xxNanaki , yes, he really did. I can say even more: when you watch Inuyasha right after watching Ranma (I mean the whole series, not just randomly), you can hear that it's the same voice that just grew older through 10 years.
But when I heard L in Death note, I just culdn't beleive my ears - I didn't recognize him at all. And his tone in voice for L is just... making me speechlessly and delightfully impressed ^^
