Eiyuuou, Bu wo Kiwameru Tame Tenseisu: Soshite, Sekai Saikyou no Minarai Kishi♀

It’s always a bitter sweet moment saying goodbye to your favourite anime in a given season. Now that it’s over, I have nothing but positive things to say about Auo. I will remember this show very fondly and miss it a lot.

Three things make Auo stand out for me among reincarnation/fantasy shows I’ve seen in the past. One, the gender swap gimmick with Inglis originally being an old man and reincarnating as a hot waifu. For two, Inglis’ love of fighting strong opponents. She’s very much a meathead in the same vein as Goku, but way smarter and cuter obviously. Lastly, I love MCs ... that want to do their own thing rather than saving the world or defeating demon lords etc. Inglis’ main goal is to live a lowkey life as her cousin’s squire. Because of her lack of a magic crest, she is often looked down on by this classist society. Of course, in traditional fantasy fashion, even though she doesn’t have a magic crest she is still OP which makes for some great moments in the show. Seeing the look on peoples’ faces after underestimating her only to get the worst beat down of their lives was great.After seeing the consequences of her decisions in her past life as king, she wants to avoid a repeat of those mistakes. This led some people to call her a bad MC and call out the writing, when in reality her actions and laissez-faire attitude towards certain events are extremely consistent with who she is and what the author establishes from episode 1. She’s not your typical MC and that’s why I love her.

The world building in the show is actually really good, but it seems like they just ran out of time to answer everything. I’d also imagine that’s the same in the LN since you have to have something to keep people coming back to the story. But in anime form it was a little frustrating because of how interesting the world they set up was, only for it to not be expanded on more. The kingdom that Inglis ruled in the past is substantially different from that of today. Why and how that happened is one of the central mysteries of the story that we didn’t really see explained which was disappointing. Some other mysteries were teased as well that never got expanded upon, but again I’m sure that’s just an issue with the limited run. This didn’t really affect my enjoyment of the story at all though, I was here for Inglis and her cousin Rani and they delivered as a dynamic duo consistently so no complaints from me.

One area where the show is definitely lacking is animation. I believe it’s a smaller studio, so that is probably down to budgetary and staffing issues, but many action scenes were quite bad. For a show about a battle junkie, you can see how that would be an issue. The art style is quite different, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like it. I saw a few people describe it as Hentai-esque, I wouldn’t go that far, but it definitely has a unique look to it that some people may not like. I personally loved it. Pacing is great, haven’t read much of the LN yet to comment on if they skipped a lot or not, but from an anime only perspective I was never bored, nor did I feel rushed in any points.

Auo was pretty easily my anime of the season. After a couple of shows came out hot and then fell off, this one just stayed consistent for me. Inglis earned her way into my top waifus and I even purchased the digital LN for this because there are no physicals, which I never do since I hate digital. If that’s not a testament to how good this show was for me, I don’t know what is.

Auo gets a very easy 10 out of 10.

If you're looking at this, and thinking it looks a little familiar, as if the idea of an older person becoming a young girl has spun itself here again. But the key difference here is, while that show tanked, this show is worth the watch. As if those knew what they were doing, and knew how to make a proper interesting set up and world. So let me explain more about it.

Story and characters: 7
What I really like about the story, is the more build ups, and fun side of things. While sure, I wish things weren't so rushed, or feels like such in ... parts. But seeing characters grow and develop is a wonderful thing. Mainly those you actually like for that matter. But a lot of the story is built on who Inglis is. I say that, as it's her tale and story, as lot to over come. Having a strong and fun lead as her, will drive the show forward.The sort of character that is fun, open, adventurous, but also realistic to boot. If there is one reason to enjoy and want to watch this anime, it's because of her, and wanting to see her development and growth.

Reincarnation stories if done well, can be a big hit. A build up of a hero-king on his deathbed, only wishing to be reborn, not selfishly mind you, and he's done such in the future of his kingdom, but now as a girl! Interesting development for sure. Mentioning the build ups, as it's done real good here. As they could've just throw you into them just sorting out potential issues, and that'd be it. But with how it's done, and not jumping right into that, it adds more curiousness about it. So we want more, we want these issues to face justice. Not to mention the twists that it's presenting. Which will only add more to the story.

