Thanks a lot for ruining Tokyo Ghoul for everyone, I hope you're proud of yourself.

This man is ridiculously underrated, and I'm pretty sad to see he isn't getting more projects.

He showed a near perfect understanding of Tokyo Ghoul's atmosphere and did a stellar job conveying that through S1 and especially Root A, with the disturbing moments as well as the peaceful, quiet and melancholic ones. Shame his work was sabotaged by greedy and out of touch executives with their ridiculous demands.

If Tokyo Ghoul ever gets a reboot from a more respectable Studio, this is the man for the job. Assisted by Tadahito Matsubayashi , and given freedom in bringing the story to life, I have no doubt he'd be able to create one of the best adaptations we'd have ever seen.
