Thanks. Now I’m sad because of the sudden death of Akira sensei..

I really appreciate how you have just joined about 2 months ago but still go and enquire about the well being of our fellow MAL users. Such a great gesture by you. By the way how do you find out about people who are facing some issues in life or struggling in life. I mean do read reviews on old animes or how is there an algoritham which MAL supporters are aware of

Capybara. I wish I could meet one in person. They are so chill.

Hey mate, sorry for not answering your comment earlier but I've read it and I thank you for our concern. Checking on people is something I've used to do while I was active here so thank you, just so you know your comment is being appreciated.
Yeah I'm better, I don't remember what I have posted back then. But you just learn to live with what you've got / what you have been given. Survival instinct is strong after all, we all have affinity for adjusting ourselves to our situation eventually.

NIce to meet you! Many ask me that but tbh we are friends of friends and I briefly went over your profile and liked what I saw so I added you. I do that with many people tbh.

Ah man, that's funny! I've noticed you going around and writing people about their old forum posts.

Well yes, my life is quite good now. I'm not depressed anymore and I'm working a job that doesn't kill me xD It's even fun.
I re-married, too. My mental illness still sometimes kicks my ass hardcore, but I manage better these days.

Hello!

Thank you so much for the kind words. That means a lot that to me! I've been hanging in there, things are still tough for me but I've made steps to better myself and work on myself via trying to eat better, get some more exercise and try to work on mindfulness. For a very long time, I didn't really do anything about my depression or anxiety, and when I made that comment I don't think I still fully understood myself and how I thought of things.

I've been trapped in a very vicious and negative cycle of self-loathing and anger at myself and the world, I reached some very low points and even to this day I still struggle with a lot of mental turmoil and feelings of anger and bitterness, which would then move on to feelings of shame and regret. I learned a lot about myself this last year or so, I've been doing therapy for over a year now and it's helped, but I have a long way to go still.

It's never too late to get help and work on yourself. I wasted my 20s and I'm trying to make up for it now that I'm in my 30s.

MAL is a site that I only use to log my stuff now. Part of my misery back then was trying to pick fights against people in the forums and it wasn't worth the stress and anger that it gave me.

Hope you're doing okay as well in your personal life.

Thanks for the thought, my life changed a lot the past years, I moved to Norway to be with a woman, all fine until my heart stopped and I died a few times, but someone obviously wants me to live, I’m all empty now, not happy, not sad, nothing at all. I hope you have a better life .
Moog Feb 26, 7:50 AM
Likewise. 🙏
Moog Feb 26, 4:30 AM
Alas, my metamorphosis is taking ah... longer than initially expected. Ask me again in another 10 years.

Hope you have a great day as well, mortal--I mean, fellow MyAnimeList user.
LoveLikeBlood Feb 26, 3:54 AM
Oh wow, I'd completely forgotten that I'd posted about that. I really have been using this site for a whole, damn.

But thanks for checking in. You're a good dude.

Unfortunately, we've been conditioned to see ourselves as little more than wild beasts that need to be controlled at all times, to be distrustful and fearful, to see one another as a potential danger as opposed to unique manifestations of nature capable of so much wonder and beauty. We've also been led to believe that the only reason we don't rip each other to pieces is because there exists a guardian of humanity against chaos which is free from the bondage of morality and so may do things that ordinary human beings not blessed by it are not permitted to do, and that its actions are necessary to defend us, however horrendous.

Well said. Every single day, we go through voluntary exchanges, completely spontaneously, without any kind of guidance or planning from any authority figure. It's when there is a higher concentration of power and planning where this harmony gets corrupted.

I haven't seen K-On, but from what little I've seen of it, I can't imagine how it would be a political series. Now I'm curious to watch it to see if I can figure it out :-D

There's a mantra in Marxist thought that "all art is political" and it involves knotting themselves in a loop in order to try and justify why they can inject political perspectives into literally any form of art, even if it doesn't make sense, or wasn't it's original intent. The guy couldn't even properly explain anything political, so it's all just bullshit in my view.

I highly recommend it. It's a bit long (perhaps longer than it needs to be), but it's genuinely an enjoyable journey all the way through.

It was one of the first shows that I heard of, but never watched it, simply due to being so young and not understanding the appeal of that type of series. This was even before Death Note, I think, so I think I was moreso looking for your typical action fare. I'd probably be able to appreciate it better as an adult. I'll add it to my list, though, I've been kind of slouching when it comes to anime lately. I've mostly been gaming more than anything.
LoneWolf Feb 25, 3:42 PM
Thanks brother, still hanging in there somehow.