She isn't the only strong character however. You've got her bestie who she grew up with, and is just as much of a darling as she is. Maybe a little less wild, but Rafinha is definitely a character to love. I'm sure we'll meet many more to either love and hate as well.

Art and sound: 7
The only thing that does worry me in this area, is more that how the monsters will come across. It's why I referenced that previous old dude becomes a girl before. They do have a striking resemblance to how they did it. Which if done right, won't be a total hassle. Other than that, the art has really been stella. With how it's animated, and how it sounds. You can tell there is a lot of care and fun gone into it. You know it's going to be a good product, when both of those elements are pushed into it. To talk more on the style too, it really seems they went with a darker palette for the show, like it's more darker than a normal anime, and I do find that a nice touch.

While this trend may come off as weird at best, but this one is done right, and I'm sure the interest will only keep on going. I'd watch it.

Isekai/fantasy plots are becoming more typical, but haphazard, because for every one copy that came out in the AniManga space, another one is ready to take its place. And set pieces, especially ones that take the tropes to a whole new level, there're many that tries to follow the trend to variable degrees of mediocrity, such is the case with novelist Hayaken's Eiyuu-ou, Bu wo Kiwameru Tame Tenseisu: Soshite, Sekai Saikyou no Minarai Kishi♀ a.k.a Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire ♀.

Just in case you'd forget due to STM or something, we've actually seen a show like this before: last Winter's ... Kenja no Deshi wo Nanoru Kenja a.k.a She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man, which has an old man who is the strongest of his own world, through some form of means, shrink down to their youthful self, with the strange caveat that it's the "magical sex shift" trope of being a girl to do whatever the heck he feels like doing, now in a new skin of a girl. It's the same for this story, where lies the Hero-King Inglis in the Kingdom of Silvare, reaching the top of his calibre establishing his kingdom, with the only regret that he didn't achieved to be a master swordsman. Lying on his bed and ready for the natural death, with the one final wish from the goddess of the land to fulfill, and there goes the typical reincarnation phase of King Inglis, into a young woman (at the behest of the goddess), known as Inglis Eucus, ready to be Reborn to Master the Blade.

The transformation from the Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire♀, Inglis, better known by her nickname as Chris, finds that other than retaining parts of her previous life, like liking only women and seeing her friends as grandchildren, the magic case use is somewhat different as well: in her old world, magic exists in the form of Aether, but in the reincarnated world, humanity has lost its meaning to use magic, so much so that the replacement for it is in the form of Runes that allow the use of magical Artifacts to fight the commonplace monsters of magicite beasts, formed by Prism powder falling on them. Together with her maternal cousin Rafinha "Rani" Bilford, the world is explored at large where even the typical "nobles vs. commoners" formula is referenced by people who live on the Surface (a.k.a Earth), as opposed to people living in the Highlands: a floating island where the rich lives in nobility from the tributes and supplies it gets from down below, to offer Artifacts to the kingdoms in return. Yelp, please bear with me...because it gets even more confusing than this.

If you thought that what I've mentioned so far is tolerable enough, this next bit will make you question more: there exists special people who can turn into Artifacts, and they're recognized as the Hyral Menas. These people are treated more specially because of their temperamental uniqueness, and such prominent people are the beast girls Eris and Ripple, who can use her powers to summon magicite beasts. But there is one such magical beast that is the strongest: the Prismer, which can only be taken down by Holy Knights with a special type of Rune and wielding the Hyral Menas. They are a rare bunch and are treated as valuable assets, as such with Rani's older brother-cum-Chris's cousin Rafael. And this is on top of the usual "good vs. evil" conflict factions of the Highlanders and the anti-group that is the Bloodchain Brigade, the Knight Academy that sees both Inglis and Rani meet people like Leone Olfa, with the vendetta of getting back at her brother Leon for joining the Bloodchain Brigade as a sign of betrayal and getting shunned by the general public, to redeem her family's honour, to Liselotte Arcia joining for the ride, for she can grow angel wings and fly. Oh dear Lord, is this a case of a work that's too overly designed and complicated for its own good...

