess. But not everything can return to normal after such an event though which applies to relationships and buildings as well. Still its nice that see that some areas of the town remain the same though like the area where Rokuro and Benio meet. Seeing Benio remember the bonds that she and Rokuro has forged though was nice to see.

So Benio wants to reforge the bonds that she had with Rokuro as soon as possible then but still its too soon for her to train given her injuries. But Benio knows Rokuro well enough to know that he would fight against Yuto once more and seeing Benio's wish to fight alongside him is nice to see. And its nice to see Benio finally voice her true feelings for Rokuro though. Benio's funny when she's denying it though. Mayura hiding behind the wall to listen though is just like her though.

Hmm the fact that Rokuro wanted to breakup the duo was surprising
But given that he wanted to protect her from not just Yuto but also his true self its to be expected i guess. Still Rokuro's way of discouraging Benio was a bit harsh though. To think that their relationship will deteriorate to such a level though. It must be painful for both of them though. Given such a shock Benio fainting is to be expected. Splitting the duo. Looks like the final battle between Yuto and Rokuro is among us then. So Rokuro's request to Arima was to kill him if he loses eh. Still if anything i think that Rokuro is trying to bear way too much responsibility on himself though. I get that he's trying to protect Benio but still its too much.

Well I'm really not a fan in the way the anime has turned out tbh. It's going the cliché route, and despite the fact that I don't really mind cliché, and it's weird because I normally don't mind clichés. So Rokuro tells Benio off because he thinks it's for her own good, then later on he's gonna realize that it wasn't the right thing to do etc etc. How boring. So now, we'll probably see Benio join in on the Rokuro and Ijika fight in the middle of it, and she'll probably do her best to bear some (if not half) of the responsibility that Rokuro is trying to bear all on his own, when it wasn't all his own to bear in the first place. I mean yeah I guess you could view this trial as "necessary" for growth in their relationship, but it's still not that fun to watch. And I don't mean to be one of those people who always claim how the manga is better than the anime, but regardless, I'm just not really feelin' all these filler arcs.

Well, if the objective is to defeat Yuuto, is not needed Rokuro to go alone, he could go with Benio, Seigen, Mayura, Arima, I don't know if Mikage is still around there. They could even convince a basara like Kamui to join them; and they have such intelligent characters around them that could counter Yuuto's plans.

My point is, there is a big chance to get it. In the other hand, how could a kid get that strong and smart, I mean, even before the absorption of Abe no Seimei, he was very difficult to catch.

I know this is a few years late but I'm currently watching the show and I'm extremely frustrated like why do they always do this for what.... Give the girl a break and now Rokuro pulls this bull to 'protect her' I don't care that was not the way and I hope he pays for that before she can even think of forgiving him this has been dragging too long and I'm terribly sorry to fans who enjoy this show I really just can't hold it anymore.. That's some timing eh? Benio confess, Roku breaks up... what? LOL...
