| NO NO hype. Fucking hell. Just 3 eps into Koukaku Kidoutai STAND ALONE COMPLEX, and BIG disappointment how they fucked up Motoko compared to the movie. And by movie, obviously 1995. PIG really likes to fuck things up with their CG/3D shit. They should learn and start using it only on vehicles and other environment. Looking forward to this being a whole new different story. |

Wait! This can't be good. I don't want to see my Ghost in the Shell with those silly style stick figures. Please leave the desighn style as it was in SAC, is was absolutely awesome. From that small pic Motoko already looks more shiny and childish than before and i don't like that prospect. For the scrip i have no complains with Ubukata. The guy did the Mardock Scramble movies and i love those. So is not gonna be a continuation of SAC? I hope is not just a movie. Anyway as a big Ghost in the Shell fan i am gonna be happy for now. I would be throwing a party if i wasn't so worry about the character desighn and that director. |

Seriously I don't know what to make from this news. One of my favorite franchises in anime, but WTF happen to Motoko? Her "new" design looks like shit. I just hope Section 9 doesn't end up being a bishōnen group. |

I thought so too, but you are thinking about this from the in-world perspective. I'm talking about the character designers. I somehow doubt they would make her look younger for a sequel. Technically the major isn't a woman either. That doesn't mean they would make her a man in this version. I could be wrong, obviously. That was just the first thing that came to mind when I saw that picture. |

| I'm not really feeling Motoko's new character design and I'm kind of disappointed that this isn't SAC3 but at least we get something. I really hope they at least keep the same VAs. |

| It's stupid to assume that the new show will be a sequel or a prequel, since Gits universe has alternate settings in itself . It' more than likely that this will take place in a different setting from the movies and the series. Anyway,it's good to see Motoko again. |
