BL Manga 'Junjou Romantica' Gets New OVA

Kadokawa has opened pre-orders for a premium edition of the 20th volume of the Junjou Romantica manga, which will bundle an anime DVD. Pre-orders will be accepted through October 4, 2015, and the set will be released on December 1, 2015.

The following cast members will reprise their roles from previous anime adaptations.

Misaki Takahashi: Takahiro Sakurai
Akihiko Usami: Hikaru Hanada
Hiroki Kamijou: Kentarou Itou
Nowaki Kusama: Nobutoshi Canna
Shinobu Takatsuki: Daisuke Kishio
You Miyagi: Kazuhiko Inoue
Ryuuichirou Isaka: Toshiyuki Morikawa
Kaoru Asahina: Ryotaro Okiayu

Junjou Romantica, written and illustrated by Shungiku Nakamura, previously received an OVA with the 16th volume of the manga in 2012. Two TV anime series aired in 2008, and a third series will begin airing on July 9, 2015.

Same (ish)! I thought I liked Sekaiichi Hatsukoi more but I like how Junjou Romantica just has more so it slowly became my favorite. I hope they come out with more Sekaiichi Hatsukoi though. :-)

Yay for more Junjou, but I really think that someone should attempt to create more yaoi anime from manga that wasn't the author of Junjou, Sekaiichi and Hybrid Child because it feels like they're playing it safe with her. I mean, each series is amazing and I love them to bits, there's still so much more manga out there that deserves adaptations. And when they do create more yaoi anime, it's merely an OVA, or a bunch of two minute episodes (looking at you Ame-Iro Cocoa).

Don't get me wrong, I'll watch the hell out of Junjou, Sekaiichi and Hybrid Child, but there's more than just those three.

Ah, so this is why the Junjou Romantica OVA appeared back on my watching...

I'm indifferent to this news. It probably won't include anything important or anything worthwhile watching. It'll just be a way to kill half an hour.

You answered your own question. Volume 20 is not yet published and will be out in December. The premium edition of that release bundles the DVD.

There is Super lovers! XD and there is a movie as well "Doukyuusei"

Plus they will get to much money from Junjou Romantica, you know right. I know your feeling, I want my favorite BL to get animated as well. I want Ten count, Seven days, No touching at all, Twittering Birds Never Fly, Even So, I Will Love You Tenderly, and much more but when can't do anything. Imagine your favorite manga got animated, you will be happy right. But then think about it, if it not selling well, what will happen? They will lose a much of money, we will not support the mangaka (by purchasing her manga) and much more. Before this, you should know why our favorite manga is not getting animated. Hope you understand me like how I do. :)

Btw, everyone no need to get angry. It's just an OVA for 20 minutes XD
