Preliminary (8/24 eps)
well to summarize Dr.Stone it's a really good idea but with really bad execution! This anime is so unrealistic when it's supposed to be related to scientific facts. If this was a superpower anime with superpower abilities that would make sense but they're supposed to be just regular high school students. The jokes are bad and not funny at all. The lines are so cringe and awkward "We're going to become the Adam and Eve of this stone world"..... really?

The story is 4/10 had potentials
The art 1/10
Character 1/10 they're all so unlikable
Enjoyment 1/10 when I was laughing at things that were supposed to be serious

I ...

I try to avoid giving 1-star ratings very often, but I can't think of any redeeming qualities this show might possess. After looking up animation clips for this (revised) review, I have to say that the animation is mostly poor based on the "choice bits," and almost every scene of animation uses time/money-saving techniques; there are loads of stills and hardly any good effects or background animation, and even then, the characters mostly just slide around and you see their mouths flap. All of the budget is dumped into the fights, and they are still very bland; they give you these wide "money shots" where ...

Dr. Stone is an anime with a fascinating premise and a very intriguing world. On first pass, it looks competently animated, the plot progression is quite enjoyable, and hints at fascinating themes. With all those features, surely this series had to be quite great and I’m writing a rave review of it. Right? Well, in this stone world impossible things are possible. Despite all this series had going for it, it was wildly, ridiculously flawed. Dr. Stone is sophomorically directed, cartoonishly over-acted, and the largely decent soundtrack is used incorrectly. It’s childishly written, and its characters were unbearably cliché and plastic. It’s somehow simultaneously annoyingly ...

Started for the premise, stayed for Senku. I've been hearing about this series for around a year now and was initially just going to watch the anime until I saw the series at a bookstore and said "why not" and picked up the first two volumes and boy was it worth it. So here we are around the beginning of the village arc after today's episode. This review will be more along the lines of nudging skeptical viewers to delve deeper into the actual quality part of the series. Without further delay, here's my review of Dr Stone so far.

Story: One day a mysterious ray ...

a friend of mine gave me the advice to watch me, speaking about how scientific this series is. i' ve found nothing about science in this series, at least if we don't consider some elementary school level things. totally overrated.
unrealistic things like humans defeating lions with bare hands, 6 months to create a hut pretending to be a scientist.
the protagonist is annoying, and the characters too.
comic relief without a meaning.
the beginning of everything is the most anti-science thing in the series, and rather than analysing it, the play a survival game. good joke.
it was boring and annoying.

I was really looking forward to watching this anime when I first read through the idea behind it but sadly it has been a big disappointment.

The premise gives you so many possibilities and I was honestly expecting a story involving survival elements and some interesting knowledge about chemistry and physics to be used with what is available in such a 'stone world'.
Sadly none of these elements are actually in the anime or at least not in a satisfying way.
The story goes into really boring directions and ends up being the same shit you see in every other average shounen anime... might be something you ...

Im here standing in front of my pc on how to approach the following review. Should i just google what has happened in both the manga and anime and consider myself "smart" enough to criticize the anime or should i just accept that this is just a series thats supposed to entertain with an interesting concept?

Anyway, Dr. Stone has to be one of the most unique and interesting animes i have seen this year in terms of what is all about, the idea of quickly traveling into "time" on a short period of this topic as well is so unique that it actually caught me ...

Preliminary (6/24 eps)
With a bit of a heads up, I have not read the manga, but from the first 6 episodes, I can safely say that this show is definitely worth looking into. Here is why-

Story - 8
The story that is Dr. Stone is one that is a warm welcome. The story opens up similar to that of an isekai show where our main characters are transported into the future 3,700 years via petrification. Here, the current world has been completely rearranged, with few remnants left. Our main character Senku, sees this as an opportunity as he one of presumably few who have escaped the petrification. Our ...

Dr.Stone is alright. When reading the synopsis of Dr.Stone I was pretty hyped. As post-apocalyptic stories are my favorite kind of story. However when watching it I was let down. Even though the premise was amazing the execution was silly and poor with many plot deceives. However it was still enjoyable to watch and watching Senku rise up his city of science was satisfying.

One of the things I don't like with this show are the characters. I mean I like Senku a little but none of the characters honestly stick out or make any real impression. There all the extremes of their tropes ...

Normally I don't really jump at new animes with high scores, and highly thought about. Because I like to cast my own judgement first, rather than going off what others think. But honestly, after watching the first couple of eps. I got really hooked on the concept and the show in general. To the point I couldn't stop thinking about it for the entire day. So I'd give it a watch honestly, if you leaves you with that.

It really does leave you want to see more, and more of the world that they've set up. What else it'll bring, and what else will happen. If ...

