The aloof protagonist: a bookworm who is deeply detached from the world he resides in. He has no interest in others and is firmly convinced that nobody has any interest in him either. His story begins when he stumbles across a handwritten book, titled Living with Dying. He soon identifies it as a secret diary belonging to his popular, bubbly classmate Sakura Yamauchi. She then confides in him about the pancreatic disease she is suffering from and that her time left is finite. Only her family knows about her terminal illness; not even her best friends are aware. Despite this revelation, he shows zero sympathy for her plight, but caught in the waves of Sakura's persistent buoyancy, he eventually concedes to accompanying her for her remaining days.

As the pair of polar opposites interact, their connection strengthens, interweaving through their choices made with each passing day. Her apparent nonchalance and unpredictability disrupts the protagonist's impassive flow of life, gradually opening his heart as he discovers and embraces the true meaning of living.

A really strong anime, with an emotional story, amazing production value, and a fun movie to watch on a rainy day.

Those are the strong points about this film. It's hard not to give credit where credit is due. This movie is an amazing watch for both new fans and long time watchers.

A solid 9. I want to give this a solid 10, but it's pretty clear that this movie, as good as it looks, is nowhere as well made as something like Silent Voice, Your Name, or 5 centimeters. Which is hard to say, because I had to actually stop to consider just because a ...

Mixed Feelings
This movie raises a thought of what you want to do and how you want to spend your life. This movie tells you the importance of time and the importance of the memories spent with our loved ones. It nicely portrayed the way a person puts effort to make a change in life because a sudden person who entered your life made you realise the value of that change in your life.

The emotion you get to feel about your loved ones going far away from you or leaving you alone in this world is something unique to everyone and can't be described in words. The ...

Tackling the reality that people actually die in real life can be an interesting focus, considering that all of this could happen to literally anyone at any time. Stories revolving the realization and process of death should be very moving, at least to those who have never experienced this type of thing and to those who have an affinity for these type of shows which should be cathartic.

I am of the latter persuasion and dealing with grief is definitely my wheelhouse. You might even say I have an unhealthy obsession with it. Unfortunately this 2 hour forced cliché dumster fire is neither cathartic nor pleasant; ...
