Val x Love

Valkyries—legendary female warriors from the land of gods, Asgard—are sent by Odin to protect Earth against the growing threat of demons. To overcome these threats, nine valkyries under the guise of the Saotome sisters will have to level up by performing a variety of romantic acts with their official lover, Einherjar.

Meanwhile, the socially anxious Takuma Akutsu learns that Odin has chosen him as the valkyries' lover. Despite his utter horror, however, he agrees to let the sisters stay in his big yet empty house to help them in their war against demons. With nine beautiful women sharing his roof, will Takuma manage to prevail over his fear of society and become someone worthy of saving the world?

A very unique twist to your typical anime of this type. Having the MC be completely different than typical MCs of this genre really did open up a world of opportunities.

The story, while unique, is a bit dull and feels overplayed in some way. Of course, this only applies to certain aspects of the story, but each part of the story influences it all, so it ends up feeling dull a bit. This was somewhat well done in the end, and my Akuma boy really did well throughout this.

Personally, the assortment of character types and how they act in certain situations and events is what ... saves this. Each character has their own unique ways and | feel like that's what makes them feel like proper beings. There were some episodes where it felt like nothing was happening or that something happened for the sake of happening. At least, to me, it felt like this.

The animation was more than I was expecting, however. From the environments to the characters, everything felt well done and fleshed out. Everything was very pleasant to the eye.

Overall, not a bad watch. Of course, this isn't for everyone, as it's kind of an acquired taste of some sort. Some people might enjoy this more than others. This is nothing that will change your world, but it's a good experience

Mixed Feelings

It could have been a nice, humourous Ecchi/Harem anime, if it had been given the proper time to develop. The characters are nice, the Yamada jokes are not that bad, the MCs do have some chemistry, but it sort of feels as if they tried to cram 24 or more episodes onto one short season, in a way that even someone who hasn't read the manga knows that there's a lot missing. I really dislike the way they tried to cover important plot points with flashbacks and just randomly insert background information like the whole "Our Majesty" thing with Futaba that had not been previously ... mentioned or the day he met Natsuki. Again, the girls are pretty and really likeable, the premise might not be the freshest but it's definitely entertaining. It's just such a shame to see such potential going to waste for the lack of better judgement on the direction's behalf. If they had made a good, albeit incomplete, first arc (and an uncensored blu-ray), this series could definitely get a second season.

If you're looking for something with a storyline done before in a different setting, and happy to skip out on a decent storyline, this could be for you. It uses the same sort of plot as Hybrid Heart and can be found the derivative of others as it tries to combine leveling up of isekai, with the ecchi for a cheap thrill.

The stories are about a guy who chose to be the lover of 9 valkyries, and you worry at first when you see it as some are pre-pubescent and you think, how far is this going to be pushed. But ... the FBI shouldn't be raiding you for watching it. It uses the older sisters to try and build up a forced physical and emotional relationship, with your typical guy who doesn't have a care in the world for girls or people.

We get the typical tropey discomfort of the forced fumbling around and uncomfortable situations you're supposed to laugh, or aww at. Personally, I sighed at how badly written it seemed.

The concept is simple, fall in love with the scary-looking guy, be molested, or eventually worse and you will level up. You will have to continue this even when feeling used and abused as the show explains through people's actions.

The fact is they go along with most of it, and he grows more comfortable as things go on, with the idea is ok to be felt up, etc, to save the world even if the reality is, he just wants to study.

I honestly think would be better off pushing this as hentai, as I never understood ecchi that doesn't show nipples when you can see clearly boobs etc, it pushes the fan service that hard especially with 2 of the girls undeveloped as if young teens. The story is derivative, poor at best, and is your typical hopeless loser, gets the girls ambition as a story. The art is mediocre to average at best, and if your in it for ecchi and fan service, you will like it. Sounds not the greatest for setting the mood but it is what it is. Overall it's watchable, but will never be a masterpiece