Preliminary (6/24 eps)

this is my first review of the pure without reading the manga, when the trailer came out. I was very interested in this Dr.Stone anime, at the time the anime was airing. Honestly, I feel goosebump when the scene of all humans become statues.

This anime has an interesting story line with additional physics and biology in it, which makes the audience as well as learning as well

there are several designs of the character's face at several angles that I think are unsightly

overall I really like the main character who is very genius

at the beginning of this anime the story looks very monotonous, but believe me ...

Preliminary (7/24 eps)
After a long time, I came across something different. There's something different about all the animes I've been watching.

The character designs are interesting but the main thing that makes you watch is the story and the narration

Instead of compressing unnecessary information together, they took care to show every part full of it.There is information about science in between. As you watch, you learn how to decipher things. This is also a different feature

The sound is not a very interesting subject, but the sound is a little better that could make this anime better

It's an anime that everyone can watch fondly.I can't break up any issues.I suggest you watch

Dr. Stone is an interesting shounen in the sense that it takes a bit of a different direction from the norm. Despite the manga being published in Weekly Shounen Jump, Dr. Stone is by no means a battle shounen, but instead focuses on something more intelligent and creative, namely scientific discoveries and the development of early human society. That is not to say that the show is necessarily realistic all the time, but rather more of a liberal and fictional take on something that at least has realistic roots.

That being said, I also have to stress that the opening arc of Dr. Stone is... not ...

Preliminary (9/24 eps)
It seems Dr. Stone is one of those anime's that you either love or hate. I believe this is because the thing that makes Dr. Stone so great is not that it has outstanding characters, nor a good story, it's that it fills a niche that was long waiting to be exploited.

I'd say the best way to describe Dr. Stone in a nutshell, is that it's pretty much the anime version of playing one of those Minecraft modpacks where you start off in a primitive world, make primitive tools, keep upgrading them and making contructs, and eventually after putting a lot of work in you get ...

Dr. Stone unfolds in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic future where the central character, Senku, a science enthusiast, faces an extraordinary event that petrifies all living beings on Earth, including himself. He reawakens 3700 years later to a world devoid of civilization. After discovering the process to revive petrified individuals, Senku gradually awakens friends in his proximity. With his exceptional intellect and the power of science, he embarks on the task of rebuilding civilization.

Among the awakened is a boy with remarkable physical abilities who believes the new society should not rely on science to avoid the destructive fate of the 21st century. This clash between two ideologies ...

-Note: English is not my native language, I apologize for possible mistakes. (This review does not contain spoilers)

Dr. minecraf... to begin with it this entertaining, this had a unique style and it's very creative, the premise is interesting, and in several moments I loved how combined comedy and science (although it doesn't always turn out to be funny at all), of course, it's the perfect example in many moments of why science is great.
But there are several things that take me out of context, and although this it's not a "shonen battles" as such, I am quite shocked that they want to be so scientific ...

Spoiler warning: I will speak on certain spoilers about the story, so therefore I would recommend you to watch the show before you read this review. I also would like to encourage the reader to not blindly follow my or anyone else their opinions. I believe that my opinion is neither correct nor incorrect. I apologise in advance for any grammar or vocabulary mistakes as English is not my native language.

I really wanted to love this, I really did. The idea of it is simple yet promising and original but sadly it failed to deliver.
I did enjoy the first few episodes to be fair, but everything goes downhill during the village arc. It tries way too hard to be funny and sometimes it takes itself too seriously.
This is supposed to be a comedy sci-fi with an interesting plot and yet I couldn't help but be bored out of my mind during the whole thing. One of my biggest issues was the pacing, it was all over the place. Like, the characters would decide ...

Preliminary (2/24 eps)
The premise was kind of interesting, but apart from that there wasn't really anything that made me want to continue watching this series.
The first two main characters that are introduced in the show are essentially a badass scientist who knows pretty much everything and a physically strong guy who has the intelligence of a monkey (though this might be somewhat insulting for monkeys). I think the personality of those characters lacks depth, I didn't really care about them. I still continued watching past the first episode because I found the idea of re-establishing a civilization starting from scratch interesting.

However, when they got chased by lions, ...

To Quote Mark Watney in The Martian "I'm going to have to science the sh*t out of this."

That one sentence, is Dr. Stone.

Before I go any further I want to stress that the idea itself is interesting. Something happened throwing the whole world back into the stone age and then protagonist-kun arrives to save everyone with SCIENCE!

Fine, Sounds like a great idea for a children's educational show.... but this is clearly not meant for kids though. If anything it's more of a twist on the isekai genre with the OP main character complete with a cast that does nothing but play cheerleader to him.

This ...
