Watching anime is my hobby, I used to watch full length completed anime however currently I am just following seasonal shows for the most part.

Since people asked, here is how I rate things.
I treat 7 like an average score and I am only willing to go up 3 or down 3 points from that average score. I have never given an anime under a 4 score if I have finished it, anything that manages to draw my attention until completion deserves at least a 4 since there was something about it that convinced me to finish it.
Actual breakdown of what it takes to get a specific score
10: This anime has all the characteristics of a 9 with no notable flaws and it has genuinely impacted my life or my viewpoints in some sort of significant way. This score also requires that a show either be complete or the ending is good enough to consider it complete, for example HxH 2011 where the manga continues but the end point of the anime is enough to enjoy the series stand alone.
9: Must be a masterclass in its specific genre or category, I do not necessarily expect top tier visuals for a slice of life series or a perfect cast in a an action anime, but everything important related to the specific genre the show covers must be done perfectly. The show should be good enough that people who are not even interested in the specific genre may be willing to make an exception for it. In addition at least half the following criteria must be met, near perfect art or animation, exceptional storyline either in execution or originality, relatable and lovable cast, excellent world building which includes fictional history / species / power systems, memorable soundtrack worth putting in a playlist and the dialogue or narration should be interesting
8: This anime is a very strong series in its specific category, anyone who likes this category would probably enjoy this anime, it meets the minimum requirements for production value and other important elements of a series and at the very least excels at one element be it story, music, art, cast or anything else that strongly influences enjoyment from the series
7: This anime meets the bare minimum requirements for production, story execution, music and cast for its specific category. This anime would be watchable by someone who likes the specific type of series the show falls under, however it would not be recommended to those who are not interested in the specific genre or demographic. Some exceptionally good 7 rated shows definitely exist on my list that I keep at a 7 due to glaring flaws in one aspect of its production. For example Inuyasha is a 7 on my list due to poor pacing, despite it being a solid shoujo oriented isekai.
6: This anime does not meet the bare minimum requirements in some important aspect of production value. It would not be recommended to anyone, even fans of the specific genre the show falls under. It can still be watched and enjoyed by some, but the majority of people who watched this anime would probably consider it bad. Exceptions for a 6 rating include if I personally hate the story, the morals or values the show portrays, or if the show falls under the ecchi category and is exceptionally trashy.
5: The anime does not meet any of the bare minimum requirements in terms of production quality for its specific genre. Usually reserved for horribly paced LN adapts, this score dictates that I consider the show to be hot garbage and I struggle to have completed it.
4: This is my lowest rating, if an anime gets this rating it means that not only does it meet every requirement of a 5 but this anime made me actually hate it in a way that is memorable, reminding me of a series I gave a 4 to may prompt a rant.
Hey sorry for the late reply, I'm very much looking forward to it. I wasn't a fan of Rebellion but the new movie could fix my problems with it but yeah you can say I'm cautiously optimistic. It depends on how it's going to end I suppose. How about you?
Hey. I'm really enjoying Frieren and Dr. Stone still. Undead Unluck also had a very fun premiere, but I'm not sure where it'll go. Still need to watch the second episode. What about you?
Can't speak for the adaptation since I haven't watched it, but the manga is very, very entertaining. I initially dropped it after a chapter or two before picking it up a second time and really getting into it. Early chapters where Rentarou's Family is limited to a handful of girls definitely have a different feel than recent chapters, but the charm is somehow still there even now with 26 girlfriends. It's a stroke of genius, really; by introducing one girl at a time, author Rikito Nakamura allows everyone (including the audience) to settle in with the new face before adding another one. He even leaves several chapters in between each new addition, further cementing new girls into the group before someone else shakes up the dynamic.
The bread and butter of 100 Girlfriends is the ensemble cast and their interactions with each other. I'm not joking when I say 100 Girlfriends is a better version of Komi-san. We frequently get chapters dedicated to 1-3 girlfriends doing slice of life stuff together to further develop characters that would have been shelved by now in any other series. Every character has their quirks, their talents, their role to fill when the need arises. We're a quarter into the series, and I haven't really witnessed overlap between character archetypes. There are a few girlfriends that are kind of out there (like the girl with a numbers fetish whose entire purpose was a pun), but overall, I'm quite happy with the cast and am always anticipating what this dude will dream up next.
I've honestly been dreading an anime since a lot of the jokes are 4th wall and self-referential, like characters reading the 100 Girlfriends manga in-universe. Not sure how the studio will translate those jokes. There's also the bigger issue of age gaps between Rentarou and some of his girlfriends; mark my words, Twitter kiddies are NOT gonna like Chiyo or Yaku. And the artist for the series, Yukiko Nozawa, who pumps out phenomenal work on a weekly or biweekly basis isn't gonna get any street cred from the anime despite being the fucking engine that keeps this manga running (except when characters 4th wall break to thank her for her efforts).
It's become a staple among my favorites. I've actually reread 100 Girlfriends, which isn't something I do with manga that often. If you like stuff like Grand Blue or even Komi-san, you'll definitely love this one.
