a friend of mine gave me the advice to watch me, speaking about how scientific this series is. i' ve found nothing about science in this series, at least if we don't consider some elementary school level things. totally overrated.
unrealistic things like humans defeating lions with bare hands, 6 months to create a hut pretending to be a scientist.
the protagonist is annoying, and the characters too.
comic relief without a meaning.
the beginning of everything is the most anti-science thing in the series, and rather than analysing it, the play a survival game. good joke.
it was boring and annoying.

i'm fond of historical series, and a person gave me the advice to watch this series, " about Vikings". prologue or not, i find this serie ridiculously overrated.
the protagonist is a stupid, useless brat who always needs help from someone else to achieve something, and to live. first mistake: disobeying to his father, and my impression was that he is the real culprit of the mess that happens later. second mistake: sticking to a childish lifestyle in order to survive. Thorfinn is a like a living-dead, unable to do anything. he doesnt' change, from 5 to 17.
third mistake: total absence of chara development and ... of a more rounder world building ( everything is Viking, and the English troups or whoever is anonymous being about whom we know anything).
fourth mistake: Canute' s holy spirit, from a crybaby to an almost trustworthy king. very realistic, mixing it with harshness, blood and all.
fifth error: Askeladd pretending to be a weel-written character, without any emotion.
this series was a totally unworthy and a waste of time for me. WIT studo has no this great animation too, and the series was not able to give me anything, not a tear nor a shiver. a forgetful thing, for me.

i was looking for a more rounded and serious historical manga, to know everything about the setting and not only stick with the protagonists.

This will be my favorite seasonal of all. Historical accuracy about a character I like a lot, even though Sengoku era is not my favorite I love Nobunaga. the first episode already shows his true nature of a skilled guy with a particular intelligence.
I was sure I was going to love it, and I was not disappointed. Love you Oda Nobunaga.
I watched the first 4 episodes currently and i'm not disappointed at all. i'm loving this show. it's perfect.

It shows Oda Nobunaga's life, our Lord of War and Demon King, since his childhood. Soon we see his adolescence and his capabilities.
We will ... watch his life until his battles when he gains the title he will be known.
Nobunaga's childhood was a diffucult upbringing, but in his adolescence n.e starts to show his capabilities as a leader of the Oda clam

From the Deen staff who created the masterpiece Hakuouki, I am not disappointed, This will be the best seasonal of all, this summer.

I cried a lot. It's perfect fron an historical point of view. Hijikata is one of my favorite characters and they show even his love story. I love Shinsengumi members. I'm in love with this historical period, I'm in love with them. I cry everytime i watch something like this.

Hijikata is shown as perfect as he is. Handsome, strong, strong-willed, but lovable. Our Demon-chief is the best.
I was surprised from the accuracy about Sannan's affair, it's the first time i see this in an anime. I loved it

They are real. They are no mere characters. I loved how much they showed Shinsengumi's ... true side.
before this, watch anime like Hakuouki shinsengumi kitan or peace maker kurogane, The real shinsengumi from shieka dojo.

One of the worst series i've ever watched. No plot, no historical basement, only comedy. Shinsengumi, which is a fundamental part of japanese history, is a parody and a group of idiots. Inexistent historical basement ( no contrast between shogunate and imperial army).

only comedy without serious elements. Historical names changed.
Okita is officially way more psychopatic than this parody, Hijikata is way more serious, Kondo is not a stalker nor a womanizer.
Shinsengumi flag completely abset. Important events like Aburanokoji and Ikedaya totally absent. No Shinsengumi importance.

"Protagonists" without serious features at all.

A disgusting series, more than pathetic or appalling.

I knew this series only by her name, thanks to an artist. When i heard about the anime, i read the plot and i found it intriguing. Now, i can say i love Banana Fish. The anime sets the story after more than 30 years than the original manga, but nothing is lost. Ash, Shorter, Eiji, they are the same. I have to read the manga though.
This story is so good and it's almost scaring that now, in 2018, this story could be so real only changing his original setting.
I wish this series would more success, it deserves it.
I will cry, i will panick, ... but i would never regret having watched it.

Personally, a very good series with the worst fan and fandom ever. The series is wonderufl, with good animators and official art. Fans disrespect it.

But the story is full of meaning, with character suited to be the villain, and rivals to forge a good rivalry in order to improve and grow up.
Aoba Johsai and Iwaoi are the essence of this show, an as characters and team they have the best meaning of all.

The series is one of the best, but fandom does not deserve season 4.
The story of Hinaya Shoyo and his struggle, the battle to be the one he wants to be, ... the one he dreams about, is something that we can see in current life.
They are no simple characters, but human representations.
