Zenonzard The Animation

Ok, I'm gonna start with, is I NICE SERIES, why? It manages to ad lore to a card game, there are some events that at the begining someone would say: wtf is this? but by now (episode 6) everything make sence, the lore is like Yu-Gi-Oh but using different mitology and Purpose then Yu-Gi-Oh, if you like card games with nice Lory this is for you, I'll recomend first watch episode 0, then start with 1, since 0 explains some stuff, now, the monsters, the music, the effects, and this story telling you the past of some codeman's is nicely done If you played the ... game you get a bonus, you can know more your codeman, I loved every aspect of this anime, but being honest with this, there is an episode that I fell pretty overwhelmed, with so many codemans appearing out of nowhere but it adds this felling that everybody knows eachother, if you really love the game you are gonna love this anime

This is gonna be a short review, and I'll just keep it condensed.

This short 9-episode OVA that has episodes come out every end of the month (from January to October, minus April) in the fable year of 2020 is nothing more but promotional material for the Zenonzard AI card game that's popular in Japan.

What this OVA entails are some of the many characters of their aptly-named Codeman pseudonyms, whom in these 9 episodes have shown, is more like an introduction to their characters and personalities that while may not have been derived from the actual game, the original script for them feels fine and nothing ... to rave about.

Contracting 8-bit to do this short OVA feels pretty good with consistent visuals, that's about it when it comes to visuals.

If there is one good thing about this short OVA, is the OST of a bopping OP and its many episodic EDs pertaining to the character of the month. Honestly, the best aspect for me.

Thankfully, Bandai Namco has since then released this game globally, so if this OVA has aroused your interest, it is now available for both Android and iOS to download to try for yourself.

Let's talk about Zenonzard. Bookmarked the series when episode zero came out. I waited, and finally, it started to release.

To be honest, I don't think they are even trying at this point, Been stuck on episode 6 forever. Oh and let's not forget, the slow release is a different thing, but the episodes are way too Short. This anime could be better, Art is awesome, and I love it. Sorry, I don't get the story, what's the point? to become the best? Might as well call the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! 2.0 or something.

Sound and animation are decent, while the character development is a bit questionable. The ... witch scene was good, ig?


It just didn't meet up to my expectations and I wish the release pace was just a bit faster (Standard norm of 1 chpt/week)