I have no issues with how Inglis does her job in the new reincarnated world, but more so that her magic itself is played like a parody-sue OP for comedic purposes, using her Aether in a world where even with Runes, only those who had the semblance of the past magic will use it to their full advantage, since the world at that point hasn't experienced magic like Inglis's before. Rather than become yet another noble, her mission in her reincarnation stage is to be an extraordinary squire (hence the series's name), and so that's her train of thought when she enrolls to the typical magic academy to become Rani's squire, to fight against strong humans and monsters alike. Inglis is "Runeless", because that's a choice she makes, because her Aether power is something that must not be known nor found out, for it'll bend the rules of magic that'll benign the potential destruction of the world. And then there's her cousin Rani, which like a leech, feeds off her cousin's extravagance, which isn't a bad thing per se...but on the level of being obnoxious and showcasing too much is the breaking point for me, going closer to Yuri territory when in fact despite Inglis's love for girls, this show need not point out that fact as emphasized as it should be. The sister and cousin's companions Leone and Liselotte... are frankly quite typical and nothing special if you want that "harem" style, even in a girls' troupe. Same likewise with the Hyral Menas, though they are at least of interest...mild ones to be exact.

The last notable show produced from famed Initial D studio Studio Comet was the sci-fi "ode to 1970s" Chougattai Majutsu Robo Ginguiser parody series RobiHachi all the way back in Spring 2019, and I really kinda liked that show on an on-and-off basis of it being a decent fun time. Other than the Ikemen series Fairy Ranmaru (which frankly I barr this show with absolute hatred), this is a return to form for the studio 2 years later after said series being its first Isekai/fantasy produced show, and this is where I really have to give credit where credit is due: the studio's production on this show is...dare I say, spectacular at times, though I feel that like the original source material being complicated, the visuals can be very inconsistent, with certain sections being very striking (e.g. in the case for outlining Inglis's boobalicious young woman's body) and some others just being sorta a weird 2D background mish-mash of sorts. Nah, it's too overly designed and heavily focused on the fanservice too at times. And this is one of those times where too much can never be a good thing.

One weird choice I find is with the music, especially the OP. I kinda like the song that was sung by AUO feat. Win Morisaki, it's no doubt a good one outside of the show, but when in context, it...just doesn't quite mesh together...? Many a times I keep questioning whether the song and the show's thematics were one and the same at the very beginning, but overtime, I just got used to it, and it came out decent. For Yui Nishio, this is her 2nd Anisong since Fall 2021's Shin no Nakama's OP debut (which still to this day, "Beautiful Day" is such a nice and soothing debut of an Anisong), and her ED song "Self-Hug Big Love" follows that exact calm, yet slow upbeat trend of hers, into a song all on its own. It's also good.

Isekai trash can still be fun, it depends on the context. But when shows like this has too much infodump that leaves you wondering how both the anime and its source material glances that and never looks back into simple explanation, the show will lose its audience retainership fast. And to befit the curse even further, this Isekai/fantasy show is also nothing special, but of an OP power fantasy that knows how to parody itself too much that it becomes boring quickly. Damn, what a shame that the original source material is trying to be too many things all at once and has no cohesive plot that's more than enough for the audience to shun this like the plague that it is.

I can only recommend this if you allow yourself to be dumbfounded by infodump that doesn't take itself seriously, and of everything else being a parody that at the end of the day, leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Yuck, this Isekai/fantasy show is intolerable.

Don't judge a book by it's cover or half of the season. This show is not just disgusting waifu bait. Let me tell you why!

This is not an anime about an old man reincarnating as a girl so the series can sell better to minor attracted people, but a series where we learn about the inspiring story of a female squire which, because of something called sexual dimorphism, is weaker than the male squires and knights, but through perseverance, hard work and her unmatched perspicacity coupled with her sheer indefatigability manages to become the strongest by greatly improving her skill and technique, power that she ... then uses to make the world a better place and make everyone happy, definitely. This series was not made so morally bankrupt people can watch a 12-year old girl with a definitely realistic body talk about her chest and then time skip to a magic academy with predominantly underage female students with oversexualized bodies that wear as little clothing as possible. This show does not include minors groping each other while completely naked.

The main characters have a lot of personality and goals. The most interesting part about their very-existent personalities is that they are gluttonous because haha eat a lot of food funni laugh 2023 humor and our main girl also likes to fight because that trope isn't overdone to death and you wouldn't want a non meaningful and deep personality or goal anyway. The supporting cast is great as well! We have a Rani's older brother who is not a sister fucker from sweet home Alabama, a little fairy that doesn't like touching realistic big breasts of underage girls, a cat girl (or I think she was I don't remember) and a non one-dimensional character that is bad for the sake of being bad.

