I don't mind the time skip as it was necessary. SAO don't have plot error that would throw off the story. I enjoyed SAO lots more than S;G and the fights are epic/badass.
SAO (Deus Ex Machina/Miracle) > S;G (Irrational), hope I'm clear :p

I'm in a bit of an argument with roriconfan at the moment over Psycho-Pass and the nature of reviewing, so let me say that I think you're right. Your arguments made sense to me, and I agree that Makashima exists as an outlier rather than the status quo.
I also agree that the point is to create a dystopia, thus the system has to have inherent flaws. Some might tear down the show by considering these 'plot holes', but they're not - they're aspects of the technology introduced to this sci-fi, in other words, they're what makes this show sci-fi.
Anyway, don't let it get to you. Psycho-Pass is a great show, and I'm glad you seem to enjoy it.

You are telling me the sybil system is meant to collapse because of an exception that happens once in every ten million people and not because it doesn't work for the majority of the population. Down to it the only problem Sybil has is the same that destroys all systems, regardless of how good or bad they are from a moral perspective: They don't have complete information control. Thus the whole show is croc and there is nothing to think about it. Democracy can as easily collapse just because some guy gave guns to all the hobos and the police didn't find out about it.

I'm not saying characters shouldn't die, that's not the point. What I am saying is her death was unnecessary, given that the story wouldn't change so much after that

woah.
my first thought was "WHO HAS ALLOWED THIS ANIME TO EVER COME OUT?"
really. I mean, Tsukune seems to be totally different than he is portrayed in the anime.
I don't know about the story plot though... But you did convince me on adding the manga to my list. I need to update my readings, but I can't find the time. Thanks Kitten!

I stopped at 4 episodes in. The characters got to be a little egocentric for my tastes and the rest is cited in my review. It is a bit of a unique review though, I have a bit of an established perspective on that sort of thing.

Read your review on hitman reborn, it seems you know good execution and plot devolopment when you see it. I have to agree, so far reborn has really not impressed me to say the least.
If you notice reborns reviews on MAL, you will see that most of them that has watch the first 70 or so episodes gave the series a low rating and i do not blame them. But anyone who has watched into the "future arcs" which is like from 80 onwards, you will notice that everyone gave it a 9 at least and in some cases a 10. So my expectations for the future arc is pretty high, i am hoping this series just makes a complete "turn around"
But then after reading your review i am starting to think hey are just rating it highly because the fights become more interesting and it because a more intensive series. In any case for me that is not the highlights for me in a shonen series.
I am not oblivious to the fact that hitman reborn sported one of the worst absolutely horrendous development of characters in the plot at the start of the show. It is what killed the series for me at that time.
Even if the remainder of the series is excellent and i am taking REALLY good, its going to really have to impress me. I still am not going to rate a show a 9 or 10 when execution of the plot was so poorly done.
But i am hoping that i can atlesat give this series a 7, maybe an 8, if it really really turns over a new leaf. Right now i got it as a 5 lol.
Started off as a 4, now a 5.
It is no where near naruto or one piece level though.
Btw i couldn't help but notice on your list that you have not seen One piece yet. I am sure alot of people bother you bout this, but take it from a fan who has seen quite a large variety of anime and genre's. Everything you said in your review bout hitman reborn is pretty much switched around completely in OP.
It has some of the most brilliant character development ive ever seen and the story plot threads that oda writes are very thought out with a larger purpose behind then. Using lots of foreshadowing, you can tell he is a dedicated writer that really thought ahead when writing the story. Some times you just can't help but think how oda comes up with some of these genius concepts used in his developing of characters and the continuation of the overarching story and how past and present events collide in a sort of revelation, its just amazing. the music is also excellent to.
I highly reccomend you check out OP, after the first 2 arcs, it really starts gaining momentum and maintains a very consistent flow the whole way through and thats bout episode 20 or so. You can read my review on my profile if you like. I know some people may be turned off by the fact that its a Very large series, but just to let you know the first half of the series ended already, so if you want a some what mid conclusion to the show, now is a good as time as any to start watching it.
I am usually a very critical reviewer, but i gave one piece a 10 even though some how i think shonens always seem to have faults in anime, shonen cliche's if you will, but i just couldn't help but think the entertainment value of watching OP was like the highest its ever been for series for me. So that being said, i gave it a perfect score. Maybe i am being a little to generous.
But i oblige you to check out up to the arlong arc at least, episode 34 and then tell me what you think, it just might be another addiction for you.

Your response shows your immaturity. If you were my age you would realize how much better it would be if we did not age and get weaker, more frail and mentally less capable as we aged.
You talk about Al being able to transform into anything as being boring. I know something more boring than that - NOT being transform into anything, being stuck in an increasingly weak and frail human form.
Your reaction also reveals that you haven't actually watched DTB at all. Mao actually mentions his emotions in one of the episodes. Go back and watch it before making a fool of yourself.

Also, 50 years into the future Al would still be strong whilst you would be aged and weak.

So what? Sight and hearing are the most important senses. As long as you can see you can read. As long as you can hear you can talk. And Al has the sense of balance too otherwise he wouldn't be able to fight as well as he does.
And you haven't addressed my point about being able to transmute yourself into anything at will. You can become a car or airplane or submarine or ANYTHING! The possibilities are literally infinite.
Actually Contractors do have emotions, they just choose not to act on them. This makes them more interesting and than bland characters who are controlled by their emotions and have predictable reactions to everything (Oh noes, Nina died! Cry cry cry angst angst angst).

>What's so fun in being a walking armor?
The fact that you are practically immortal? I mean, you can transmute your body into anything. I'm sure you can transmute a watertight metal chamber to keep the seal from getting wet inside the helmet or something. The possibilities are endless.
Also he still has the senses of sight, hearing and balance. So it's ok.

Oh btw, I forgot to tell you something about Fate Zero. Just to let you know, there are three "Einzberg Consultation room" specials out that provide some really good background and context to the Holy Grail Wars. They're pretty helpful if you haven't read the Visual Novel. No spoilers either. And they're also pretty damn funny too.
