It's good old-style vibes, but definitely long. I wouldn't recommend starting it in the middle of a semester though. Too easy to procrastinate and push it off to the dreadful on-hold list, xD.

Oh, interesting perspective, I'm actually finding this season to be one of the better ones in recent times.

Akuyaku Reijou Lvl 99 is pretty cool stuff, I agree. Sasaki to Pii-chan started off really well but completely lost steam, imo. And I'm not keeping up with Majo to Yajuu, so no comments on that.

I'm keeping up with about 25+ more shows so there are mixed impressions all round, lol. Some of my favs are Boku no Kokoro Yabai Yatsu S2, Kusuriya Hitorigoto, Sousou no Frieren, Undead Unluck and Solo Levelling.

Yuuko has her hime hairstyle from xxxholic anime and live action version.

I noticed that you're keeping up with quite a few of the seasonal shows, what has been your impression of the season so far?

Generally speaking, the month that I finish a show is the month I "count" it for.

But I really don't like having carryover shows, and that should be enough motivation to finish it on time.

Thank you for taking the time to give me the lowdown. I remember the art-style was distinctive, like with longer than average bodies and legs, but I have no problem with anime having it's own unique interpretation of things like that. If the internet ever temporarily goes down (as it does every now and then) than I'll dig the DVDs out. The MAL rating is quite high and there seems to be a classiness and sophistication to it (the art aesthetics and voices), so I am interested in completing the 1st season. And then I might continue with the 2nd season and the movies/OVAs etc.

I bought the xxxHOLiC DVDs 12 years ago but only watched the first 5 episodes before getting distracted by something else. I did like Yuuko's personalty though. Would you recommend that I continue with the series? What do you like about it/what are its best features for you?