Another thing I love about this show is that it doesn't discriminate based on gender. The irredeemable bad guys aren't always the male characters while the good and righteous characters are only female. Male characters aren't generally portrayed as being evil while the female characters are generally portrayed as good, smart, talented and beautiful. Something I really appreciate is that at the knight academy the author makes sure makes sure that both male and female characters are portrayed as being roughly close in talent and skill and both receive the chance to show off what they are made of!

This is a very good show with a lot of depth and character I recommend you watch it asap!

(If you can't tell I'm joking this show is godawful and revolting)

Summary
This season had its fill of Isekai anime, and I will add this one to that pile. Yes, I can already hear you saying; "but this isn't an actual Isekai."

Sure, you may technically be correct, but for all practical purposes, it follows the same general line of story and plot beats, so it may as well be one.

The old king dies after a long and honorable life building up his nation and making it prosperous for his subjects. As he dies he gets a favor from the goddess for a life well lived, and onto his next life he goes. Or rather, onto the next ... life she goes. Not sure why they made the MC into a female in the next life, as I do not think it has served much of a purpose in this first season, but sure, alright then.

Yes, there are some callbacks to how perspectives are different now that he is a pretty girl vs previously being a man, but nothing much of anything is done with this potentially interesting plot point throughout the first season.

Another apt thing to mention is that while this show is named "reborn to master the blade", our MC does practically nothing of the sort in this first season. She uses a blade perhaps once or twice, but otherwise, she just shoots laser beams and beats the shit out of her opponents using her brute strength alone.

I can only assume and hope that in a potential second season, we may actually see her master a blade of some sort, hah.

Characters
We get introduced to our MC and main supporting character from the get-go, before getting a small group of additional supporting ones introduced over the next half-season.

I personally never really cared much for most of the characters in this first season outside Inglis. Her battle-addict personality and the humor around that kept me engaged enough and entertained me enough to the point that I thought, okay, sure, she isn't terrible.

To a smaller extent, I would say the interplay between her and Rani was also fine, and a slightly positive note in the season. Outside these two though, none of the other characters I cared for in any way whatsoever. I don't feel we get to know them well, I don't feel we explore much with them, and they barely exist for certain story purposes, if any at all.

While Inglis and her whole shtick is fine enough, and while it fulfills my power-fantasy appetite, everything else could have used a lot more work to try to pull me in.

Plot
So the plot is nothing too complex either. Inglis is reborn and all she wants is to master her skills and the blade, while staying out of politics and everything of the like, as she was so saddled to death with in her prior life.

She does nevertheless get involved in some things throughout the season, as is only to be expected I suppose.

The main driver for the plot seems to be whatever Inglis gets herself involved in for the sake of being able to battle strong opponents and improve her skills, with some random events sprinkled on top.

I do not expect much from this sort of Fantasy Isekai anime, but I would have liked a more fleshed-out world and a deeper story as a whole. Or at the very least more of a hint toward that.

I will be fine watching a second season of Inglis kicking ass though, as I am sure many of you also will.

Summary
Everything in this anime seems average at best, with good reason.

- The animation style is fine
- The combat scenes are lackluster
- The characters are average at best, with many being barely more than NPCs
- The plot is far from deep, nor clever, or especially engaging, it's just there, to an extent

Most everything in this anime is, at best, average. And while I watched it all the way through, and while I would most likely watch a second season, it barely kept me engaged, especially by the end, so I am happy it is done for the season.

I would not recommend you watch this unless you are unhealthily into this sort of anime, as I am.

If you are in the mood for a battle junkie anime though, you may check out Black Summoner instead.

Finally, a good action anime with a strong female main character. I am very excited for this, not only is the story good, but I can see that slowly the anime/manga industry is moving away from it's misogynistic ideas and bias, if until now we only got animes/mangas in which the main characters were always male and only them were OP and centered on harems, this anime and the other one that aired at the same time with it "Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei" felt very very refreshing and it gives me hope that in the future the female sex will receive ... more chances to prove themselves worthy of being main characters not only in sticky honey romance and "comedy" but also in action animes. I really hope that we'll get more seasons and that people will rate this anime with a higher rate, it's not only the content that we can see, but it's also a hidden social message to it, that women are equal to men, and they can and should get more chances to prove themselves as protagonists in more stories. 10/10 anime for me, please deliver some more seasons.

