According to the official twitter of Tower Record, the second season of Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love 1000% was announced at a live event Maji Love Live 1000% held on January 15th.

Well I didn't think the 1st season was that great, but I'm kinda looking forward to this for some reason.
Let's hope there will finally be some romance!

It's the same because it's based on the game, which the characters are the same.
