Sentai Filmworks Acquires Mardock Scramble

According to their official press release, Sentai Filmworks has announced their license of Mardock Scramble, the movie trilogy whose second film will premiere this September.

Sentai Filmworks will release the first film, Mardock Scramble: The First Compression, with both English subs and dubs on DVD this September. Also mentioned was a planned Blu-Ray version for 2012.

I love all the shows that you mentioned but I'm sure that Mardock is pretty decent.

I'm looking forward to it, as I'm a fan of Megumi Hayashibara who voices the lead character. Thanks Sentai for licensing this anime!

inb4 people complaining about the English dub track they're not being made to listen to.

I'm surprised FUNi and Bandai didn't jump on this.

Hmm... This is a rather interesting license, but I haven't really heard much hype around this anime (although I have been waiting for some subs for it), and cyberpunk isn't exactly a "safe" genre sales-wise, especially with so many egg puns which make it harder to take seriously, so they might end up with egg on their face.
