Will be resetting my list soon, as have been feeling like my taste in anime has changed a lot recently...
My job: being an over worked and under paid otaku
Will give every anime a try, but only will add in on MAL if the anime leaves an impression on me.
Yu Yu Hakusho and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is my most favourite anime, othough MAL doesn't count it as anime, so according to MAL my most favourite anime is Yu Yu Hakusho.
Chainsaw Man
Chainsaw Man is my most favorite manga currently, it is an amazing story!
Media I think should be considered anime and more.
Here are shows that I consider anime but MAL doesn't, if Donghua can be considered anime then IMO so should these!
RWBY 10/10 it's first 3 seasons are made by a japanese person!
Avatar the Last Airbender 10/10, Avatar the Legend of Korra 8/10 Avatar was made by Studio MIR and Pierrot which are Japanese studios, and also Moi animation, a studio made in Korea, that worked with Madhouse!
Astro Boy film, 10/10 While I don't necessarily think this should be considered anime, it did start out as an anime, so I felt like rating it here!
My Daemon 10/10 a co op from Thailand and Japan, i reckon it should be a donghua at the most tho, it reminded me of Pokemon and Ajin combined!
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off 10/10 it is made by Science Saru! Also a Japanese studio!

without watching ngl, I found myself immersed, trying to imagine the whole stories from the bits u shared. Felt like a fun activity. But was a little fatiguing as well.
^ as mentioned above, I felt really displeased simply by reading when I read about the rival thing in S4 that you mentioned. These sort of force tactics have been common and all in all sorts of media and its a real shame. Best of luck with the original. I do have a question, I felt a bit confused when you mentioned that the new mildred looks like the old one but with more red hair instead of brown. Did the actors really have that similar of a face? or did I get that wrong.
I may also re watch the underworld movie franchise. But that is for later. For now, until the end of the year, I have decided to limit myself from live action as much as I can.
About Shameless, thank you for the insights. Though hearing it, despite being a little interesting, I doubt I will ever give it a shot.
Bio Ren is a Chinese anime, I am yet to start it, I was finishing Black Rock Shooter (BRS) and i went in with zero expectations, hoping to drop it but to my surprise, it blew me away. They have a very intriguing concept, interesting characters and a whole lot of emotional and psychological drama that was done nice. So I guess its the case of 'Not to judge a book by its cover" glad I gave it a shot. Although I realize that the said cannot be said about the 2022 version. The one made in 2012 seems to be the decent one despite having a low mean score which would make it an underrated gem. Anime had a vibe back then and I think it delivers justice.
I also started Goblin Slayer upon the request of a friend.
As for dead mount, it was fairly interesting to say I guess. Plenty of loop holes and definitely the weakest of Narita's works, but still nice enough for a 6.
I recently bought crunchyroll. I do not have access to the full library cause of my country, but, Im debating if i should use VPN or not.
which really sticks I say quickly but ALO's breathing problems like Darth Vader, Gran Torino by his size and teaching, and so if we follow Deku son of ALO end personally I'd find it crazy like during the final battle Deku vs ALO he learns it's his father + reaction of All might and all the others ;0;
I'm not sure if there's an order, I know there are 2 seasons it seems. But I don't watch the old version I watch the 2016 version. I watch my anime on "voiranime" it's a site where you can watch in Vostfr and in French, I have others but it works pretty well so I almost only use it and there are almost all the anime every time I look for them for now they were there. The scenes in berserk are a bit violent, let's say a lot of blood etc... I'm just starting out but so far it doesn't bother me that much, which surprised me. I'm surprised by the animation etc... and the story, I didn't think I'd get hooked at all, plus sometimes it's violent. But the story is really super interesting, so much so that it's making me watch the episodes over and over again. I started at the end of the afternoon and I've already seen almost half of the first season.
The monogatary series I know I started Bakemonogatari but I didn't get hooked, I'll try some more but the story, I wasn't into it, I had to see 3 episodes.
Hayao Miyazaki's films are incredible. Last year we had a gentleman come and do an "exhibition", let's put it that way, to talk to us about the films. The one I knew as a child is Castle in the Sky, which is my favorite. I saw it again a few days ago, and the music is incredible. As for favorite films, I haven't seen too many, but I'd say I want to eat your pancreas, which is sad, beautiful and magnificent, and the one I saw again not long ago, koe no katachi, which is also very beautiful and made me cry x). And of the anime I don't really watch their "derivatives" the films etc.. But now I'm trying with one piece, ft, etc..
I don't know why, but the Code Geass opening hurts every time I hear it, but I'd still give it a try and see if I like the anime or not. I'm thinking of trying them but not just yet, I'll put them on my list for now.
My favorite genres would be comedy, adventure, romance, slice-of-life, fantasy, school life, sports, some horror and generally anime that manage to make me feel emotions, such as the recent Koe no katachi, which are quite high, especially in terms of ratings.
