Well
There was a time that i had the existencial conflict of "I'm 23 and still watching anime?"
But it only lasted for a week or two

Anime/manga is something for me to do when I have nothing else to do.
Otherwise I'll practice my japanese, go on forums, practice guitar.

Well, apparently I'm in the minority here, but I have stopped watching anime from time to time, for months at a time even. Usually I go on a binge anime spree and watch tens of seasons of anime consequently then take a break for a few months to do something else, for example watching a show that isn't anime (blasphemy, I know). I'd even say that shows like Doctor Who and Breaking Bad are better than 95% of anime, but nevertheless anime remains as the most consistently entertaining and enjoyable media I've seen, and I've apparently seen a hundred anime seasons/movies in just two years.

The epic part in being an anime fan is that once an anime fan, always an anime fan. If you watched anime when you were a child and then stopped you happen to usually watch it again when you grow up. I love anime and I will never stop. <3

Yep, there are many times where I just can't keep up with anime/manga even on a weekly basis. But it's not such a dramatic thing that it will be the end of anime for me, just a brief period where I'm dedicating myself to other interests or just real life stuff. I know it to be true for me, but this can just be a phase for you as well.
You may be disinterested at the moment, but it won't be the end if you like anime enough.

I tend to take breaks for a couple weeks a few times a year. I'll have a season like this one where I'm fully caught up on a nearly daily basis (besides the days I'm too worn out from early work after having had an unrestful sleep the night before, or when I'm with friends all evening after working), and then I'll have seasons like a couple seasons ago when I was almost four weeks behind because I didn't watch anything for days.

It comes and goes, but as long as there is anime and there are figures out there to buy, I'll be watching.

I sometimes take breaks when watching anime when I'm really busy or when I've grown tired of school girls. But I don't think I'll permanently stop watching anime anytime soon.

Actually, I sometimes think it would be better for me to give up Anime completely, it would give me so much more free time and get me out of my room and off my computer. A different hobby would be much healthier and just as fulfilling.

But then I realise I'm addicted and it's impossible to go cold turkey.

Or of course you could take that opportunity to jump into something else that's just as withdrawn. There are plenty of other things to do on a computer than just watch anime that take up lots of time.

I might take occasional breaks to go out tho. But that's only on rare occasions. :3

That'd be insanely impossible to do. My day doesn't feels complete if I don't do it. I'll only stop when I move to where I can't watch it no matter what.
But besides that, even when I'm absurdely busy, I still make room for animes. Even if I'm busy from 6AM to 11PM, I'll still watch anime until it's 2-3AM, even if I have to wake up early the next day too.

I won't get tired of anime unless all that comes out is only boring moe blob shit every season like Lucky Star and Kill Me Baby.

Or if I get too busy with life to really watch that much anymore except for stuff that comes out of the Gundam and Code Geass franchises. Never too busy to watch stuff from these two marvelous franchises I will make time for them. =D

I actually dropped anime completely for a very large portion of 2010. Things were going very bad in my life and it felt like anime would just make it all even worse, so I avoided it.

But as far as right now, no. I'll probably watch it actively for a few more years yet. Maybe when I'm like 25 and move on to other things then it might fall to the side.

I will turn 30 this year. Even with a family, mortgage, career, there is always SOME time left for the hobby you love. As long as you still enjoy anime, age is no reason to set it aside.

I could never stop watching anime forever. Anime is a very big part of my life. Without anime I would be depressed and sad the whole day because of RL problems. No thats simply impossible! I take short breaks but after this breaks I go on watching anime.

I know how to set priorities, by that I mean school and life -> anime, but I'd never stop watching it permanently. I did stop watching it for about a year when I was 13 or 14, but since then I've been watching it a lot again. Doubt I'll ever stop watching it.

I've taken some pretty long breaks before, usually when I get really sucked up in to a video game for a while or I'm just watching regular TV series and movies. But I'll always watch anime, couldn't imagine quitting such an awesome form of entertainment what possible reason could there be? Why miss out?
