I wonder if Overlord and Baccano's increased prices due to them being printed in hardcover turned people off

bought the first 4 volumes of OPM
super bummed that the really detailed/flipbook-esque scenes were omitted, those are some of my favourites

hopefully I can get my hands on Noragami soon.
two months till haikyuu!! vol. 1!!

Oh nice. I didn't realise Yotsuba Volume 13 was coming out. Really enjoyed it up to now, so I'll put my preorder in now.

so it's the author! but I didn't understand his reasons! so he was like disappointed with dioh's anime adaption so he don't want Yotsuba to be anime too? or he thinks that the anime will not deliver the idea of this manga? *sigh*

He thinks the style of the manga wouldn't translate well into the anime. His reasoning is really clear.

I see, even though I still think these kind of slice of life stories would make a good anime xD

I assume because of what @popolipo is saying above my first post, but there's also an article on ANN saying otherwise. I heard of rumors about the mangaka not wanting an adaptation before, but although the manga is fairly high on my to-buy list I haven't started reading it yet so I can't say I'm familiar with the rumors or official news around it.

US manga sales are not relevant lol. If any manga sales outside of Japan would matter in the slightest it would be France.

From what I've read, because the author wouldn't approve of such a thing.

It's really nice to see Yotsuba at the top of the list. I'm surprised that Baccano didn't make it though considering how popular the anime is in the states. I got both Baccano and the new Yotsuba this week.

Well the last "new" volume came out way back in 2013 stateside that being volume 12. So it would be hard to tell if it did well in the west because the volumes come out so infrequently at this point in time.
