Webtoon portal Comico announced on Saturday that Rin Kokuyou's romantic comedy manga Net-juu no Susume (Recovery of an MMO Junkie) has officially ended its serialization due to the author's poor health. The series has been on hiatus since July 2015.

The manga began its serialization in October 2013 as one of Comico's first series on the app's debut. Kadokawa released the first compiled manga volume on February 14, 2015 under the MFC Comico imprint, followed by the second in July of the same year. Prior to the manga's hiatus, Kokuyou released 87 chapters.

Studio Signal. MD adapted the manga series as a 10-episode TV anime series that aired from October to December 2017. A two-part unaired 11th episode was also bundled with the anime's BD release that shipped on December 8 last year.

This is truly one of the saddest media news I had ever heard, it was such a good manga/anime. Not to mention we desperately need more quality anime/manga with adult characters.

That's such a pity, and the author's twt acc doesn't seem to exist anymore, either. What a pity, I liked the premise so far.

Does anyone know where to read more of the manga than 37 chapters? Does it end very abruptly? Or is it still worth the read?

To be honest, I was really looking forward to the continuation of this series.

This really sucks. Have been really loving this series and now seeing that it has been discontinued is just so sad... I still have faint hope that the author will maybe revive the series if the health condition gets better again, but well, chances are probably rather slim :/

That''s a shame. I vaguely recall hearing about the hiatus before. Seems odd that it actually got an anime while it was already two years into it.

This is so sad considering how great the anime was. I hope the author gets well soon.

That's a shame, I really enjoyed the anime, definitely one of the better romantic comedies out there; regardless of whether or not the author plans on continuing it in the future hopefully their health improves.

So this means no actual ending?
Did the manga go further than the anime?
I wonder if it is still worth to read...

Kinda figured it would lead to this. The hiatus was kinda killing things as it is and the poor author couldn't really go back to it what with her health. I wish her the best of luck wherever she decides to go.

Pity, after the anime I always though it would be nice to see a possible sequel for this one, not going to happen now...
