Ofc I remember you, you're like the biggest celebrity on MAL.

>and was quite interestingly written with written with your words of choice
Uh I think you made a typo here, so I'm not sure what you mean.

As for the sequel, I'd say it lacks much of what made Season 1 enjoyable. The red thread of Rin's friendship with the other 3 boys was present right from the beginning. It was then developed and concluded in pretty much a perfectly melodramatic ending. Season 2 lacks a focus while introducing more irrelevant characters, and there's little excitement to be anticipated. Sousuke is fine, but the rest of the new cast (including Ai who only entered the spotlight in S2) is real lackluster.

Anyway, I found S1 to be quite enjoyable while not being brilliant or anything, and S2 to be a big disappointment. I guess I don't need to ask you what you think about S1, since you've got a review on it soon. Are you not going to wait until S2 ends to post a review for both?

Hello Stark, I don't talk to you that often but I have a quick question. Judging by your list you don't drop shows that often. Do you usually complete everything you watch? And would you drop a show after episode 3 even though it would have 24 episodes total?

It's quite interesting, the pompadour of the front guy reminds me of Josuke, I can't really tell if this is a Spin Off based on DIU (years later) or a completely new work, hell, pretty excited anyway.

What site do you use to watch new anime episodes so quickly? Or do you live in Japan?

Which do you prefer more, Yandere or Tsundere girls?

This is so irritating, looks like MAL got hacked AGAIN.

Yea I think she is also unconscious, but I think that's to normal for this anime. I feel like she might have amnesia. I think that would explain why the Aldnoah drive lost power. I wonder what they are going to do with Rayet.

Yea I also think they will meet at the end of the season, but how? Because right now he is with Saazbaum and now we now know he wants revenge on the royals. So I don't think he will let Slaine escape.

Oh wow nice! I'm enjoying Terror in Tokyo and Black Butler: Book of Circus too! :)

Pookykin | 08-30-14, 6:03 PM
Aw really?! Damn -_- I was planning on catching up a few anime lol. Which one is your favorite so far? As in being the top 3 for summer.

Antearion | 08-30-14, 5:39 PM
Yo Stark! I know you seen Aldnoah today. What did you think of that ending!?

Pookykin | 08-30-14, 5:20 PM
Lol, it's fine. I'm used to late comments. Not only that, summer vacation was around, so I barely took the time to use MAL or watch anime at all.

Yeah, you're definitely on point with that. Yeah, I was a bit surprised it was that short. I wish the chapters were a longer. I remember reading around chapter 34, when they planned on suicidal... There was a gap in between the next chapter with a time skip that got me saying wtf? Lol.

Right now I'm finishing up Summer season and a lot of anime caught my interest with Ao Haru Ride being the front runner as well as Barakumon lol.

Good to hear it! I hope you enjoy it if you do go onto read it c:

I don't think I've ever seen a character introduced this well before. It's so ridiculous yet amazing and memorable all in one.

Does the Ippo manga generate the same feel that the adaption gives you? I feel like with fighting works they tend to adapt really well when coupled with fluid animation and some music backing it. It just creates something else entirely and brings well drawn scenes to life. I generally struggle to get any emotional response out of fighting in manga. Aside from the favourites I've mentioned (Breaker, Holyland etc). Is the fighting in Ippo frequent, and on average how many chapters does a fight last do you think? I think i'd lose interest quicker if a single fight lasted a great deal of chapters :B

The ending of Rising was so solid, and them bringing back some of the memorable tracks from the first series worked wonders. I wasn't a big fan of challenger but Rising was definitely a step back in the right direction. I'm a big fan of the coach and his past :3

Also I wrote a Nodame Cantabile review not long ago today and it seems rather well received even if it is overly long(my passion cannot be contained for my favourites!) would you mind giving it a read over and telling me your thoughts, as you seem to write some great reviews c: (Even if it seems we differ greatly on our opinions of some series :P)

Your Mahou Sensou review is my favourite of the bunch, the opening line is so true. I had to drop that show, it was heading nowhere pleasant and the life rafts were running out!

Vexper | 08-30-14, 4:34 PM
I finished Holyland really recently and I must say, It's absolutely incredible. It really leaves a good feeling with you. The character development is absolutely heaped on the main character, the supporting characters are left out a little but by god the main character is a fantastic piece of work. It lacks the great expansive plot that something like The Breaker does, but it does really well with what it goes with. Which isn't exactly mind blowing, great execution and would highly recommend.

I need to read through GTO. I read a tonne of chapters before starting with the anime just so I could get a feel for it because I can go through manga a lot faster then anime and I loved what I saw. With the anime ending being original it makes me want to pick the manga back up so I'll definitely be doing that at some point.

I heard shit went down in the recent Ippo chapter. The fact that the anime will take years upon years to ever get close to catching up(that's even if there's any more sequels) makes me want to read the manga.
