Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo

Well, i had very few expectations from a show like this. But even so, i was very pleasantly surprised regardless .

First of all, the world building is this one is top notch. Unironically so. Plenty of well crafted details. The animation is pretty good as well, even when the spicy moments are not on the screen. The story also advanced at a pretty nice pace. And it might sound wierd but this one feels..... grounded in reality to some extent? For example.. the whole bandit hideout part. It played out so well, it felt like a different anime entirely. I also like the eerie soundless ... move into the item box . Not to mention the unique take on the effects of losing MP. The world itself basically using physcological warfare against you.

Now, with all that praise, .... i gotta be honest, in the last ... what, 3 episodes? It kinda falls off. And in a sense that it got rushed towards the end. After all, the rest of the girls outside of Shery and Roxanne are introduced in the god damn ending. It's like they had so much fun expanding the story and taking it slow they forgot they had 12 episodes only. Other then that, even if you'd remove the premise that's obviously the main attraction this show would still run smooth. Also, really liked how that Trader played MC the first time around.

But now, a real issue, since the main selling point of the show is ecchi...... It's still CENSORED in the UNCENSORED version. Like at some points they cover the entire god damn screen. And that's not an exageration. And if you look at it on CERTAIN sites, that FULLY remove the censor... You'll find out that it's not even necessary, since the parts are not even drawn in. So yeah... It's rated 18+ but not even the official "uncensored" version isn't fully uncensored. Luckily they hooked me with everything else, otherwise i wouldn't have given it a chance.

Even with that rushed ending, it was still a worthwhile watch. The manga's author COOKED.

The problem is how the ecchi is important in this anime. Sometimes this look like a hentai. The history isn't good, but isn't so bad. If they invest more in history, probably would be a 7, maybe 8. But, the only thing I saw in the mid-end is sex scenes, some eps, 3 times. If you want a hentai, u will be like, if ask a good history, well... avoid.
The chars are... well... ""mixed feelings"".
Roxanne is so cutie and lovely, the others girls are good draw, but only it. The protagonist is bad, I don't liked.
Probably I won't rewatch this anime, maybe ... in a next season(I think be never happen), i will stay with this vision a head.

I started watching 'Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World', expecting it would scratch my longing for something similar to 'Redo of Healer.' I've seen some posts predicting it as the next Redo. That was years ago.

Did it deliver? Nah, prepare to be disappointed.

Kaga Michio starts playing an online game, but to his surprise, he finds himself transported to another world where owning sex slaves is a given.

§ Notes


1. It has different versions. One, a censored version. Two, an uncensored version. Three, a more hardcore version. (Cuts from version 3 is likely the same as the specials.)

The nudity and the amount of sex the MC gets is what makes this similar to Redo of Healer.


2. Despite all the sex, it's worse than mediocre. The sex isn't really all that exciting. The women in Michio's harem aren't exactly the best-looking girls, save for one, who is aristocratic but the title was stripped from her father.


3. Strip all the hentai in this, it is a mediocre isekai or probably worse. It's just the usual slop with gaming mechanics that don't really seem to be different.


4. Animation is fairly standard and not remarkable.


5. So far, the anime that I've watched that scratches my itch for something similar to Redo of Healer is 'Failure Frame' as well as 'The Most Notorious "Talker" Runs the World's Greatest Clan'. Both have edge lord characters that carry their respective shows.

'Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World' has a boring, generic main character. His character design is generic. There's no underlying angst or character motivation that would compel you to watch him.

Revenge was the compelling drive with Redo of Healer, and Failure Frame had this so it was a compelling watch even though it lacked the borderline aspects of Redo. Notorious Talker had a compelling MC.

No wonder this anime is missing a crucial ingredient.


6. This actually started okay. I like that Michio worked his ass off to earn money to buy his first sex slave, Roxanne. But after that, the story stagnated. They just fought monsters and had sex.

If this anime only had Episode 1 until he got Roxanne, I would have scored this a bit higher. There's no goal introduced in this anime that is driving his actions, so it's safe to say, he is just there to satisfy his lust.


7. This anime has an awesome OP and ED. Unfortunately, I don't consider them in the final score. But I appreciate how unique its ED is.


§ Conclusion

This anime failed to deliver on the hype that some people are claiming, i.e. that it might be the next Redo of Healer. This is why it falls flat in its face. With or without the nudity, it's a really bad and boring isekai.