Just another late to the party trash reincarnation anime.
The story has direction, but lost on the way.
They tried to be goofy and funny, instead it's just stupid.
Each character felt bland and existed for the sake of existing, I'm honestly not against nonsensical stuff but there's a limit on how much nonsense can be accepted to make a story entertaining.
It started when the MC died as the most powerful being in their kingdom and then reincarnated as a female protagonist where she defeated huge monster as a literal baby. That's not where the problem lies, the problem lies later on when the ... story progress and somehow felt like a lot of details were skipped for some unknown reason.

Idk why they skipped some details and kept goofy aaaahhh stuff still in there tbh

Save your time and skip this one.

This anime disguises itself as a shonen focussed around battling... but is actually more akin to a shoujo.

It does a good job luring you in at the start with the concept of the MC actually being a battle-freak guy.. 'he's just trapped in the body of a girl'.
I managed to stomach it up to the 9th episode, however by that point it had already devolved into an unholy mix of isekai trash meets shoujo.
The original concept was interesting, and in the first few episodes there are some enjoyable moments, these however greatly decrease in quality and frequency as the show progresses.
It combines the 'MC ... is OP so there are zero stakes' boring trope common to Isekai trash together with the 'nothing really matters or is of consequence' slice-of-life lackadaisical rubbish that plagues the shoujo genre (in my humble opinion).
Granted I don't like shoujo to begin with, so maybe I can't phrase it all too well.. but all I know is that this anime reeks of shoujo and that I dislike it.
I can stomach isekai trash, if it at least does SOMETHING interesting or different.. however in this particular anime they've chosen to pick shoujo elements for that 'something'.. which is like combining shit with even more, but different, shit.

There's no arguing over taste, so if you think you'd enjoy a trash OP-MC isekai merged with a shoujo, then this might be the anime for you!.. I however cannot continue watching it.

It had the potential to be at least an average Isekai but that's not what happens, there is no depth in the world where she was reborn, many of the dialogues are not necessary, they put a lot of characters in the course of the story without any development, the animation only decays with the passing of the episodes and have a lot of irrelevant ecchi.

I found the protagonist shallow and without any depth and I couldn't understand her much less, she loves to fight, I understand that, but as a person who was an excellent king in her past life and who took such ... good care of her people but in this new life she wants to so much so that a strong monster appears in the middle of the city and if something goes wrong it is the citizens who a re in danger. Another character that stands out a lot and I didn't like it was Rapinha, she is very kind and silly that it gets to be annoying, i particularly liked more of the character Yua that appears in episode eight.

This anime is mid at best. MC is living his second life for battle while trying to "not standout" much. If you watched any show about battles, knights, magic and nobles, I doubt you will find anything new and interesting here. Single minded OP MC doing his battle thing while dumping info on us why he is OP and how magic world works. I cant comprehend why some writers still think that viewer care about this gibberish magic nonsense justifications. Why should I care how it works? It is a freaking magic, just do it and get over with it.

There is distinct absence of ... feeling of new wondrous world that you usually could get from isekai/fantasy stories. While there is a conflict with people castes/classes based on their magic ability and magic beasts constant threat - world in itself is pretty dull. MC being reincarnation of old king dude from magic medieval times laser-focused on battle does not help to get any interest in story. It could be interesting premise, but character exposition is so lacking and generic, that you just cant find any reason to care about anything that's happening on the screen.

MC being a gender swapped does not add anything of interest. No love interest, no nothing.

Animation is nothing special so battle scenes are passable but nothing to look at. Which is detrimental flaw considering that this show is all about battles.

Better to just rewatch some 10's in your library than to suffer from this mediocrity.

The anime started off pretty great, but as the show went on, there was absolutely nothing happening.
This is an "semi-Isekai" (Reborn, but in the same world), and the king is reborn as a waifu. I thought there were be more comedic moments with this, but nothing came out of it. On top of this, the main character is a battle junkie with 0 character growth by the end.
I kept watching hoping for something interesting, but as the show dragged on, every episode became more painful and boring to watch. I'm a pretty positive Isekai reviewer who's at least enjoyed the bad Isekais as ... well. But unfortunately, this Isekai is not just bad, but its painfully boring.

