Holy shit~

That was a clever move by Giorno yet again. He broke trust but for his own worth. And now that he is a member of the gang, I can't wait to see what else he will be doing.

Not gonna lie, that was one of the coolest revenge kills ever imo. Goddamn Gio did that casually and like a true badass, THAT is a real JoJo for sure!

Seeing that Black Sabbath had another arrow in its mouth when Polpo did himself in, I wonder if he has an unlimited number of Stand Arrows that replenishes whenever it respawns.

Polpo's "suicide" by banana was more gruesome here since I was able to look at the finer details for a longer period of time. The brain matter splattered on the walls...bleugh.

If you are a good person, even showing hesitation or concern, you may be spared, if you are an innocent, you will be kept out of harm's way to the best of his ability, but if you are malicious, you will get your brains smeared over the wall in the name of protecting the weak, huh? Again, strict principles and compassion like Jonathan, but the cunning ruthlessness of Dio. Beautiful and very gangster!

This chapter further evokes two thematic questions.

The first is one that I have to imagine will be explored through villains and heroes. Dreams, and what justifies them. In this one chapter, Giorno reflected on the death he caused by proxy with regret in the name of his dream, but then shamelessly caused death directly also in the name of his dream. I wouldn't be surprised if the head of Passione is doing everything with a dream in mind as well. Further, even if Giorno sticks to his principles, at some point the innocent body count caused by him will pile up and he will have to face the fact that if he doesn't accomplish the dream, it will have all been for naught. Something which can push someone to prioritize the end and abandon principle; potentially something the major villain has done?

The other thematic question is one of trust. Polpo said on numerous counts that trust is the most important thing. Something that, if insulted, even god would permit murder. Now, if you recall, Giorno's backstory also followed the concept of trust. "Giorno learned the importance of trusting people, something he should have learned from his parents, from the silence of a complete stranger". Being in a world where politicians and police don't protect the weak, only a gangster in his case, Giorno seems to want to give others trust in him protecting them. Polpo's trust is certainly not the same brand as Giorno's though.

Phew, glad he got rid of that glutton. But honestly, isn’t it suspicious for Giorno? He was the last one in contact with him. Anyway, I think Polpo was probably the weirdest JoJo character so far, lol.
