| Let's nitpick first: Right before worm pulled uvo underground, the punch by Uvo that landed on worm took out 1 eye and a handful of teeth, and they censored it :/ Oh well not a problem The rest of the episode was pure win xD The bullet, the scream, the BIG BANG IMPACT (I love the font they used for the screen name). 5/5 and even more |

The directing, the pacing, the animation (the 2011 is technically better, but flash animation is flash animation), the art, the atmosphere and mood, the color palette, the voice casting and acting, the dialogue. Just. EVERYTHING. Even senritsu's flute solo was better in the original. Everything looks like a joke and is animated like a joke, aimed for children or not, with fun gameshow giant kanji. I did not even have a shred of care for Kurapica's revenge or his emotions at the end of this episode. They may be trying to tell the same story, but if I had watched the 2011 version first, I would've dropped it a long time ago. It's the feelings and associations from the old show that keep the new one bearable. If you haven't seen the old show, I suggest you do that first. It's literally 100x better. I'm just waiting to see what happens since the 2011 show will go beyond what the old one covered. I have no idea why they even bothered to animate from the beginning when the old one did it 100x better and the stuff they cover is identical. They should've just rebroadcast the old one and made a new show starting from where the OVAs left off. At least FMA had a reason to start from the beginning since so much of the old show was not canon. They at least got most of the main cast back too. Beyond a few fillers which were awesome in the old show, the 2011 Hunter X Hunter is identical in the material covered, done super poorly in comparison if I haven't made that point clear enough. Rant Rant new show sux. Rant Rant. Get to the new stuff already. Rant. OMG that clown music is the worst music I've heard in an anime yet. Off the top of my head. Indeed, great atmosphere, color pallete, and it targets adults. Your argument is very very valid. I mean just look at Killua's killer face in the old version. |

| This anime is all brutal and gross. The hole in the guys skull from the piece of skull, or just biting the one dude's part of his head off! ouch. Big Nen Explosion is one of the best moves. |

| Yeah people need to stop bringing up the 1999 as some sort of source material for the 2011 version. They're 2 seperate animes like Crandor pointed out. Learn to appreciate HxH as a whole and not by the 2 adaptations...Anyways I watched the episode for the second time and somehow it was 10x better... Can't wait... theres gonna be cliffhangers left and right in this arc... lol |

| @Mikasa I actually like the old Killua's killer face more than the new one though...the new one is way over the top. The other one does less but delivers the same impact, noone was in doubt what he was thinking when he saw that face back then. The new one really needs to scream out "look I'm making a killer face" to catch attention. Atleast that's how I see it. |