I wouldn't recommend watching this one, even for heavier Isekai/Semi-Isekai/Fantasy fans. There are so many good shows out there to watch, and you get absolutely nothing out of this one.

King dies and reincarnates as a all powerfull female warrior, and decides to do the generic fantasy adventure stuff instead of taking care of a new kingdom. Its all good and interesting during the slow but well paced start, but shortly it all get torn apart and to be replaced with the "generic all powerfull MC" stuff, with the boring hero that solos everything and everyone, without having any real threath to him or everyone around him, while also becoming completly rushed, jumping from one big threath, to another bigger threath, without any time in between to build up what was happening, just a constant ... meaningless poorly made action scene after the other.

It gets some world building related to the history of the wolrd and how the magic works, but the story is as commited to developing it as the MC is interested into becoming a king (queen in this case) again. Much of the story lacks the propper attachment to the world, out of just being some superficial things that could have really anywhere anytime, nothing that makes it feel like things were somehow connected, that in a story that suposedly have some hidden schemes goin on.

The characters are the generic souless sterotypes, they only exist to give superficial motivamation to the MC, or to be beaten by the MC, they dont feel like they really exist as part of the world, but just as objectis in the way of the MC in his magic adventure

It looked good for the first 2 episodes, then it hits a spiral downwards and commits to burn to the ground as a pille of warm ash. Completely passable.The Isekai with the Handyman is a better option than this

starts out kind of promising but quickly goes downhill and turns into crap. only finished watching it to pad my mal list lol.

characters are bland. especially our main character which is just a battle junky done very poorly. the concept of a battle junky can and has been done very well but this one just comes off as empty.

story and fights are also insanely predictable and boring.

i dont really think anyone past the age of 12 will watch this anime and enjoy it. overall there are worse series than this but its definitely worse than most. ima give it a 4/10.

tl;dr OP MC is OP and wants to fight everyone. a better version of Kuro no Shoukanshi but still did not live up to its potential.

Let's begin this review of an isekai by first lining it up against the three pillars of trash-tier isekai.

OP MC? Yes. Undoubtedly and unabashedly OP MC.
Tycoon focus? No. At no point does Inglis appear to be interested in becoming rich.
Harem? No? Inglis acquires a group of women as companions but they do not serve as romantic interests.

Looking pretty good so far eh? Avoided two of those dastardly pillars already. Why did I give this a 4/10 then?

There's been plenty ... of OP MC's in anime and especially in isekai/reborn animes and the MC of this show, Inglis, is no different, being reborn with powers beyond the pale that put her contemporaries, enemy and compatriot alike, to shame. While not necessarily a bad thing per se, when combined with difficult personalities it becomes a liability to the show. Thankfully Eiyuu-ou Tenseisu gives us a main character that isn't unlikable; Inglis cares about the people around her and her friends and is generally a good person.

However, the viewer's enjoyment of the show is kneecapped by the incessant repetition of the character tropes from the moment they are introduced all the way to the show's conclusion. While repetition may be a useful tool for prose and informative work, typically it is the bane of comedy and entertainment and Eiyuu-ou Tenseisu is unfortunately no different. The characters become nearly flat from lack of development beyond their trope. Cool sidekick remains cool sidekick. Unconfident and mistreated sidekick becomes marginally more confident and less mistreated. Initially mean but not actually sidekick is still initially mean but not actually sidekick. And MC remains just a battle jockey with OP abilities and uncanny world sense thanks to knowledge from a prior life.

I won't spoil what little there is to actually spoil but after the first couple episodes the show really lost my engagement, and it took a conscious effort to finish up the show and write this review. Points for not having a tycoon arc and an actual harem like other subpar isekais but unfortunately replacing it with "hur dur i want fight" does not cut it. Do not recommend.

