The best Conan movie so far! All the elements came perfectly together
I love how all the different groups like the beika police, kyoto police, marine force, shonen tantei, agasa and heiji all had their important parts in it. Everyone was working together with Conan as the central point.
The new boy they added was very cute too, I cried in the end.

And I thought it was SO COOL how Ran really fought evenly with the enemy. not just the usually 'ow no, Ran got caught again'. she was totally kicking ass!

And the way how she disappeared really seemed impossible to find her this time. Everyone's reaction ...

As expected from a Conan movie: exciting and a very nice treat for conan fans :)
The story was good, and I loved how they incorporated real-life details about the Japanese self-defense force and the Aegis system.

Lovely end song. Art is the usual, but I especially liked how accurately the design of the destroyer was depicted. The movie has a nice, smooth development and many thrilling moments. I thought the ending was slightly exaggerated, but I won't spoil anything. The very last scene was really touching :')

I surprisingly enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Overall, it was a lovely thing that many Conan ...

If you ask which movie is the best in Conan. Of course, my answer would be, without hesitation, Private Eye in the Distant Sea. Dear reader, if you want to know the reason for my choice. Is that I felt a beautiful and warm feeling while I watched it. I cried because I couldn't bear the thought of losing Ran. And I rejoiced from the bottom of my heart that she did not die
Well, this movie has a special story. It touched political aspects of our daily life and touched Japan's national security. And the risks to security, ...

"Ojisan, thank you".. Not everyday we can hear Conan thanking Kogoru but in this movie we definitely did, and it was a great moment♥ Conan's eyes and smile were beautifully made.

Story 9/10:
It was pretty interesting how the scenes shifted between the vacation scenes and the mystery ones and that the focus wasn't just on a certain murder case. I was a bit skeptical about it being a third sea movie but it was pulled gracefully and the story kept drowning me till the end, especially the great collaboration between the cast. On the other hand, as per usual, Conan pulls a Rambo in some ...

Not many of the Detective Conan movies really feel like they're episodes of the same show, but that generally isn't a problem at all. It's a movie, so the stakes have to be higher. But what if one movie managed to combine the big stories of the movies with the general feel and charm of the show? Well my friends, you would have the 17th movie: Private Eye in the Distant Sea.

Story (8/10): Conan and friends are boarding an Aegis Destroyer for a day of fun on the high seas. But, as usual for this group, trouble follows in the form of a severed ...

WELL
First of All despite the intense case that was investigated in this movie, it is a must to mention, what was in the background of this movie. For me personally it was one of the most important aspects in this movie, this is the first time it was shown in Detective Conan movie. I am talking about the Japan's Pride at Sea, the JMSDF - Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. Created in 1952 in order to protect Japan's Territorial Waters, with almost 45 000 Employees, more than 100 Ships and about 300 Aircraft. Big RESPECT for these brave people.
In this Movie we have a serious ...

I went into this movie expecting to hate it. I remember watching it way back with a friend of mine and recalled it being boring, weak and annoying. Watching it today, however, made me realize that despite my negative recollection, this movie is not that bad. I'd even go so far as to say that it's actually one of the better Detective Conan movies I've seen so far.

To start, I'll admit to a certain bias of mine: my Dad is part of the US Coast Guard. As such, seeing things like rescue helicopters and US military ships in a Detective Conan movie feels like ...

Detective Conan Movies Rewatch Before Watching Movie 26: Movie 17

This was one of the lower-rated DC movies and I think it's underrated. Yes, this was unabashedly a propaganda movie, designed to show off Japan's military and police to younger teenagers who came to watch Conan do his thing, but it's executed quite well.

While the mystery aspect of the movie is weaker, it wasn't the movie's focus anyways. This felt more like a spy thriller, with our beloved hero having a showdown with a spy. The investigation part of the movie was well done, and the story was presented well overall, with a coherent, logical timeline, ...

This whole movie is just propaganda for the JMSDF. Every turn they praise how great and wonderful everything is on the ship. Including the food. (Military food ain't that great.) the JMSDF however would like to inform you that they'll allow women on board ships REAL SOON! Even Aegis Destroyers! We promise! To cover up the sexism in the military. Not that you'd want to join the military.

The whole plot of the thing is about spies and military data and how _that_ country is bad. (country not specified.)
Really it takes way too long to find the culprit and there's a LOT of red herrings going ...
