First of All despite the intense case that was investigated in this movie, it is a must to mention, what was in the background of this movie. For me personally it was one of the most important aspects in this movie, this is the first time it was shown in Detective Conan movie. I am talking about the Japan's Pride at Sea, the JMSDF - Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. Created in 1952 in order to protect Japan's Territorial Waters, with almost 45 000 Employees, more than 100 Ships and about 300 Aircraft. Big RESPECT for these brave people.
In this Movie we have a serious Military-Espionage plot, which may be a bit hard to understand for the younger viewers who are the main viewer target group, nonetheless, the intensity of the investigation kind of reminds one of the James Bond Movies. As usual what was supposed to be a nice excursion with the Detective Boys who wanted to sea the state of the Art Destroyer who protects their Homeland, this Trip turned sour after and incident which was followed by another incident. And as it is common Conan is solves the Mystery.
As to be expected from Detective Conan the Art is perfect, the Details of the Aegis Destroyer are just mind blowing, cause it is 100 percent realistic, the character design as well. There is nothing more, that needs to be said about it.
There were many new characters, among the the usual ones, from Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and Kyoto Police, not to Mention Heiji and Kazuha, and Osaka Policemen. Most of the new character were members of the JMSDF.
There was one Particular such character that got my attention. I am talking about Nanami Fujii - A young and pretty but very suspicious and serious Woman. There is more to her, than meets the eye, so keep your attention while watching. Also she is the second character from the DC Movies, who would be a great supporting character in the Main Series, I really wish she would appear there as well.
Just for Notes, the first such character is Curacao from DC movie 20 the darkest Nightmare.
To sum things up. A very good movie, one of the best among other DC Movies, with a serious, intense, and interesting story, outstanding characters. Watching this movie was a a great experience, i really enjoyed it and the Enjoyment was the same when i re-watched it as well. I have seen it about 8 Times.
This movie I recommend, it is a Movie for People of Culture ;)
