I just want to compare how everyone organizes their anime watching. Since I only started watching it last Christmas, I though anime was a small area so I didn't want to watch them too quickly so I ended up saving every anime I could until this summer holiday, where I colour coded them based on how much I liked the preview/ episode 1 and planned to watch them all in 4 weeks, although I still have 5 left 9 weeks after the holiday ended. :L. Since then I am, planning to do it again in the 2016 holiday aswell.

So, are any of you as OCD on this as I am, do you watch it whenever you are free, or maybe both?

Steps 1: Refresh MAL.
Note: When tired please proceed to step 2.
Step 2: Watch something.

I download.

I usually separate by series, label each episode with double or triple digits (depending on series)

Nope. I hate MPC - it fucks up my subtitles and I can't watch on faster speed without messing up the pitch.
Plus, it looks ugly.

I think OP means how you organize your downloads and how you plan to watch them.

Casual. this is what a true anime folder looks like:

MPC is the only good way to watch a show with external subtitles and audio.
I don't know why do you care how it looks, when you can't see it in full screen.

I'm pretty organized and MAL helps me keep it that way with both my anime watching and manga reading. I watch the anime on my days off and holidays and whenever I have time at home, then add it when I finish it to my list to keep myself from getting all mixed up.
I never download anything but the music if I liked it (NOT ILLEGALLY) and I watch them on crunchy-roll just because it feels safer and more convenient. I have never purchased an anime but I'd like to..

I disagree. I can see the subtitles in full screen all the time and MPC always makes the subtitles an ugly font. Yes, I've tried changing it but have had no luck. Probably my encoded files' issue.

I had no issues adjusting subtitles to the way I like their appearance, probably just you.

But I watch a lot of shows with a faster speed (1.5x typically). MPC can't do it without further extensions.

Mayuka plz, why would anyone watch 1.5x and try to enjoy the show at the same time?
As if it is hard to download new extensions..

Whoa.

I just watch about 2-3 anime at a time. I tend to watch in 2-episode streaks, and focus more on the anime that's easier to watch. Anime that's not friendly to binge-watch I watch slower.

I don't want to pile on my to-watch list or else I'll lose track. It's important to me to be able to review it when I'm done.

Because it makes a lot of shows more enjoyable than they were originally.

And I haven't managed to find a good extension that works. I've tried. VLC is bae after all, so there is no need.

I use MAL to track what I'm watching and prioritize what I plan to watch. My BDs are placed in alphabetical order on a shelf, and my BD rips are stored on a 1TB harddrive in two folders: series and movies. I rename the folders so they're simple (ex. 'Brother, Dear Brother'), and leave the filenames unchanged. I usually watch 1 to 2 episodes a day. I watch airing shows on the day they air, and non-airing shows whenever I'm in the mood to watch them. Right now I have 10 titles in my watching list.

I have a very tight schedule at times, so I like to plan my anime out. I only really watch one at a time, and it is only until I have watched all of the ones in my current cycle that I decide to add it to MyAnimeList.

As some people might know from my profile, I have kept most of my anime on an Excel spreadsheet over the years. I color code and document which anime I want to watch within a given month, either with friends or on my own, and then segment off time during specific periods of the day when I have breaks to get it done.

i stay mainly in the 12-13 to 20-26 episode aisle. if it's the first, i look at 2 a day. if it's the other, i look at 4 a day.

that's about it.

EDIT: oh and i never let my list get above 6 anime to avoid the notoriously long otaku list. to purposefully make sure i don't bump into anime that i may want to add, i won't visit any anime sites and keep away from my magazines.

I try to watch anime everyday. I pick something on my list of 3-6 series and watch until either I don't feel like it anymore or I wanna take a nap/go to to sleep. It's probably more fun to watch what you want when you want rather than making a tight schedule.

Not as organized as you, OP. I do try to make sure to watch the same amount of episodes every day (usually 14). And at the end of ever season is marathon time, to finish everything before the next season starts.