The more you watch, the more mediocre the show is.
Inglis, the main character is cute and a bit charming, but she's really just another "Goku": she just wants a good fight.
The other characters are clichéd and uninteresting. Only Inglis stands out, maybe a little Rafinha.
The story does not hold up throughout the chapters. Inglis is the reincarnation of a powerful King but that'is just the initial premise, after chapter 2 it doesn't matter anymore. Also, like other Anime, she is overpowered but doesn't want to stand out, though she ends up doing so.
Animation is okey. I do like the art style.
This Anime is only ... sustained for being a "Waifus generator". Nothing more.
Watch it if you want something light.

Lets get one thing out of the way: if you expect to see anyone being reborn to master any blades, you're in for a disappointment. The heroine is reincarnated as one of the few people to understand how mana works, and essentially uses that to nuke anything that gets in her way.
In her previous life she was a king, but in this life she just wants to have fun as a fighter without all that responsibility. This scenario in itself is a giant improvement over the standard isekai formula of Japanese game-playing loser reborn to live out a power/sex fantasy. The heroine is fun to ... watch, as every terrifying monster or opponent provokes only joy and anticipation in her, much to the consternation of her companions.
Her companions are a harem of standard types, the sweet one, the tsundere but nice one, the insecure but nice one.
The plot is ok, there are monsters to be fought against a background of political intrigue between the lowlands and their overlords on floating mountains.
The animation gets a bit cheap after a couple of episodes.
All in all, harmless fun.

This story is super cool and definitely worth checking out! The fantasy world created in this tale is detailed and fascinating, with a mix of magic and sword fighting that plays an important role in the plot. Plus, the character of Inglis is really strong as a noble princess with an unwavering determination and fighting spirit.

However, there are a few weak points in terms of character development and some parts of the story could use a bit more explanation. This makes the plot feel a bit disjointed at times and some events seem to happen too quickly.

Still, overall this story is really engaging and perfect ... for fans of the fantasy genre. It's definitely a great choice for anyone looking for an exciting new adventure to follow!

The beast designs are really ugly, like your typical bad CGI models. The character appearances are really a major step down from the manga and LN and are really disappointing, the frowns and smiles they make can be really nasty at times. Not often do I feel this way but the voice acting in this show really got on my nerves, especially for some of the characters and kept making me feel like skipping their lines. Most of their jokes fall flat and straight down to the depths of the world. I get that it is trying to be comedic and want to make the ... action seem carefree for the MC, but they are really bad. Plus, that 4th wall breaking quip in the last episode made no sense and came out of nowhere when there was no implication of this anywhere before this.

Best to stick to the manga or LN, this anime was a disaster.

By all rights I should have loved this series after all it ticked so many boxes for me...
Genderbending, isekai, interesting world, OP protag who just likes to have fun with it.
And yet, it just falls short.

I'll briefly go into what it does right.
The first few episodes are a really strong start, they set up the characters, introduce the world, the structure of the people in it, and the threats that are going to be faced.
More than that, we get a good amount of mysteries / questions that arise that hooks us into watching more.

On to what I don't like.
The conflicts between characters feels weak.
The ... MC lacks all interest in the plot / events of the world, which makes me lose interest as it is a background thing that the MC doesn't seem to want to get engaged in. - If the MC doesn't care, then why should I? she's of POV character, so our attachments and interests are vicariously gained from her.
All this series seems to do is pile up questions and mysteries, and then answers none of them, which is deeply unsatisfying, yes you want some questions going forward into a season 2, but you should also answer at least one or two things.

This series is enjoyable to watch, but it doesn't live up to its potential
I'm giving it a 5/10 because it both entertained me, and disappointed me
It is said that the ending is paramount, and this one left me very unsatisfied

Should've been called "Reborn to Fight".

This whole time I was watching to see how the MC grew her prowess with the sword and what does this battle junkie do instead? Spend the whole show kicking and punching things or learning to make mana and use mana when she already has a higher ranked skill: aether.

Not to mention SHE used to be HE? This show wouldn't have been different if this girl was a reincarnated queen instead of a king. It served the story 0%.

And why does everyone look so much older than they are? I know it's common in anime but c'mon the ... main leads are middlescoolers? The holy knights are 20-something and younger? The barrier lady is apparently the only adult in school? God forbid we have a show where adults actually do their job or even just high schoolers. Nah that would be too ridiculous. Only middlescoolers have enough positivity and faith to be the good guys and save the world.

Watch episode 1 and then write fanfiction cause that's the only episode worth it.