I also really like the anime Food wars the kitchen fights the more it goes the more stressful they are etc... incredible and the dishes they make a beauty for the eyes, it makes you want to eat xD. And the animation is really beautiful.
You've got yuu yuu hakusho in your favorites, I remember the first time I saw this character he reminded me so much of gon in HxH but the other character with the black hair reminded me so much of killua. I don't know if it's the same mangaka but they really look alike. Do you have any favorite anime movies?
I don't watch a lot of mecha I generally prefer animation from 2014, 2015 or so. But some old anime I really like the classics but a few months ago I already thought I'd never watch it, but I've started Detective Conan I'm only at the beginning but I really like it I think it's already one of my favorites I like the fact that each episode is a new investigation, puzzles so there's no time to get bored like for example when one piece I was at the dressrosa arc the arc is very long it seems like 120 episodes or so. I like it, but I have to take breaks to get back into it, which also means an emotional break xD it's so incredible.
But in PTW there isn't everything, there were animes on my list that weren't on MAL, some not really well known, I don't have any examples, but now everything I'm looking for they're almost all there.
I went to see some images to see what it was like, but yes, even the final images with the actors really look like they've done the same thing as with Harry Potter, almost a copy-paste. How many seasons is this series?
Yes, most of the anime I'm currently watching are ones I've already seen and others where it's really my first time. I don't really watch any series apart from the "classics" that used to be on TV. What's your series about? And what are your favorite anime genres?
Shameless sounded and looked to me like some sort of deep elitist psychological series but appears not. What made you like it though ?
Underworld... I was about to say that it is the first time I have even heard of it but then i decided to search it up and oh boy. I have watched it. How can I forget the film that showed Silver was cancerous to Lycans. I dont remeber much of the lore except those badass silver bullets and guns lol. I watched it way too long ago but i remember loving them at that time. I dont remember the sex scene tho. Possibly cause I was a kid and used to skip those scenes. Altho I dont remember skipping them either for this particular example.
I decided to watch some old shows and finish dead count. Narita's writing style has always amused me so im enjoying it alot. I may start bio ren soon along with black rock shooter. Have you seen them ?
oh, and grimm variation was that show. I saw it appeared on netflix. Was not aware that there was a live action version tho. Keep me updated for later. We lost our netflix subscription and we are debating if we should get one again (we were password sharing lol)
As for the worst witch....seems to me like a feminist troupe for harry potter fans. Does it feel unoriginal or does it actually have something to offer that may have it stand out ?
From the way you spoke of MT s2, hmmm, seems like an issue, but i guess i will have to see for myself. Altho, its going to be a while that i do that.
And then I have to admit that when I log on and I see barely fifty or so finished anime and over 1,000 to watch, I'm a long way from that, so it's better all the same, and then when I've finished all the ones I can currently finish, especially the best-known ones, then I'll start watching the lesser-known ones.
Sex scenes in a movie revolving about the topic of sex justifies the pretext. But scenes inserted just to trap audiences (they always show one sex scene clip in trailers these days just to bait people into feeling mature) just feel unfair to the story. Similar to how i notice this rising trend of seeing gay couples in stories that have nothing to do about love, homosexuality or anything in general. Its like, to please a group, they compromise the flow of their own story. As a creator, that is not something i can respect. As for horror movies, I think they do that because they know couples like to watch them and that too at night so maybe, just a hunch.
I have not watched the series you mentioned but hmmm, from what i can make sense off, the character writing did not feel human enough. An issue I had in steins gate 0 and tbh many other shows but ye. As for gore and nudity, while I do not mind them, Im not fond of them either. Especially if its only done as a gimmick to get views.
As for Grandpa and Grandma, they explain the apple and the getting young phenomenon a bit more in ep 3 i think. But my main issue is the fact that it legit feels like a 4koma manga adaptation. I am not sure if the manga was a 4koma or not but ... the anime should have been a bit more streamlined. It feels so brazen in its pacing. Like you said, rushed. The characters are not being given the time they deserve. and heck, there have hardly been proper moments between the couple. I was under the imprression they will like young peeps but what they are doing rn is no different from when they were old. Perhaps they may do so later but I was expecting a more cliche approach to the story unlike this weird mess that i do not know how to feel about. I enjoyed moments, but ... it still hurts me. Perhaps im biased here.
And ahhh, i was noticing this too, the delinquent culture is coming back, no thanks to TR i guess. Wind Breaker opening was beautiful. Have not yet started the anime. Will do so soon. And see, mysterious dissapearances feels weak.
btw, i started salad bowl, the animation is suprisngly good, wonder how did they get the budget for that show. I also started level 2 chillin isekai. The heroine is cute af, but its your run of the mill isekai copy pasta with op mc.
Grimm variations, hmmm, havent heard of this,
let me know if its worth looking into.
Also, the way they air MT, is exactly why i never started MT to begin with. It would have taken a dab at my flow to enjoy the story. As a rival to re zero, i have high hopes of it. But ima watch it later down the years.
Tho tell me, isnt being dialogue oreinted a good thing especially if its heavy ?
