Excellent, more stereotypical garbage.
Just what the anime world needs. //sarcasm

I don't even read that much BL and I can easily name a few. Seven Days is a good entry point that completely avoids any seme/uke dynamic, has way better art and characters than most of Nakamura's stuff and doesn't overstay its welcome. Hana no Mizu Shiro by the same illustrator is also nice. Yamamoto Kotetsuko's recent works are a lot of fun, you can start off with Honto Yajuu. Hayakawa Nojiko's works are really gorgeous and unfortunately too short but still worth checking out. Although I am not personally too familiar with them, I hear that Rutta to Kodama and Yoneda Kou's stuff is good too.
None of these are literary masterpieces really, but I would consider them far superior to KSB and JR.
I don't think there are any good BL anime really, the only contenders would probably be upcoming Love Stage and Yokozawa Takafumi no Baai movie (surprisingly enough).

Oh great. Sucks to be a fujoshi. When was the last time they got something good?

Free!, KnB, Tiger & Bunny, K project, Magi, etc.

I'm not a fujoshi but the fujoshi I know seem to enjoy these in their own fujoshi way.

I think maybe you meant to say "BL fans".

Yeah, I meant the real shounen ai stuff. Most of the stuff they adapt is pretty much garbage. It's as if the authors have zero experience with relationships. I mean it's certain that Junjou's author never had a relationship. Otherwise the show wouldn't be so awkward and silly.

I'm wondering what mangas/animes people are talking about when they say there is 'so much better BL available'. Gravitation? Ogane ka nai? That weirdo pedophile and child thing? I understand that I might be quite left behind, for the newest thing I've seen in BL is the second ova of Koisuru Boukun, but boy oh boy, how can you rate JR so low? Yeah it's repetitive but so what. Aren't yaois always about unwilling ukes and dominant and somewhat quiet semes? ''uhn ahn no please don't'' - Every Single Uke That Has Ever Existed.

But I've enjoeyd Koisuru Boukun and Junjou Romantica, and I hated gravitation and ogane ka nai and all that shit that, so PLEASE do tell me about the awesome BL that does exist. And yeah I seriously had to make an acconut just for this because I'm tired of all the bitchy comments. JR fans have waited this for ages and many have given up hope of a new season ever existing, so this is good news.

Unrelated: it's like hearing that pandora hearts would have another season. And just to inform I do enjoy BL and anime and manga. I just haven't been that in the scene for the past two years.

AND BIG THANKS FOR NEW JUNJOU ROMANTICA ANIME, woot woot!

Lol why are people that DON'T like yaoi even posting in this topic.

New Junjou was bound to happen because the manga has enough material for TWO more seasons at this point.

I'm happy as all hell. I need my fill of Junjou over Hatsukoi and it's been a while since a new chapter was released.

Everyone needs to quit bitching and be greatful we're getting more yaoi in general. Yeah more shows other than JR and SH need to be animated, but it's popular.

As if DBZ hasn't been milked to death, and One Piece and Naruto aren't ending anytime soon and you don't see people whining about those.
Oh shut up, please. People have EVERY right to post in this topic as you do. Most people here don't even SAY they don't like BL, they just don't like stupid melodramatic rape = love stories, which Im sure they would hate even if it was hetero.

No, people aren't going to quit bitching and "be grateful" for something that they don't like. You're honestly going to need to learn to suck it up and realize that not everyone is going to comment positively on something that YOU like. That's just how it is. We all have our right to express our opinions just as much as you do.

Melodramatic rape? Please. I'd adore to know where in JR there is rape, IF you've bothered to read/watch any of it, which clearly you haven't since you're shaming something like this. If any characters through the series didn't want it, then it would be rape. So shut your mouth when you don't understand what you're talking about.

But there are also other BL manga that sell very well; these two aren't the only ones. Long running manga like Honto Yajuu and some others have more than enough material for an anime. Plus there are also games that could be adapted. DRAMATICAL Murder is extremely popular right now.

The thing is, nothing will happen unless you take a risk. They took a risk by animating the first Nakamura manga, so why can't they take a risk and animate something else? I mean, it's not like it's being reckless. They can take a calculated risk and animate another popular BL game/novel/manga.

True, but most other BLs that do make it into the sales rankings are usually 20-50k, and nakamura's is probably the most popular BL author that nearly every BL fangirl buys her works, her mangas usually sell 100k+ and her stories are in multiple volumes (90% BL's are oneshot stories/1 volume stories), that's why the studios feel a bit safe animating them, niche genres such as BL and a few others are usually considered risky to market, and not many studios and seiyuus feel comfortable in being involved with a BL animation, but i understand the fan's frustration with the same thing being animated over and over, there are decent BL mangas such as seven days for example, that deserve an adaption at least.

as for Dramatical murder, thing is, that's a Visual Novel, only the most popular VN's get some consideration for adaption, Dramatical Murder is surely popular for a BL VN, but Nitro chiral's BL VN's are popular by default, and their only VN that got adapted was Togainu no Chi and it bombed, that along with the fact that BL visual novels sell significantly less than their manga counterpart, the top selling BL VN i've seen was Togainu no chi PSP version with 20k sales. my point is, in manga, authors have usually the freedom to draw whatever they want, while in most other formats they have to consider the content, the audiences, etc.

all in all, trust me i understand your frustration, but the only reason they're animating Nakamura's BL mangas is that they're the top selling BL mangas, Nakamura is one of the most popular BL mangakas, and JR and ShK are easy to adapt, that's why studios usually go for these when they plan to market to the BL audience, and as for VN's, like i said only the really most popular Visual novels are prone to getting an adaption, and so far Dramatical Murder's sales and rankings in various sites (Amazon, Getchu, Toranoana, Animate, etc) aren't that solid, last time i checked Dramatical murder was topped by at least 7 or so VN's and surprisingly some of them are hardcore Nukige hentai, and the top one's usually those moe eroges or whatever these otaku are into nowadays.

Wasted budget. Does it have to be JR? Seems like the producers aren't willing to take risks.
