Start is building up from last season after the Warpurgis and is slowly getting us up to date with different parts of world.

It will build up to good action and more interesting story but it will be full length novel instead of short stories. Would suggest to wait to start watching show till at least 7-8 episodes have passed so that pace gets built.

Animation: Quality animation for isekai shows with good sound tracks.

Story: Story is in starting phase with the characters being ... reintroduced and setting for the season is being made.

Diablo's character is disappointingly flat, lacking the depth needed to truly engage the audience. His relationships with everyone around him are similarly shallow and boring. Shion's only noticeable development seems to revolve around the physical growth of her boobs expanding with each passing season. The rest of the characters pale in comparison, their blandness reaching such depths that discussing them feels utterly useless.

The political aspect, Rimuru thinks he cooking but no. In the case of Rimuru's political maneuvers, there are glaring issues that detract from the narrative's depth and coherence. They attempts to construct a captivating fantasy universe but ultimately falters in its world-building. Moreover, the depiction of the world lacks coherence and internal logic. This inconsistency extends to the rules governing the world's magic system, the dynamics between different races and factions, and the overall structure of society within the fantasy realm.

The humor in the anime feels incredibly dated, as if it's catering to an audience of 90-year-old grandmothers. The jokes come across as forced and awkward, often eliciting more cringes than laughs.
