Here's the plot:

New guy at school. He is in the worst class in the school.
His job is now to change the class and make it the best in preparation of something I forgot...

So he sleeps with the girls in class. And finds ways to prep up the guys too, but not by having sex with them.

There should have been a third episode this hentai is incomplete but it was canceled, too bad.


The animation on the girls were pretty good, pretty hot, every single one of the girls, I enjoyed it.

I just rewatched this hentai, and looking at some of the reviews here, it's clear people weren't paying attention to the story. There's a few possible reasons for that, but the plot goes that the vice principal and the head of the theater club pretty much control the school Class 2_B is the place where all misfits all put, including delinquints, oddballs, and geniuses. There's even a music idol in the class, though she rarely attends, partly due to her professional schedule. The VP and drama club leader like to make life hell for these misfits, in part by arranging for the members to be ... bullied. On his first day, Yuji finds out out the "captain" of 2B, a violent girl, has gone charging off witch a baseball bat to rescue a boy in her class from several bullies. Yuji, a self-proclaimed transfer student of justice with a history of violence in his previous school, goes off to stop her. He ends up kicking one of the bullies and confronting another. The theater club head, who had been observing everything while secretly having sex, intervenes and accuses the transfer student and captain of being the bullies.

At a disciplinary hearing, the VP rules that Yuji be expelled and all of 2B be suspended to teach them a lesson. However, the theater club head speaks up. he has a more sadistic plan in mind to punish 2B. In episode 2, the plan is revealed when Yuji finally walks into the homeroom. 2B has to put on a play and outperform the theater club... The captain, who calls him "boss" gives him a book with background information on all 2B students and tells him to get them all to participate. This being a play, he does so by having sex with all the girls and by earning the respect of the boys in their specialties.

The sex scenes are therefore not random. He's going through the names in the book in order, finding the girls in the places they hangout, and having sex with them there. So he finds the library club member in the library after school reading an erotic novel and has her roleplay it with him. He finds the cigarette smoker outside and rescues her from the teacher. The scene with the idol in the homeroom is a little different, and she's a little too eager to have sex with him, but hey, it's a hentai.

At the end of ep 2, he's supposed to win over the rest of the class. We see "to be continued," but obviously the show was cancelled. Probably low viewership in Japan. But we can guess there'd be a few more sex scenes, probably culminating in one between Yuji and the captain after the inevitable 2B victory. And maybe the VP and/or theater club head being caught in scandals for a total 2B vindication. That's typical in many hentais and animes.

Based on what there is, I give the story 7.5/10. There aren't a lot of inconsistencies or mysteries despite the other reviews, but the story is incomplete.

Art is 8/10. There's no censorship as this hentai predates the age of mosaics. Decent detail in backgrounds etc, and the characters are distinguishable.

Characters get 8. The villains are a little too generic but the hero and the girls of 2B have some dimension.

Audio 8. Music was unremarkable to me but not unpleasant. I'll give it 6.

Overall score:7.

Maple Colors is school hentai OVA made in 2004. The series has many problems with random sex scenes that don't make sense how the characters got to having sex in the first place and really this show needed a third episode to clear things up.

Story - 4/10

It's not a bad idea, but it was executed poorly and ends up being very confusing. The show follows Saku Yoshijirou who transfers to a new school and is put into the delinquent class, 2-B. The class has a reputation of being treated like crap by the faculty and other students leading to bullying, vandalism, and near expulsion of ... the students. Yoshijirou gets into a fight on his first day of school trying to protect some of his classmates from bullies and is nearly expelled along with the rest of his class. I really don't know understand what happens exactly with that, but several sex scenes later in the second episode, they decide to make a play. Yoshijirou goes around beating people at their own game (by flukes or cheating) and tries to get them to be a part of the play that he and the other class leader, Aoi, are working on (I think that's the point at least). And that's pretty much the confusing plot.

Art - 3/10

It's really pretty bland (but at least it's not censored). The sex scenes don't having very much detail and the rest of the scenery is just a standard school. Character designs are standard as well. Really nothing to say, the art is just slightly below average everywhere.

Sound - 3/10

The music is boring and pretty easy to miss entirely and the rest of the voice actors are bad, in and out of sex scenes.

Character - 2/10

This show provides almost no development for any character. The girls just get their one sex scene with Yoshijirou (some introduced prior to the scene and some not) and then you pretty much never see them again. The one really good sex scene in the beginning of the second episode is the most confusing. A girl (who I guess was maybe in Class 2-B?) is caught smoking by a teacher. Somehow (shown in a flashback interrupting the good sex scene) Yoshijirou somehow finds her, somehow gets her out of trouble, and then has sex with her. Still the sex scene is pretty great despite the flashback and the girl is hot and wearing a sweatshirt which is just a nice change from the usual green uniform.

The other girls are basically this:
- "Rich girl" who has sex with some "rich guy" who bullies the people in Class 2-B (only sex scene not involving Yoshijirou)
- Slut
- Bookworm who comes after school to the library to masturbate to an erotic novel
- Actress who barely ever comes to school
- Main girl who is kind of left out and might have gotten a sex scene with the MC had this show had a third episode

Oddly enough, the pink haired girl also gets no sex scene and isn't even an important character which is strange for only hentai, but anime in general to demote a pink-haired girl to the supporting cast

Enjoyment - 4/10

I really liked the first sex scene in Episode 2 despite how random it was and the flashback in the middle of it. Other than that, not much really appealed to me. The rest of the sex scenes were mediocre, the voice acting was pretty bad with too much Clannad to enjoy the porn, and the story was poorly executed. It's a fairly average vanilla hentai with the only really big plus being that it's not censored, but still the art wasn't really good enough to make up for it.
