Back at the start of my binge watching of this franchise, I stumbled across the magnificent series of shorts after finishing the first season, I was really disappointed that there was none for the second season, but here we are, blessed with another 6 episodes of shorts for the 3rd installment of the series.
- Story (4.0/10):
Much like the previous specials, there is no story going on, it's just clips of various activities or events happening between the individuals of the club, revolving heavily on fanservice of course.
- Art (8.0/10):
As short as the animations were, they felt glorious, with so much focus on the skin tones
of the characters, and of course those body bumps that keep us coming.
- Sound (6.0/10):
As obvious as it is, I didn't watch this to enjoy the soundtrack, and what soundtrack there was? nothing to catch your ear. What kept the scenes going were the erotic voice acting that makes the short closer to being a hentai if you were to close your eyes and imagine stuff based on what you hear.
- Character (7.0/10):
I like that they went ahead and included pretty much every major girl in the series, specifically a woman we never thought we needed, Grayfia, Lucifer's wife, oh boy, just what we were missing from the parent series.
- Enjoyment (7.0/10):
It was an okay experience, had some giggles, the fanservice was so intense that you wouldn't want somebody to catch you watching it, you'd rather sacrifice being seen watching twitch THOTs than this.
- Overall (6.4/10):
If you're a fan of fanservice, and most of us are, this is differently something you'd want to see, although, not as good as the previous short series, it differently sets off the tone after the intense events of the third season.
These shorts are just fun 3 minute episodes to hold fans over until what I assume will be the DxD BorN OVA(s) which may or may not come to be. These shorts are really similar to the ones that aired after the 1st season of DxD.
Not much to review since the specials are so short.
Its just some fan service and comedy. None of the comedy was really all that gut-busting as the specials are more aimed for nut-busting haha (am I right?). Each short involves some sort of provocative situation that Issei finds himself in and thats about it. These aren't anything special but they
are nice to have.
Bottom line is if you liked DxD you'll enjoy these shorts.
