Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu 2nd Season

Despite a rough start, Makoto Misumi's life in another world takes a positive turn when he meets more demihumans who recognize his presence. Now as the leader of a fast-growing demihuman community, Makoto wishes to make human society more accepting of them and thus builds a business showcasing the demihumans' abilities. To extend his reach further, Makoto enrolls at the Rotsgard Academy to learn magic and expand his business venture there.

Meanwhile, the goddess who summoned and forsaken Makoto had brought two other people to her world shortly after sending him away, making them heroes of their respective nations. Given enough time, Makoto's path will intertwine with both of these heroes, which may cause the world to take a drastic direction.

Season 1 of Tsukimichi was pretty good. It had quite sufficient progress in terms of story and character development, there were lots of things ramping up and it made the 1st Season generally fun. Season 2 in this regard is a let down and while it still has some good moments, overall I feel like 25 episodes are severely lacking in plot department and feel like a major filler for what's to come. On one hand it shows more of the overall world MC resides in, power struggles and Heroes in this world as well, on the other hand the plot itself feels boring, most ... fight scenes are drawn out for no reason... scratch that ALL fights are drawn out like crazy. And there are really no satisfying paybacks of these.

Season 2 as a whole is a weird kinda "school" arc with everything that goes along with it and basically to the very end it remains so. Development of some side characters is while fun to follow, still doesn't feel important for the overall story (at least at this stage). Hero struggles again, while fun are inconsequential for the most part. I guess it's required to get these characters in the story and that is the way it was written, but some of the personalities are what I would call cheesy at best.

There is barely any focus on MC himself and his allies (even if they are on the screen their growth is very small compared to the overall season length), and in most events they are passive, which translates into quite a lot of unnecessary discussions as if who cares really. I enjoyed the part where MC couldn't adequately interact with humans as that made it one of the nice features of the show, but basically it's all gone now and doesn't matter anymore.

I do hope that next season shifts focus from these forced "academy"-like things and moves elsewhere, at the very least we didn't have beach episodes and matsuri, I was low key expecting that.

Yet again I feel like shows like Dan Machi (is it wrong to try to pickup girls...) who have at this point 4.5 seasons and keep expanding and growing strong are out of the ordinary and these ups and downs is what should be expected of a more average shows. Still a decent watch but I wish they raise the bar next time.

Mixed Feelings

This anime got me so frustrated that i felt the need of writing a review for the first time. An isekai with unusual aspects to it. Plot is actually okay. I wouldn't say that it's your usual trash isekai of the season. But i felt as if i was gonna bore myself to death when i was watching it. The plot progresses really really slow. Until the last 5 episodes nothing exciting really happens. I felt like i've watched a season of OVA episodes. I remember that i was bored when watching season 1 too,but this one was a whole new level.

This season was a waste of time!

Nothing is good. Actually there is only ONE good scene with Tomoe and the hero from some place that doesn't matter.
None of the arcs matters. None of the characters matter. None of the subplots matter. Not even the main plot matters.
The first season is very good. But they just got lost in this one.

There is no real storyline. There are some arcs that doesn't matter in the end. The main character doesn't go anywhere or grow as person. He doesn't get worse either. All characters, including the MC, are just there doing something that doesn't matter ... in the end.

Nothing is interesting. Nothing makes much sense. His his business venture and nothing is the same. It doesn't matter not even to MC. Everything is pointless and boring. This season and nothing would be the same. Counting grains of salt would be better than waste time watching this.
