Ninja Batman

At Arkham Asylum, Batman clashes with Gorilla Grodd while trying to destroy Grodd's newest invention: the Quake Engine. Amidst the chaos, the engine activates, and the entire asylum suddenly vanishes into thin air—Batman along with it. Once the dust settles, Batman finds himself standing in the middle of an unfamiliar road. He soon realizes that he is no longer in Gotham City—but instead in Feudal Japan!

The amazement quickly fades as samurai descend upon him, seeking to take his life. Later on, Batman's investigation leads him to discover that the one responsible for the kill order is none other than his archnemesis, the Joker. Following an encounter with Catwoman, he learns that the asylum's criminals had teleported there two years earlier—each ruling over a piece of Japan with Joker being the dominant warlord.

In order to return home, Batman must reactivate the Quake Engine, situated in the remnants of the asylum, now known as Arkham Castle. However, there is one problem: aside from his gadget belt, the arsenal that was once at his fingertips is all but gone. Ninja Batman follows the Dark Knight as he traverses a strange new environment, facing off against familiar foes in a bid to return to Gotham in one piece.

the story is kind of all over the place, makes no sense and out of character.


but it was the most hilarious, fever dream experience I've ever had regarding a batman movie. if you are a big fan of batman and like anime then you will find this movie hilarious. I suggest watching it in Japanese because joker's VA is great.

The art design is fun to watch honestly and aside from Damien's horrid hair cut the character designs are great too.

I found the background design a little lacking at times, giving off a feeling of emptiness.

there were a few out of character moments ... regarding Damien and grodd, grayson hardly had any memorable lines at all but catwoman and the joker were wonderful.

overall the movie was great to watch if you are bored and have always wanted to watch a batman giant mecha anime set in feudal japan.

Mixed Feelings

Story wise this movie is pretty dumb. The characters, who are detectives and fight evil crime lords, hope to win with the power of friendship and feel betrayed when the villains behave like villains. The voices really got into my nerves, it's just too annoying and high pitched for everyone, the joker was specially annoying with his moaning. To me, it seems like whoever make this really loved batman's concept and watched him as a kid, but didin't revisit his source material as an adult and wrote something that an 8 year old would find badass or whatever. Like, reaally, batman who watched his parents ... die and punishes himself fighting criminals will gat depressed and talk to himself over not winning one battle? The joker escapes all the time, he's used to it!! He probably even enjoys it! Him throwing his mask into the sunset has to be one of the stupidest things I have ever seen batman do.
Oh, also, wtf are women's bodies in this? As a comic book enjoyer I am used to girls not having ribs or a back in the male designer's head but the bust in this movie was too much for me. I has so hyped to see harley and cat woman as ninjas but all I got was jiggly animations who will make me have an anneurism.
Anyways, if you ignore the plot, the lack of character consistency and the ugly ass female anatomy, I see that it is possible to enjoy it if you focus on visuals. The movie is beautiful and visually inspired by japanease culture. It is made with detailed care in many aspects, being very fascinating. The backgrounds and changes made the story more emmersive. The sole problem is based on the plot.

To be honest this is one of the worst movies I have ever seen.The pacing sucks,the action is way too random and has a lot of gaps. Story was a clichee.I pretty much forced myself to watch the movie and focused more to not fall asleep.
The only things that are likable in this movies are the monkeys. JK JK The characters are ok, and the artstyle fits the concept well.
Sound effects were pretty bad and that one song during the final battle made me cringe.
I did not enjoy the movie and also do not reccomend it.Unless you are a hardcore DC fan .
